Test Drive Meme 002
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Luggage Handling
The last carriage of the train is full of luggage. It’s all empty but there sure is a lot of it. Suitcases, old fashioned travelling trunks, rucksacks. And they are scattered everywhere, a safety concern to be sure.
Or perhaps the most fun place on the train, if you are thinking about it right. These cases could be anything, a fort, a bunker. How many can you stack up until they are too high to reach or they tumble down on top of you?
Let out your inner child and relieve some of the boredom of being stuck on a train by creating the luggage castle of your dreams, or step in before disaster strikes and attempt to bring some organisation to this chaos.
Scavenger Hunt
You’ve found yourself on a world that seems to be one huge scrap yard. At least all the parts you can see are and you aren’t the only ones there. A small fighter craft has crash landed here and the pilot needs help fixing their craft to get out of here!
Team One The parts needed must be around here somewhere! This place has all sorts and so it’s just a matter of trying to sort through all the junk to find what you are looking for.
Team Two Some parts from the actual ship are salvageable but it’s going to take a team to get this thing sky worthy again. Fix what can be fixed and get the craft ready for the spare parts that will hopefully be found.
Team Three This planet is not without its nuisances. Most prominent are some strange cyborg rats that have a taste for wiring. Fend them off before they get into the craft and render all the hard work undone.
A picnic with a view
Heroes deserve rewards every now and again and after a few days of protecting a settlement from strange shape shifting alien blobs there is a moment to relax before boarding the train once more.
What a place to relax in. High up on a cliff overlooking a vast plain of crystal stalagmites. The light of two suns reflects of them creating a dazzling prism mirror effect of colour, it’s almost like hovering above a sea of rainbows.
A picnic has been provided by some grateful villagers, the food is strange but delicious and a perfect way to unwind after a stressful few days.
Glorfindel | Tolkien
[The elf found himself on a team that was looking for parts. He wasn't familiar with anything they were tasked to find but he would still try his best to figure out what he was looking for. He pulled up his long hair into a ponytail, deciding that if he was going to be sifting through piles of stuff, he might as well have it out of his way.
He made his way through the piles in the junkyard, carefully stepping around questionable areas. That's when he spotted what he believed was a needed part. It was just out of reach but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try to get it. He could get it if he climbed the pile carefully, thankful that he was lighter than Men. But the pile still wobbled under his weight as he reached for the part.
That was a bad idea. The pile came down, sending him landing on the ground with parts around him. He had lost what he was looking for and now was sitting on the ground with a mess around him.]
That didn't go well.
wildcard- train
[Want to run into him on the train? He's exploring around, sticking his nose into various compartments to investigate. Choose your own adventure!]
Scavenger Hunt because I'm nice that way
Trouble is one way to put it, but not for this mighty balrog slayer.
He's slower to move down his pile of junk, picking his way with a bit more care as he keeps a careful eye on the other elf.
"Not as well as other efforts, no. Need a hand?"
no subject
But he would never forget what they were capable of, even though he had been fond of them once.
"Makalaurë- Maglor. No, thank you, I just should have been more careful trying to find my way around."
Wildcard
Unsure about this, the royal advisor was still going to do his research and that's what he was up to. Going through the cars now, he was trying to cross reference one of the things he'd found and saw a new face.
Something about the other put him in mind of Maglor, but Ignis nodded to acknowledge the other's presence.
no subject
He hadn't seen anyone who wasn't an elf so far but it appeared there were others on this train, at least one from the race of Men. He couldn't help but stare for a moment before nodding back, not wanting to disturb him if he was busy with something else.
no subject
Here was different and idly he wondered what Noctis would do if he were here. Mind games and ambiguity weren't his own personal thing, but he had to start somewhere. He highly doubted being good and helping others would get him home any faster but he decided he would start with the basics with another sigh at himself. So he would just ask one question.
"Are you alright?"
no subject
"I'm fine, I was just exploring around. I've just arrived and have never been to a place like this before," he admitted. Then again, this seemed like something that was invented by Men which was fascinating to him.
"Have you been here long?"
no subject
"I've arrived only recently." the advisor replied, not sure if he'd seen this one before and decided that he hadn't.
"I take it you've just arrived on board?"
Re: Glorfindel | Tolkien
Uh oh the Twins are here...well. One of them.
no subject
"I'm fine, just had a bit of trouble," he laughed as he got to his feet and gave Elladan a smile. "I didn't expect you here? Where is your brother?"
He took looking after the twins very seriously and he had to make sure harm didn't come to them even in a strange place such as this.
no subject
"I haven't been able to find him." He admits quietly.
no subject
"Come on, let's find our way back."
no subject
"I'm sure we will." He agrees, trustingly. He can't imagine being without his other half. It doesn't bear too careful examination.
"Did you find what you needed?"
no subject
"I wonder who else from home we may encounter here. So we shouldn't lose hope."
no subject
"Maybe he's hiding from you, Captain!"
Scavenger hunt
Are you all right? [ He stretched out a hand in case Glorfindel needed a hand up. ]
no subject
[The last thing he expected to see was one of Feanor's sons holding out a hand to help him up. He took it gratefully as he got to his feet before letting it go.]
Are any of your brothers here?
no subject
[ Curufin was a different person than he had been under the influence of the Oath. He was free of it. He was himself again. He could help people and be glad of the chance to do so. ]
Is your lord here, or anyone else from Gondolin? [ Of course he recognized Glorfindel from the old days in Valinor, and knew the Elf-lord had gone to the Hidden City with Turgon. ]
no subject
[Maglor and Caranthir were one thing but he did not remember Feanor as being someone who was even close to reasonable. Trouble followed him wherever he went.]
I haven't seen anyone else yet. But that doesn't mean they can't be here as well.
no subject
[ That is, Curufin is hoping trouble won't follow Fëanor, but if it does, Curufin will be on hand to step in. ]
Of course. It seems that people appear suddenly, so there is no telling who might show up. It would be good if some of your people came.
[[ OOC: My favorite image of Glorfindel,Ecthelion, and Turgon. ]]
no subject
[Perhaps their world had changed. If Morgoth and Sauron weren't here, perhaps there was a chance. But he wasn't sure how much of a second chance he wanted to give Feanor after everything.]
Who else has made it here from our world?
no subject
[ Curufin is hopeful nowadays. But he wouldn't blame Glorfindel for his wariness. ]
Maedhros is here as well. And I caught a glimpse of a dark-haired Elf who looks a little like Maglor's foster-son Elrond, so perhaps he's one of Elrond's sons.
