Test Drive Meme 002

Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!

3. Have much fun!

Happy testing!

Luggage Handling

The last carriage of the train is full of luggage. It’s all empty but there sure is a lot of it. Suitcases, old fashioned travelling trunks, rucksacks. And they are scattered everywhere, a safety concern to be sure.

Or perhaps the most fun place on the train, if you are thinking about it right. These cases could be anything, a fort, a bunker. How many can you stack up until they are too high to reach or they tumble down on top of you?

Let out your inner child and relieve some of the boredom of being stuck on a train by creating the luggage castle of your dreams, or step in before disaster strikes and attempt to bring some organisation to this chaos.

Scavenger Hunt

You’ve found yourself on a world that seems to be one huge scrap yard. At least all the parts you can see are and you aren’t the only ones there. A small fighter craft has crash landed here and the pilot needs help fixing their craft to get out of here!

Team One The parts needed must be around here somewhere! This place has all sorts and so it’s just a matter of trying to sort through all the junk to find what you are looking for.

Team Two Some parts from the actual ship are salvageable but it’s going to take a team to get this thing sky worthy again. Fix what can be fixed and get the craft ready for the spare parts that will hopefully be found.

Team Three This planet is not without its nuisances. Most prominent are some strange cyborg rats that have a taste for wiring. Fend them off before they get into the craft and render all the hard work undone.

A picnic with a view

Heroes deserve rewards every now and again and after a few days of protecting a settlement from strange shape shifting alien blobs there is a moment to relax before boarding the train once more.

What a place to relax in. High up on a cliff overlooking a vast plain of crystal stalagmites. The light of two suns reflects of them creating a dazzling prism mirror effect of colour, it’s almost like hovering above a sea of rainbows.

A picnic has been provided by some grateful villagers, the food is strange but delicious and a perfect way to unwind after a stressful few days.

He was right--she did make a crappy pinball, and that did make her laugh, just a little bit.

"So I guess if you call me Pinball Wizard that's gonna be sarcasm?" Renee asked. Decent humor should be met with more...well, she always thought her humor was more questionable, but she was at least trying.

"Tony did it. He wasn't sure Lightning could heal it, and I didn't want her to waste it on me if someone else needed it more than I did. It kinda hurts sometimes, but not more than other broken bones I've had, so I figure it's doing fine. Besides, it hasn't been that long since I did it." She shrugged. "You can look at it if you want, I don't mind. And yeah, don't call me Pinball Wizard. I'm only joking." In case it wasn't obvious.

Bruce chuckles and shakes his head for her question. “I leave the nicknames to Tony; he’s got a million of them.”

Don’t think about home, focus on the here and now, try to make this crap work. Who knew that Tony could occasionally give good advice?

He nods and goes to one knee to be more on her level. “Let me have a look. I was a doctor in another life. We’ll see what kind of grade I need to give Tony.”

Renee snorted at that. "You're telling me. I'm surprised I haven't earned any from him yet, all things considered. In the first couple days I was here, he and I had sort of a troll war. I'm still not sure who won, but damn I wanted to punch him a bit." But she'd made sure that interaction was on video, just so she could be sure she didn't...

Even clocks are right twice a day, as the saying goes...

Wiggling her way out of the makeshift sling, she held up her arm so he could see it, manipulate it, and generally get a better look, while also giving a snort of disdain. "If you were a medico once, I don't see any reason why you still aren't. I'd let you treat me. Wouldn't be the first time I got treated by a big guy with a cool-colored skin tone. You've got a lot less fur though--that's not a jab. And I think you're bigger than Hank." Not that Renee had a ton of interaction with the X-Men, but her powers had been enough to pique McCoy's curiosity more than once.

"I can do anything that doesn't require fine manual dexterity." If this big furry Hank guy can do it, more power to him. "If it does, I can give instructions to someone with smaller hands."

Mostly he's looking for any sign of misaligned bones, unusual swelling, or signs that the blood flow to her fingers is impeded. Those he can all do without touching directly and potentially causing her unnecessary pain.

"I think you'd have to try harder to hurt me too--I mean I'm not saying you couldn't, I'm not invulnerable, but..." Renee. Calm down. This is a really weird place to geek out, anyway. Besides, you don't need to make the guy uncomfortable.

"Don't mind me, I think I've moved over to babbling. But it doesn't hurt." Even the manipulation. Tony did a pretty good job, though maybe she hadn't actually gotten the bones misaligned in the first place. She could've gotten that lucky. Everything looks good.
