Knight Quest

Upstairs in the games carriage there is a VR game set. There are enough headsets and controllers for four people to play. One of the games is Knight Quest!

A game that can either be played on single adventure mode or with the other three headsets in a campaign mode. It is a typical fantasy rpg about a young hero who is searching for a magical item to save the world. The story is simple but fun and engaging. The hero has a sword and shield and fighting in this game requires some physical skill, but practice makes perfect!

Games are a good way of gaining skills so team up and save the world, fighting monsters and practising fighting in a safe controlled environment! Just… Don’t bash into each other.

Making your own Fun

The standard coach doesn’t have all that much in it. Just rows of seats, though at the front of the carriage seats have been ripped up and bookshelves installed.

It’s a good place to read or write in their journals. Or annoy other passengers by climbing from one side of the carriage to the other without touching the floor.

Rehabilitation

The train has arrived at a collection of planets. That is good because your task is finding a place for the lindusi (large lizard creatures, recently rescued from a dying planet) to be settled and the more choices the better.

Team One

The first job is predominantly scouting. The scientists in charge of the lindusi relocation project have given the team a list of important features for a planet to have.

It’s like a scavenger hunt but for running water, certain types of plants, prey animals and other features. They have lent the void treckers some basic scientific equipment for testing the environment.

Team Two

Not all of these planets are going to be empty of hostile creatures. The second teams task is to accompany the first team and keep them safe. They have been given shielding devices, easy to use energy shields large enough to fit two people behind. They are handheld and a quick press of a button will activate the shield.

There are plenty of predators, from bears to strange flying aliens that want to eat you. Good luck!

Team Three

Once a suitable planet has been found the third team are to get the lindusi there. In shuttle ships. They aren’t too difficult to pilot, which is good because the lindusi relocation program is very short staffed.

Once they are safely landed it is a case of releasing them into the wild, in safe locations away from any immediate danger. The lindusi are still recovering from their trip through space after all.

The marksman fell short of the row of chairs, tried to roll to get off the ground faster, but ended up just colliding with the chairs instead.

"Ow!" He complained rubbing where he'd bonked his head. He looked around and grinned sheepishly when he saw the advisor standing there.

"What happened to all the chairs that used to be here?"

The advisor let out a sigh as he looked at the man on the ground. "They were taken down and repurposed." He really wanted to say something more but thought better of it. So instead, he moved over to where Prompto was and handed him the tea.

"Are you alright?"

A small fall and bump on the head should be just fine as they endured worse. But Ignis wasn't the mama of the group for nothing.

Prompto's eyebrows rose, unsure about that answer. "Repurposed for what? Is that a normal thing around here?"

He somehow managed to turn himself around and sit cross legged on the ground without spilling the tea and took a sip. "Thanks- oh yeah! I'm fine," he laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I was just bored and I heard about this game called 'Floor is Lava' and thought I'd try it. We need to put a chair between the doorway and this first row of chairs. I would've been able to make it then!"

"It can be." That came out as a sigh. It really depended on how much of a mood Tony was in at any given time as to what was getting repurposed and when.

Another sigh came out after Ignis got word of what exactly it was that Prompto was doing. He'd never personally tried the game, thinking it a waste of time and energy that could be put to better use. For a moment he felt lucky the king wasn't here, because he was more than sure that Noct would be playing the game right along with him. And speaking of games..

"They do have video games in the gaming car. Those might be safer to try."

Prompto's gaze dropped to the teacup and frowned. "Yeah, I've tried those but.. I miss Noct when I play those."

He hadn't told Ignis what had happened on the train, but the statement he said was true even if he wasn't separated from his king simply because of being kidnapped by voidtrecker people.

His heart went out to the blonde. He missed Noctis every single day even though he never said a word about it. When it got too bad, he would make some of his favourite meals, like he had that first night, the Papa Bird and Baby bowl.

Thinking on that he nodded. "Are you hungry? When was the last time you ate?" Here at least, he could take care of someone from the team.

It was strange, he was so used to having the other three men around. They were his brothers and fellow Crownsguardsmen. It was so strange being in this place without them- especially Noct.

At least he had Iggy. He looked up and smiled whether he really felt like it or not. "Yeah! That would be great! Maybe something sweet- or whatever you come up with." He had complete faith in Ignis' ability to concoct amazing things in the kitchen. "I think that's where I left my boots anyway."

Ignis chuckled lightly. It was nice to have at least one of the brothers here with him and so he nodded. "I can see if I can recreate the Peppery Daggerquill Rice or even the
Spicy Long-Bone Rib Steak." Those were two of Prompto's favourites back home and he tried to think of something sweet to make to go along with it.

The blonde got a look about leaving his boots in there but Ignis just tsk'd and they went on their way.
