We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.

IC Month

This month is the month of Domino. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "Life was made for good friends and great adventures."

The challenge is: Any thread where you are meeting new CR earns you two team points! The thread must be with someone you have not written with before in game but assumed CR is alright (e.g if they are your roommate, or a castmate).

Threads that fulfil this criterial can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This months chore assignments are:

Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train.

As the month ticks over into the month of Domino the train will stop to pick up new passengers. When everyone rejoins the train they will notice that there is a fourth sleeper carriage to accommodate new arrivals.

They will also notice a new post on the ICP. It will go live with the intro tomorrow but more information can be found here.

Outside of that it is noted that there is a library in the standard coach.

This has all been noted on the setting page. If your character does anything to alter to the setting please let me know!

Important Dates

This month event will be a world event on 10th January. An info and plotting post will go up on 7th January

Reserves will open 18th January with a TDM on the 15th January. Apps are between 21st and 28th January. AC will run 23rd to 30th January.

Other Info

A quick reminder about the ICP- characters can only make video and voice posts either to everyone or to a specific cabin or room. The ICP is not much more than a glorified tanoy system and though sometimes the train itself will post text on the screens- and sometimes characters can reply in kind for the most part there is no text capability on the network. I'm not sure how well he'll get along with 11 to be honest. 11's a chatty cat, and Bucky will probably regard him as someone best avoided. Too extroverted and playful, it gets in the way of Bucky being all hard on himself.

She serves chaos and darkness but is currently in 'deep cover' because Tony threatened her with endless pain if she hurt anyone on the train (that might not be how Tony remembers that conversation...)

Fingon is an elven warrior prince who seriously misread the genre of the book he was in, and would be nursing the cracked skull to prove it if he hadn’t shown up here instead.
Plans: Well, after a fun opening moth where he died, was kidnapped, found out his cousins were even more of a wreck than usual and he had to share oxygen with his least favorite uncle, and experienced the dreaded powdery shit again, Fingon is in the mood for something relaxing. Throw him into something dangerous, please?

About them: Final Fantasy XV. Cerebral, strategist, calm, and has pinpoint accuracy with daggers which can be elementally enhanced. He can summon and dismisses his weapons too. Ignis has manners in spades, he's an excellent chef, and is an excellent healer. He is also the leader of the Blue Team which is growing.

About them: Kingdom Hearts 3. In Birth By Sleep, the God Hades describes Terra as dark moody and powerful. Keyblade wielder, slow, but hits hard. Serious, tries to do the right thing, can be on the naive side, keeps his word, protects & loves his friends and can summon his weapon too.
Plans: Nothing solid yet.

Character: Eva Iden'no ("Leaf")
About them: Eva is Team Orange Leader and she's from a Pokemon AU that is Live Action. TLDR: The pokemon look different than the cartoonish depictions and Eva uses the Japanese names for (most) things. It's an AU where all the protags are ladies who are more or less dragged into the higher-stakes plot against their will, though they are not the centre of it.

Eva herself is post SunMoon UltraSun UltraMoon plotline/s, so about 23 years old. She comes with a clefairy named Princess, and recently got her pokedex back. Princess is an adorable ball of sassy fluffy. Totally not a pokemon in the level 80s, nope. Just harmless fluffy pink pseudo-rabbit-like (middle one) pokemon's vestigial wings. Not like he's level 80...

Plans: Not much outside meeting new people. Maybe get some teambuilding stuff re: Orange team happening? I have a vague desire to trigger her PTSD at some point.

Princess will be a sass-master as he makes those laundry baskets home. Empty, full, clean, dirty. Those are his beds now. :3c

CR wanted: Everything please, especially if she can talk forever about her world (and ??? at everyone else's culture.) I'm just gonna assume by now everyone who's not new to the train has at last seen Princess and is aware said pink fluff belongs to Eva.

About them: Long-suffering magical ex-cop who's now on her third unwilling heroic crusade. Didn't arrive with weapons, just wants her gunblade back. Give Lightning A Gun 2k19 2k20. Big Sister extraordinaire. Still one of the designated white mages of the train, to her dismay. Cabin 1-A, Red team.
Plans: Now she's caught up from her disappearance she's back to being a general fixture around the train, herding Red team and/or people in general. She'll patrol the train and run some antigravity training if the device manual she ordered comes in properly at the station. If you're under twenty and she's talked to you already she's probably making sure you eat properly.
CR wanted: Please she needs extroverted people who'll drag her around and be her friend. She also needs some people to look after and look after her in turn before she turns Train Cop into her job.

About them: Nerdanel has the (un)lucky priviledge to be the wife and mother of 80% of the reason for the shit that goes down in Tolkien's Silmarillion, aka the Bible to LOTR & the Hobbit (the other 20% is caused by actual Satan) She loves her husband and her sons very much, but there is no denying they are Stupid Idiots (tm) and Nerdanel basically threw up her hands and said Fuck It (but much more politely) at the start of the Silmarillion and vanishes out of the story like a sane, reasonable individual without a death wish. Oh, and she's an Artist. She happens to be so good at sculpture that people have, in canon, mistaken her statues as real people.
Plans: she's spent the first month or two basically reminding her family that she loves them, but they are Idiots, and working out if she loves Feanor enough to let him back into her bed. I am hoping for her to branch out a bit and meet other people!
CR wanted: ANYTHING. Someone give her scuplting material so she can leave life-like replicas of people around and spook people.

Character: Kaito Kuroba aka KID the Phantom Thief
About them: Kaito is just an ordinary Japanese High School Student, promise, who just so happens to be a magician in his spare time. Oh, and he moonlights (hah) as an internationally famous jewel thief in his spare time. But that's not odd right? He's only trying to catch his father's murderers! Oh and find a jewel that might actually grant immortality. He's a genius level prankster who does brilliantly in class to the great despair of his teacher who would probably like to expell him, and his favourite "Critics" are the genius Teen Detectives of his world, who he deliberately taunts out with coded riddles that warn of his next target. How no one has connected the amateur magician who hangs out with the Inspector in charge of catching the KID and his daughter with the thief who uses tricks that said magician's Magician Father once used the world may never know...
Plans: I desperately need him to plan a heist or start a prank war. Any takers?
CR wanted: anything and everything! Kaito is a friendly guy, but he keeps masks up a lot until people know him well. On the train, the only people who know his secret identity are the two Detectives from his world (Conan and Heiji), because he's DAMN GOOD at pretending that he's nothing more than a student. SOMEONE CALL HIM OUT. Alternatively, toss fish at him and watch him scream.

About them: FFXIV 5.0 compliant. The quick n dirty is she was from the first and worked with the crystal exarch on his efforts to get the warriors of light over to the first. She was (mostly) successfully sent to the source, but her aether was sheared in half on the way. She arrived in the source around the start of Heaveansward and alternated living in Ishgard helping build the machinist guild and doing mercenary work for the Empire.

About them: Captain America, aka the first successful super-soldier, aka the Guy Who Doesn't Run Away From Fights, aka Bucky's Best Friend, aka the Reason the Avengers broke up. He's just a guy who wants to do the right thing and has a very strong moral center. He can throw motorcycles and lift helicarrier girders. Also, he's an artist. Probably voted "most likely to die saving someone's life."
Plans: He's new, so. Protec Bucky, get into trouble. Somehow.
CR wanted: All the things. Canon, cross-canon, whatever. Other artists would be great.

Plans: She's still working on learning how to maybe use her magic.. but it's still a far off thing.

Things to avoid: Head puns unless you want to make her cry. (Sorry to confuse anyone not familiar with the canon.)

About them: Superficial flirt on the outside, insecure crybaby on the inside. On a permanent mission to make everyone smile and have fun after coming from a place where that was kind of hard.
Plans: Not particularly.
CR wanted: Anything at all! I already have quite a bit of CR with Madoka, but Inigo is newer and I'm still working on it for him, haha. So please throw people at him! He's friendly, although a touch dramatic, so it's easy for him to meet people. Although his first instinct upon meeting a girl is flirting since he.. literally doesn't know what else to do.. It's his shyness coping mechanism, forgive him.
Things to avoid: Nothing for me, but if you really desperately do not want Inigo to even attempt to flirt with your female character just let me know and we'll work around it!

If Madoka wants magic help, she could ask spider!! She had to learn magic from base principles so she has some insight. As Kumoko specifically says in canon: Ah, if a small white creature came up to me and said, make a contract with me and become a magical girl!, I'd totally say yes at this point.

But yes Lightning and Inigo was the dark horse CR I didn't know I needed and we will get them to be less awkward if it kills me.

Plans: No plans, Dread's just here to be calm, competent, and sane, which... basically describes him and only him on the train. (Sorry, Sarai, you're not calm normally, you're an excitable little bundle of energy.)

About them: He's from the World of Darkness, a place a lot like our Earth but darker and chock full of supernatural weird critters. He's one of those. A Corax/Tengu/wereraven, pick your poison. He's a bit sneaky, aims to spy on people and learn everything because he can.
Plans: New kid! He's on the Orange team. Other than trying to be a flock with Paper, so far not too much. He's going to be a bit wary of the arachnid types, because werespiders are Not Necessarily Good where he hails from...
CR wanted: Pretty open to anything, really!
Things to avoid: If he's on a mission and dies, that's on him. I'm not trying to get him killed. (injuries okay; as a werecritter he can regenerate.)


Character: Sarai Thunderstorm (freeasmyhair)
About them: Cute, sweet, polite and nice (usually). Co-Warrior of Light with her MUCH HUGER husband, Dread Thunderstorm. She's an Au Ra, and she doesn't reach 5'. She's used to looking up. She's a bard, used to smoothing things over and chatting people up; also telling stories and singing/playing music. Her bow also doubles as her harp. She's on the Purple team, with her husband.
Plans: Big mom energy, also with hints of Deanna Troi flavor. Sarai's not really an empath or anything, just very sensitive to moods and so on. I do plan to have her pay to get her White Mage job crystal back so she can heal people, too...
CR wanted: Again, pretty open to anything, really!

About them: Jerkass mutant teenager with a chip on her shoulder. Thorn in Tony's side. Somehow she's managed to make friends with a couple of people on the train--Ash, Pete, Gwen, Prisoner, etc.
Plans: Prank people maybe. Get yeeted across the train when she scares one Bucky Barnes, and think it's cool/fun. Do things with other Purple team folks and others--Renee kinda is the type to ignore team lines. Maybe get a crush on another redhead. Oh, my.
CR wanted: Again, pretty open to anything!
