Test Drive Meme 007
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Void Trecking
The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!
Board Games
The game carriage is full of games. Every board game imaginable from silly party games to serious strategy games that last for hours. There are a disproportionate amount of games about trains.
Grab some friends, grab a game and some beanbags and get playing! Dive into a world of deck building or play a silly card game. A great way to alleviate boredom.
Happy Holidays
You have arrived in a place which might remind you of Victoria London if Victoria London had floating palaces and was ruled by wizards.
Their rule is strict and any kind of Winter celebration is banned. You have been called by a group of rebels to help with an underground celebration.
Team One
Distraction. Be out in the city, keep watch. If the guards get anywhere near the secret entrances distract them. Perhaps by being a lost tourist. Perhaps by causing mayhem. Make sure the organisers and party goers can arrive without a hitch.
Team Two
A party is not complete without food. The party is being held underground and there isn't much in the way of kitchens and do help bake in people's houses and smuggle the food across the city. Careful of guards.
Team Three
The venue needs decorating and the presents need wrapped. It might be an underground bunker but everyone is determined to make it the best festival ever, despite the risks. Help make it happen!
Party
Of course after all that hard work there is time to celebrate before you must board the train once more.
Eat drink and be merry!
Lan Sizhui | The Untamed
Sizhui looks innocent enough - how could he possibly be a fierce competitor? Yet opponent after opponent leaves the compartment he occupies with their head hanging rather low. He, meanwhile, is quietly setting up the board, gathering fallen pieces and making sure everything is neat and tidy for his next match.
What better way to pass some time in a void? It's better than worrying excessively, surely.
Happy Holidays: Team One
Underneath his proper bearing mischief lies. Sizhui puts those skills to use, tricking the guards by pretending to be sick or raving on and on about... He isn't even sure what. But it works and when the guards leave him to his insanity - how kind of them, really - he gives a tiny smirk. Father can't say he learned nothing from him, though just thinking about him leaves his heart aching.
Party
He will relax during the festivities, enjoying a drink or two. Sizhui isn't loud - unless there is a reason to be - so expect him to sit on the sidelines, smiling at those around him. Care to share a drink with him? Or you could sit down for a nice chat.

But then Wei Ying peeks out, immediately finding the source, then steps out with a mostly steady smile and arms folding over his chest in an attempt at scolding. "What would Lan Zhan say if he heard you?"
The act lasts all of a second longer before he flings himself forward to reach his son to make sure he's alright.
no subject
"Father!" he ignores the admonishment and meets Wei Ying halfway, throwing his dignity to the wind. There are more important matters than dignity.
"Are you well? What have you encountered?" he too is searching for wounds, yet his smile never fades, "It's good to see you."
no subject
"Mm, fine! We're both fine," he pulls back, though keeps one arm slung over Sizhui's shoulders as he urges them back to the shadows to keep watch. He'll deliver this alcohol later...
His son matters more. "Lan Zhan's here somewhere. Did you get on on the last platform? I didn't see you!"
no subject
"We're both...?" he questions, wrapping an arm around Wei Ying's waist as they walk, "Father Lan Zhan is here too?"
They are both Father to him and he remembers telling them he loved them frequently as a child. The feeling hasn't changed.
"I hurried onto the train. I didn't want to waste time."
no subject
Casual affection like this with family and friends are like life's blood to Wei Wuxian. But he also knows he'd been intensely worried about this child of his. And now he's here!
"Aaah, it wouldn't have left without you." He wouldn't have let it, had he seen his boy there! "Did the Void give you a headache?"
no subject
Sizhui hadn't expected to see anyone he knew - much less family. They may not be blood related, but that has never mattered.
"Slightly. Everyone was so kind. I was able to acquire some tea once I was settled." and he knows now not to look out the windows, "Do you know the reason behind this party?"
no subject
Wuxian smiles, glad their fellow passengers had taken just as good care of his son as they had him and Lan Zhan. "There are good people on the train." And now there's one more~
He shrugs. "Does there have to be a reason to party?"
no subject
"It's not something I expect. Given the situation, they could be understandably tense."
Sizhui thinks their resiliency is admirable and he is happy to chip in and do chores.
"Mm no, there doesn't." he grins, "I have a reason to celebrate."

"Sizhui...?"
He doesn't expect to see him. It's the boy he took back to his clan over a decade ago and raised him as his own to be a part of the Lan Clan. Up until now, the boy has grown and he has believed all is well. So colored him surprised that his own son decided the village life back home in Cloud Recesses is not for him.
"Sizhui. You are here." Is that a bit of a smile seeing his own son? "Have you recently arrived?"
no subject
"Very recently." his expression softens into an affectionate smile and he bows, "I had no choice. I found myself before the train and I took a chance boarding it."
Next thing he knew, he was part of this...scheme. It seems harmless and he likes seeing people happy.
"I did not expect to see you, Hanguang-Jun. Are you well?"
no subject
Except now, Lan Zhan appears looking ridiculous. He smells like detergent and wearing an apron. He tied his hair back with a ponytail with a white ribbon. The very image of perfection (...to the point the juniors were terrified and in awe of his presence) and Lan Zhan looks rather homely.
He relaxed his stance, smile genuine. "Mn. You took a chance." Lan Sizhui is more like Wei Wuxian by his mischievous nature.
"I am glad to see you." No scolding, no chiding. Warm words from the heart of a father who is happy to see him and misses to see his child. Even though Sizhui has grown, he is longing to fuss over him. "Did you eat? Have you pack anything? If you're tired, let's find you a room for a place to rest."
no subject
He makes no comment on his father's appearance. Frankly, Lan Zhan could be wearing something completely far-fetched - like a dress or a kimono - and Sizhui would not taunt him.
"My chance has been rewarded." he approaches the other man, beaming, "I know I will be well now." because no matter the circumstances, his father has found a way for them to carry on, "I ate and I only have what I am wearing." he shakes his head, "I'm not tired. I did have a headache earlier, but it feels better."
no subject
"Headache...? You looked out at the window at the void, haven't you?"
no subject
"Aren't we all stowaways?" Sizhui lowers his hands and presses his lips into a guilty line, "I was curious."
Voids are strange things and he has been taught to examine oddities.

Of course, Cloud Recesses medicine consists of herbs and are known for their bitterness, but effective cures. But by medicine, he meant aspirin in pill form.
"Have you seen the rest of the train yet?"
no subject
"No. I haven't had the chance."
