Test Drive Meme 007
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Void Trecking
The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!
Board Games
The game carriage is full of games. Every board game imaginable from silly party games to serious strategy games that last for hours. There are a disproportionate amount of games about trains.
Grab some friends, grab a game and some beanbags and get playing! Dive into a world of deck building or play a silly card game. A great way to alleviate boredom.
Happy Holidays
You have arrived in a place which might remind you of Victoria London if Victoria London had floating palaces and was ruled by wizards.
Their rule is strict and any kind of Winter celebration is banned. You have been called by a group of rebels to help with an underground celebration.
Team One
Distraction. Be out in the city, keep watch. If the guards get anywhere near the secret entrances distract them. Perhaps by being a lost tourist. Perhaps by causing mayhem. Make sure the organisers and party goers can arrive without a hitch.
Team Two
A party is not complete without food. The party is being held underground and there isn't much in the way of kitchens and do help bake in people's houses and smuggle the food across the city. Careful of guards.
Team Three
The venue needs decorating and the presents need wrapped. It might be an underground bunker but everyone is determined to make it the best festival ever, despite the risks. Help make it happen!
Party
Of course after all that hard work there is time to celebrate before you must board the train once more.
Eat drink and be merry!

"Very recently." his expression softens into an affectionate smile and he bows, "I had no choice. I found myself before the train and I took a chance boarding it."
Next thing he knew, he was part of this...scheme. It seems harmless and he likes seeing people happy.
"I did not expect to see you, Hanguang-Jun. Are you well?"
no subject
Except now, Lan Zhan appears looking ridiculous. He smells like detergent and wearing an apron. He tied his hair back with a ponytail with a white ribbon. The very image of perfection (...to the point the juniors were terrified and in awe of his presence) and Lan Zhan looks rather homely.
He relaxed his stance, smile genuine. "Mn. You took a chance." Lan Sizhui is more like Wei Wuxian by his mischievous nature.
"I am glad to see you." No scolding, no chiding. Warm words from the heart of a father who is happy to see him and misses to see his child. Even though Sizhui has grown, he is longing to fuss over him. "Did you eat? Have you pack anything? If you're tired, let's find you a room for a place to rest."
no subject
He makes no comment on his father's appearance. Frankly, Lan Zhan could be wearing something completely far-fetched - like a dress or a kimono - and Sizhui would not taunt him.
"My chance has been rewarded." he approaches the other man, beaming, "I know I will be well now." because no matter the circumstances, his father has found a way for them to carry on, "I ate and I only have what I am wearing." he shakes his head, "I'm not tired. I did have a headache earlier, but it feels better."
no subject
"Headache...? You looked out at the window at the void, haven't you?"
no subject
"Aren't we all stowaways?" Sizhui lowers his hands and presses his lips into a guilty line, "I was curious."
Voids are strange things and he has been taught to examine oddities.

Of course, Cloud Recesses medicine consists of herbs and are known for their bitterness, but effective cures. But by medicine, he meant aspirin in pill form.
"Have you seen the rest of the train yet?"
no subject
"No. I haven't had the chance."
no subject
With a smile, "I'll show you around. Let's find you a room." And everything else like helping him settled in, finding tickets, and getting used to life on the train will follow in place.
no subject
Far larger than any contraption he has ever entered. He reaches into a pocket and reassures himself that his butterflies are safe.
"Have you seen Senior Wen Ning or Senior Wei Ying?"
Otherwise known as Uncle (or cousin) and Father (Mother).
no subject
At his question, "I have not seen Wen Ning. But Wei Ying is here on the train." Or off aiding the people in the city having an adventure in either case, he will return shortly.
"Just follow me. You can rest in my cabin."
no subject
Biting his lip to hide a little smile, Sizhui readjusts his guqin and follows him into the corridor.
"I don't want to impose." but he will rest well in Lan Wangji's cabin.
no subject
Lan Wangji smiles back softly. This is the boy he raised on his own. He takes great pains to protect him and give him a life that Wei Wuxian may have wanted for him. After he...
...after he died. Lan Sizhui was his anchor and hope during those dark days when he lives in isolation for years until he recovered.
Opening the door to his cabin, "Not at all. Rest. I'll see if I can get you some snacks and drinks from the kitchen."
no subject
"Mm." he gives little warning before he embraces Lan Wangji, nestling his cheek against his shoulder, "I'm glad you are here."
no subject
Lan Wangji is not overly affectionate, even to children. However, he wanted to make an effort to be a good parent as his own upbringing, it's absent of parental love. The children he met on the train have an effect on him, so stiffly he hugs him back, his own son and then more firmly.
"So am I." It will take a few moments for Lan Wangji to fetch snacks and drinks from the kitchen in case his son wanted to eat something as dinner will be a while. "Rest, you are safe."
no subject
Sizhui doesn't need Lan Wangji to be anyone but himself. The return of his embrace is a pleasant surprise and he smiles, secretly pleased. When they part, he settles himself onto one of the beds, waiting for his father's return patiently.
His stomach is rumbling a bit. He gives his thanks for the food and drink before partaking of each.
"I know." because he is always safe with Lan Wangji.
no subject
Seeing his son has something to tide for a while, if it's just Sizhui coming on board on his own without the other juniors. "If we face them in other worlds, we won't fight them alone."
no subject
If he sees his fathers in danger, that might change.
"Are there any rabbits?" he grins before taking a sip of tea.
no subject
Lan Wangji is proud of his son for now, for being brave. "Mn. Good. As for rabbits...I have not seen any since I'm board. I think the rabbits back home are in good hands."
Lan Wangji regretted leaving his rabbits behind, but he knew they're better off in Cloud Recesses environment. The juniors back home there will take care of them. They're in good hands. The juniors he trained under his hand are always capable.
"Rest for a bit and I'll find Wei Ying. He's on the train somewhere."
no subject
He nods and lays down, curling up in a familiar position. Sizhui is far more grown, but there is no doubt he is the child Lan Wangji placed in the pile of rabbits years ago.
"He must be happy..." being with Lan Wangji.
