Train Library!
Since Peter has failed at his duty of librarian, Ignis has very graciously taken on this duty. Ash and Feanor have built shelves at the front of the standard carriage where a portion of chairs went mysteriously missing (i.e. Tony destroyed them). Anyway, so Ignis is keeping track of what books are available to borrow, who they originally belong to, and who currently has them.

[Please reply below with the name and description of any book your character is willing to loan to the library. Anyone who wants to use a book from this list may do so and it's simply handwaved that they're borrowing it.
If for any reason, your character is being a dick and purposefully not returning a book, give me or Ignis' mun a heads up. (But limit this please).]

Book Title: Voidtrecker: A Photo Essay
Book Description: A photo essay of different worlds and differing shots of the Voidtrecker. Some are close up, some are far away. Some seem to be taken from inside the train to the outside (there are no photos of void). There are no people and no words, but each photograph is obviously carefully taken and the book tells a story of a journey, if in a strange medium.
Book Title: Help! I've Been Eaten by a Void Train, and Other Horror Stories
Book Description: The first story is about a man who is, as the title suggests, eaten by a sentient void train that goes around worlds eating people.
However the train seems to be made of void? It's weird. Anyways what follows is a psychological thriller that is both wacky and wonderful and terrifying. Sometimes purposefully so and sometimes entirely by accident.
There are three other stories in the book, all equally as weird horror stories. One about planets that are gods, waging and losing worlds in games of chess. Another about gelatinous blob monsters that subsume people and take on their character traits. The final story is about a city surrounded by thorns, where the citizens must vote out its least productive workers each month to be sacrificed to elder gods.
Despite the horror themes the stories are lightly written and are almost spoofs. Or maybe not. It is hard to tell.
Book Title: Filling a Void
Book Description: Is a collection of recruitment posters. Both for the Void Ministry and for various void mission services (it is notable that there is not one for Voidtrecker Express).
They are different in tone and content. Some are 'your world needs you' type and some focus on the skills that an individual can gain.
Void mission recruitment speaks about seeing new worlds, helping people and disaster relief. Some paint it as a big, worthwhile life experience. Others are more blunt and speak about hard work and discipline.
A vast array of people are shown, many different alien species. Sometimes there are no pictures, other times no words. Each have dates and seem to be in chronological order, though it is hard to tell as the dates seem to be the date on their origin world and bare no resemblance to each other.
*Book Title: Empire of Stars: Champion
Book Description: V765 grew up in the empire and is content to be a soldier like her parents. The problem with having famous parents however is that a lot is expected. Fresh out of military college is sent to Planet #98789878987, a notorious planet known for its lawlessness and disdain of the empire's reach.
Can she be the champion of her empire? Can she live up to the expectations of her family? Far from home, surrounded by enemies, can she stay true to her upbringing and bring peace to the multiverse?
*Book Title: Empire of Stars: Resistance
Book Description: Xoe grew up a rebel. Living literally underground on planet #98789878987 her family fight the Empire of Stars who enslave their planet. Xoe is a fighter, tough like all her people. She doesn't back down and she's not afraid of anything.
But a solo mission to scout out an empire fleet is the biggest thing she has ever done. Can she keep her nerve?
The book ends when Xoe and V765 crash into the wilderness after a battle goes wrong.
*Book Title: Empire of Stars: Honour Lost
Book Description: Xoe believes those of the empire to be ruthless and evil and no one is as surprised as she is when her life is saved by a soldier of the empire.
Together they begin a journey to find civilisation once more and both learn that perhaps, what they think they know is completely wrong.
However it takes more than the love of two people to heal a rift of centuries and the two young, idealistic pilots find themselves condemned by their people when they finally are found.
Xoe goes back to her people, encouraged to forget about the pilot. An enemy is an enemy, no matter how much kindness they show you. She returns to her work and tries to put the journey through the wilderness out of her mind. Yet she can not put V765 out of her mind.
V765 is cast out of the empire. Soldiers of the empire do not save rebels. The empire of stars does not show weakness.
But there is no place for a disgraced soldier in a universe where the empire's reach is wide and she lives on the edges of society, taking any work that comes her way.
*Book Title: Empire of Stars: Hope Restored
Book Description: A job comes to V765 that returns her to planet #98789878987. Though she knows she should not she seeks Xoe out.
Disguised as a rebel she joins the resistance, but all the time her and Xoe work to convince them that perhaps the empire should be listened to after all.
Xoe's closest friends begin to take heed and for the first time there is a glimmer of hope.
*Book Title: Empire of Stars: Closing a Door
Book Description: Sometimes it is the youth that must lead the way and after many Dramatic Conversations Xoe and her small band decide to follow V765 and join the Empire of Stars, even if it means leaving their people behind.
If the other books felt like the author was definitely of the Empire of Stars, this book confirms it. Xoe, V765 and the rebels decide that the way of the Empire is right and just and join, fighting against against the rebels in an epic battle that at least takes into account the utter heartbreak of fighting your own people for the greater good.
The series ends with Xoe joining the empire's military college, a bright future ahead of her. She bids farewell to V765 - still exiled because traitors don't get to be citizens even if they help destroy a rebel base, but loosely connected to the military as a gun for hire, and V765 promises that she will see her again when Xoe is a soldier for real.
It is perhaps meant to be a happy ending?
*The Empire of Stars books have a warning taped up next to them: "These were written by a member of the Empire itself. We've previously had to fight them off from taking over a world by force.
Reader discretion is advisedRead at your own discretion."Comic Title: Across the Stars
Comic Description: Sometimes a family is a young man, his robot dog and his void craft. The adventures of Pip, a scavenger who lives by finding scrap metal in space and delivering it to different universes. It's not smuggling it is... Alright it's smuggling but it's a life.
The void craft in the comic is indeed sentient- in a low level. It lights up blue when it is happy, it can sense danger before Pip does and sounds alarms to warn him and Pip talks to it like it can hear him.
But Pip also talks to the robot dog. Pip is an engaging character, friendly and kind and though his 'job' is smuggling, he often gets sidelined into helping people and doing favours for the various people he meets on his adventures.
As it is a drawn medium Nita will notice he is wearing something that looks similar to a SCA on his wrist in panels where his arms are bare.
