Test Drive Meme 006
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Void Trecking
The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!
Relaxing
The newest carriage to be added to the Voidtrecker Express is a rock garden. In a glass domed carriage, flickering with the light of the void the rock garden is a peaceful and medative space, full of mosaics, a pond, fountains and small stony bridges.
It's also the closest to an outside space you have and so is likely to be used for less than peacful activities. Splash in the rivers, race around the paths. Or try and relax on a bench and read amongst the chaos.
Goblin Town
Goblins riding wolves, everyone's favourite foe. The wolves fly, obviously and the goblins fight with short spears, almost like knights on horseback if the knights were terrifying and demonic looking. They are causing trouble by harassing a small village.
Team One
Fight the goblins. A handful of weapons have been provided but mostly you need to try and outsmart the goblins. They can come from any direction, including up. Try and keep the village safe from their attacks.
Team Two
Protect the villagers, help them barricade their houses. Deal with any goblins that get through team one's defences. Some of the villagers want to help and that's alright, some of the villagers want to help and are still in single digits, that's probably less alright. Keep everyone safe!
Team Three
The thing with sieges is, some things still need to happen. People still need to eat. Babies need fed and looked after. Animals need tended. Try and help with the logistics of everything in the heart of the village, as far away from the fighting as possible.
Pick a team, go wild!
Leanne | Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
This... This was so different than what she was seeing before. Never ending hellish nightmares to nothing. It was hard enough that she couldn't really stretch out her wings but then also.... She was surrounded by humans. Humans who murdered her family and clan. The source of her nightmares.
Why? Why was she forcefully awakened and brought here? Please... Please let her go back home and away from all these humans.
[Team Three]
So many animals and nestlings! She sings to help herd the animals to a safer place, using her Galdrars to create a vine barrier to protect both the animals and children. Around the children, they will see a six foot pure white Heron with a golden crest. Anyone who comes near the nestlings/children with anything that could seem like ill intent will have to deal with a birb mom's talons and pecking.
void
But he has no idea. And, granted, is kind of an idiot. But at least he's a well-intentioned one, since he can't really see her sitting there by herself without wanting to make sure she's alright. She doesn't exactly look alright.
"Milady, forgive me for the intrusion, but.. is there a problem?" Other than being stuck on a train hurdling through the void, anyway! That's clearly totally normal.
Re: void
So lost in her thoughts that she didn't sense or noticed Indigo until he was almost right next to her and speaking. She goes to let out a startled cry and quickly whirls around to face him. A hand clasping at her rapidly beating heart.
"Hu-Hu-Human!"
Her mother ought to wash her mouth out with soap.
no subject
Although he's not so sure exactly why that fact is startling. The surprise fades into something more akin to confusion.
"I.. Y-Yes, I'm human, but.." It's kind of hard to find the words when he doesn't know what the problem is, huh. He holds up his hands, palms towards her. "You don't have to be afraid..!"
Fear is the best slot he can put her reaction into right now to have it make even a slight bit of sense, anyway.
no subject
She forces her wings to relax a little as she continues to watch him, giving the universal sign that he means no harm.
"I.... I am sorry my lord.... You startled me..." She will at least try to be civil and just goes to hold her wings veeeery close to herself now. "I didn't sense your approach..."
no subject
He's relieved that she seems a little less panicked now, although it's obvious that she isn't quite feeling comfortable either. Then again, if she's so panicked about humans - which she probably isn't, huh, judging by those wings.. - then he can't fully blame her for not being at ease.
"Please forgive me, milady." He quickly bows before uprighting himself again. "I did not mean to start out on the wrong foot with you. Please allow me to introduce myself-- my name is Inigo."
no subject
She can feel his relief as her own emerald eyes studies him closely, watching him as he stumbles about with his words.
At his bow, she goes to offer him a small curtsey. She was still scared of humans but also she forgve them. So she can try and force herself to speak with this human. "It... It I nice to meet you.... My lord Inigo. I am known of Leanne, the 8th child and 4th daughter of Lozereth."
no subject
That obviously means he can only fall back on the one way he learned how to deal with these situations. He sucks in a breath before a smile appears on his face. "Your name is as beautiful as you are, milady."
Are you sure flirting is the right answer when it comes to someone obviously terrified of humans, Inigo...
"You do not have to fear anyone hurting you here. I suppose I can't speak for everyone, but most people here seem kind."
no subject
Leanne quickly moves a wing to cover her face with it in order to try and hide. This... This was so hard not to flee. She felt bad for swearing at him but, this is what she can do at least to make up for it.
"You... You dont have to act but I do thank you for the kind words, my lord Inigo."
And whoops! She does get a brief scared look at the thought that most people are not this awkward bumbling Beorc. This place is becoming more and more frightening.
"Why is there no fear of such things?"
no subject
Besides, the last question kind of baffles him enough to not even consider the protest anymore. He never thought about things that way enough to even consider that someone would ask something like that. It's why there's a small pause before he seems to find the right words to answer with.
"Well.. I know it's not the case for many places." Naga knows he's had to fight off so many things - both people and other beings! - back home. "But no one hurts one another here. It seems we have been lucky to not have people with evil intentions show up on the train."
no subject
She knew that it was an odd one and that she does have to think about since she is no longer under Serenes' protection. Also besides the forbidden spells she was basically defenseless. Then his words came and she blinks a little.
"Per... Perhaps it is because you are a Beorc and not a Laguz?" A small pause as she realizes what she said could be taken in the wrong context. "But I am glad that so far, my lord Inigo has not found any person with ill intent."
no subject
"Excuse me, milady. I hope it's not a terribly foolish question, but.. what exactly are these 'Beorc' and 'Laguz' you speak of?"

Team Three!
Re: Team Three!
She does notice his height but ha! For once she is taller like everyone else! So ha! Her singing stopped as ahe just goes to play dumb and lets out a few chirps and cheeps.
team three
When he couldn't find any, he sat close to where she is, grimacing and hissing in pain as one of his arm is bleeding from a wolf bite.
"Ah...the smarts." He said to himself.
Re: team three
Leanne is almost frozen in place, frowning as she just can't get the scent of blood away and it would be rude just to move. Maybe... Maybe she can take care of one thing. She reaches down to tear off a portion of the helm of her dress and goes to offer it to him.
no subject
He smiles despite he's in pain. "Hello?" Seeing she tears off a piece of her dress. "Is that for me? It's only a scratch wound."
When it's clearly that it's not a simple scratch wound, but a bite from an animal. He reaches out for it and takes it from her.
"But thank you, my lady."
no subject
A small nod was what she could give him as he accepted the made up bandage. Though she now got a better look at his wound and frowns even more. No, she cannot just leave it be. She wouldn't be a proper Heron otherwise.
A small sigh escapes her and she goes to start singing, focusing on her healing Galdrars in order to not only heal the injury but also to close it up as if it never happened.
no subject
With a nod of his head, "You have my thanks. That feel much better. You can heal with your songs?" He was curious of her abilities, so he hoped she didn't mind if he's asking.
no subject
She jumps a little as he goes to start talking to her. She moves at once to start fidgeting with a lock of hair. "I can.. You should probably wash your arm of the blood."
She moves to start standing up. "I can fetch some for you, my lord."
void
He'd found the rock garden already, but enough people seemed to hang out in there that it didn't seem like a good place to hide out in corvid form, either. Too many to wonder what a bird was doing on the train.
"You look glum, little dove. Anything I can do to turn your frown upside down?" His tone might seem flirty, but here he was taking the jester's route. One wereraven prepared to caper for your amusement!
Re: void
She hasn't fully explored the train, trying ber best to keep away from all the humans on board.
A voice snaps her out of her thoughts and her wings poofed out in surprise as she quickly spins around to see the wereraven approach. She was about to exclaim something but... There was something about him. She wasnt quite sure of it.
The flirtiness of his tone goes over her head and she sighs a little, her wings still not relaxing. "I would not wish to be a burden about my lord but I do thank him for his kind thoughts."
no subject
He paused, then, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "That doesn't mean I'm a ruffian, though. And no, you wouldn't be a burden. I get the idea we're all kind of stuck in this together, you know? Whether we want to be stuck here, or not."
He shrugged, then. "You just seem really ill at ease, and I'm not sure if it's the bunch of strangers, or something else. Just was wondering if there was anything I can do about that. Even if it's just idle and distracting chatter." Because if there was one thing a Corax was good at, it was chattering. And Bran was a typical member of his kind, in that.
no subject
She couldn't quite figure out how she was at ease with him. She goes to let out a small sigh and despite the headache she gets from lookojg outside, glances out the window again.
"I was just remembering my home and also how I cant really stretch my wings in this strange beast. My wings feel so useless here."
I take forever I'm so sorry
He shook his head as she looked out the window. "You're probably asking for trouble, doing that. I've been more than a few places so far in life, and this is the weirdest place I've ever been."
Including the Dark Umbra, though he's not about to say that out loud.
He frowned a bit at her next words, too. Bran's got it easy, he thinks, since when he usually gets his wings, he's a lot smaller--if a raven with a four-foot wingspan can be considered 'a lot smaller'.
"Well, there's always the rock garden, you can at least stretch them here, 'least til we get a mission and can get out on to a real world. Until then, you know?" He paused a moment. "Unless someone tried to take it over again. Or it's suffering through the spider-teens' prank war again..."
Bran hoped not.
