Void Trecking

The thing about being on a train hurtling through void space is there’s not much to see. Outside the window lies an endless void of kaleidoscope colours shifting and swirling. It’s probably best not to stare at it too long. Do so and you might start to imagine order in it. Shapes, places, even figures. But your eyes shift... Back to chaos. Probably best you do something else other than stare out the window. Or convince your fellow passengers that void watching leads to headaches!

Relaxing

The newest carriage to be added to the Voidtrecker Express is a rock garden. In a glass domed carriage, flickering with the light of the void the rock garden is a peaceful and medative space, full of mosaics, a pond, fountains and small stony bridges.

It's also the closest to an outside space you have and so is likely to be used for less than peacful activities. Splash in the rivers, race around the paths. Or try and relax on a bench and read amongst the chaos.

Goblin Town

Goblins riding wolves, everyone's favourite foe. The wolves fly, obviously and the goblins fight with short spears, almost like knights on horseback if the knights were terrifying and demonic looking. They are causing trouble by harassing a small village.

Team One

Fight the goblins. A handful of weapons have been provided but mostly you need to try and outsmart the goblins. They can come from any direction, including up. Try and keep the village safe from their attacks.

Team Two

Protect the villagers, help them barricade their houses. Deal with any goblins that get through team one's defences. Some of the villagers want to help and that's alright, some of the villagers want to help and are still in single digits, that's probably less alright. Keep everyone safe!

Team Three

The thing with sieges is, some things still need to happen. People still need to eat. Babies need fed and looked after. Animals need tended. Try and help with the logistics of everything in the heart of the village, as far away from the fighting as possible.

Leanne was staring off into the void, trying to remember all that happened that made her decide to board this train.

So lost in her thoughts that she didn't sense or noticed Indigo until he was almost right next to her and speaking. She goes to let out a startled cry and quickly whirls around to face him. A hand clasping at her rapidly beating heart.

"Hu-Hu-Human!"

Her mother ought to wash her mouth out with soap.

The reaction seems to startle Inigo almost as much as it startled her in the first place. He quickly glances around, as if he's expecting her to be talking about someone else, before he remembers that - duh, of course - he is the human here.

Although he's not so sure exactly why that fact is startling. The surprise fades into something more akin to confusion.

"I.. Y-Yes, I'm human, but.." It's kind of hard to find the words when he doesn't know what the problem is, huh. He holds up his hands, palms towards her. "You don't have to be afraid..!"

Fear is the best slot he can put her reaction into right now to have it make even a slight bit of sense, anyway.

Leanne kept her hands clenching at her heart, staring wide-eyed at Inigo, trying her best to calm her heart rate. Even though he looks just as shocked or surprised as her.

She forces her wings to relax a little as she continues to watch him, giving the universal sign that he means no harm.

"I.... I am sorry my lord.... You startled me..." She will at least try to be civil and just goes to hold her wings veeeery close to herself now. "I didn't sense your approach..."

"I suppose I should have announced myself.."

He's relieved that she seems a little less panicked now, although it's obvious that she isn't quite feeling comfortable either. Then again, if she's so panicked about humans - which she probably isn't, huh, judging by those wings.. - then he can't fully blame her for not being at ease.

"Please forgive me, milady." He quickly bows before uprighting himself again. "I did not mean to start out on the wrong foot with you. Please allow me to introduce myself-- my name is Inigo."

"It is also on my for not paying any attention, my lord."

She can feel his relief as her own emerald eyes studies him closely, watching him as he stumbles about with his words.

At his bow, she goes to offer him a small curtsey. She was still scared of humans but also she forgve them. So she can try and force herself to speak with this human. "It... It I nice to meet you.... My lord Inigo. I am known of Leanne, the 8th child and 4th daughter of Lozereth."

Wow, this is awkward. It sure doesn't help that he isn't exactly as socially gifted as he always acts like. Which means he's definitely feeling that awkward mood, which only makes him more awkward in turn. It's a downward spiral.

That obviously means he can only fall back on the one way he learned how to deal with these situations. He sucks in a breath before a smile appears on his face. "Your name is as beautiful as you are, milady."

Are you sure flirting is the right answer when it comes to someone obviously terrified of humans, Inigo...

"You do not have to fear anyone hurting you here. I suppose I can't speak for everyone, but most people here seem kind."

Inigo... Inigo what are you doing? Stop. Just stop. She is sensing your awkwardness as it is coming off of you in droves. And also, what is flirting?

Leanne quickly moves a wing to cover her face with it in order to try and hide. This... This was so hard not to flee. She felt bad for swearing at him but, this is what she can do at least to make up for it.

"You... You dont have to act but I do thank you for the kind words, my lord Inigo."

And whoops! She does get a brief scared look at the thought that most people are not this awkward bumbling Beorc. This place is becoming more and more frightening.

"Why is there no fear of such things?"

He's almost about to protest that he's not acting, but - for once - decides to make a better decision here and not do that when there's obviously more important things to discuss here. Save that talk for someone who doesn't seem scared and confused all at once, Inigo.

Besides, the last question kind of baffles him enough to not even consider the protest anymore. He never thought about things that way enough to even consider that someone would ask something like that. It's why there's a small pause before he seems to find the right words to answer with.

"Well.. I know it's not the case for many places." Naga knows he's had to fight off so many things - both people and other beings! - back home. "But no one hurts one another here. It seems we have been lucky to not have people with evil intentions show up on the train."

Leanne tilts her head when he was about to say something but then he decided to drop it. Hrm.. What what it that he was about to say? She kept quiet in order to let him gather his thoughts, especially after her question.

She knew that it was an odd one and that she does have to think about since she is no longer under Serenes' protection. Also besides the forbidden spells she was basically defenseless. Then his words came and she blinks a little.

"Per... Perhaps it is because you are a Beorc and not a Laguz?" A small pause as she realizes what she said could be taken in the wrong context. "But I am glad that so far, my lord Inigo has not found any person with ill intent."

There's definitely no taking those words in the wrong context for Inigo. Although that's mostly since he seems to have no idea what they mean. He stares at her for a moment as he wrecks his brain to try and find any clue as to what they could mean. She says them as if they are very natural, after all, and the last thing Inigo would want to do is look like a total idiot in front of a beautiful woman.

"Excuse me, milady. I hope it's not a terribly foolish question, but.. what exactly are these 'Beorc' and 'Laguz' you speak of?"

The reason they felt natural coming from her was because it was. At his question, she goes to blush and shake her head.

"No... Tis not a foolish question. They are names for our races. I am a Heron Laguz. To be respectful, you would call each other's race by those terms. Speaking of which....."

She goes to bow her head and moves her wings into a submissive position. "I must apologize for speaking to you so rudely and called you since a crude term. I ask for your forgiveness for my rudeness."

He looks slightly surprised as she bows like that, quickly shaking his head - even though that would obviously be hard for her to see in that position.

"No-- No, milady! It is I who should be asking for your forgiveness for suddenly approaching and bothering you like that." Don't say that as if bothering girls isn't literally your side hustle, Inigo. Come on. "I merely thought someone as beautiful as you should not be here standing all by themselves."

He couldn't resist slipping in that remark either.

"I think I perhaps understand the meaning of those words now." Going by her wings, he's assuming that 'heron' part of Heron Laguz is very literal. "One of my friends is a Taguel, actually. I've just never heard the name Laguz being used for it."
