August Information and CR Meme!

We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.

IC Month

This month is the month of Symphony. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "“Sometimes it takes a wrong turn to get you to the right place.."

This means: Tagging into top levels will earn you two points during July and August.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during August AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.

The ingredient of the month is Broccoli. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Red: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Orange: Meal Preparation
Blue: Laundry
Purple: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train

This month, passengers voted for a fireplace in the library:

On the ground floor of the library there is an ornate fireplace. It is set in dark stone into the front wall of the carriage. There is a cute rug in front of it and there are beanbags and other comfortable reading pillows. The fire isn't real- it is holographic and controlled by a dial on the wall but everything about it feels real, it gives off heat, it flickers like fire, it even smells like a log burning fire giving the library a very homey feel to it.

And a pool:

Entering the pool carriage (a singular with a raised roof) will bring you first into a corridor, a set of double doors at either end; beside these doors is a plaque that reads "S'reee's Bathtub". Going on through, there is a pool nearly the width of an entire carriage, allowing for space to walk around. At one end - the shallow end - is a set of cubby holes to one side, to allow clothes to be stored; beside them are a row of showers that double as a place to change. There is also a cupboard squeezed between both where flotation devices, balls, and other swimming-related fun can be found inside. A pump is included for inflating, and there are also breathing gills found, for those who want to breathe underwater.

Over on the other side is the deep end of the pool, and also a raised jumping board with a ladder. Tiny foam fish float in the water, and there is a panel near the doors that allows the temperature to be changed from cold to warm.

About them: Daia's coming back to the train and has been gone for over a year. He has all of his memories, though, and to him it'll be like he was just here yesterday. He's a sweet boy with a terrible past of being hunted. He hasn't bitten people or turned anyone into a vampire (yet). And he'll have René with him as well with his return. He's still team Orange.
Plans: Daia's going to be so confused coming back, but please bring everyone who used to know him to see him again! He'll be happy to see any old CR. And he's going to have a bit of a shock seeing all the new train carriages and things. He's on cooking duty this month, so if anyone wants to help a stressed vampire who's still getting the hang of it or just drop in and try whatever recipes he got his hands on, I'll have a prompt for that at some point. But overall, seeing old CR and meeting new will be my biggest priority this month to get him resettled in.
CR wanted: Mostly positive. My boy deserves nice things. But I'm not against negative, either. So if you think you want some stuff to start with Daia, please feel free hit me up! I'd personally love it if he could get a relationship started, but I know it's the end days, so it might be a bit much to ask for that to happen. Also, if you need to opt-out of anything, such as his bad past or him crushing on your boys, please feel free to drop a note in my Permissions!

Also if you'd like I can throw Allen at him to. I think with both having not so great backgrounds and both deserve nice things they could probably get along.

Character: Heero Yuy | Gundam Wing
About them: New member of Team Red. Not the most talkative guy you'll ever meet. Not as grumpy or emotionless as he looks on the surface. Honestly, part of it's just that he's awkward and not used to social settings. Child soldier types and all that. Son of a secret agent who died when he was young and he's been largely on his own since. School? Normal social situations? Only encountered during undercover missions. His life so far has mostly been missions and training for missions.
Plans: Time to get Heero settled in! Beyond that... yeah, no major plans at the moment.
Will probably try to do his cleaning duties by himself. Would be a pity if someone spoiled that plan, wouldn't it?
CR wanted: Anything really. I'm open.

I can't foresee anything off hand I'd have an issue with in the whole early to the game phase. IDK

Character: Rapunzel
About them: Coming back on the train with Pascal and still on Team Carrot. She is an easily excitable but caring girl who has lived a life of isolation. Has so many hobbies with her favourite being art.
Plans: Just at the moment having her be excited because ART CARRIAGE DOES EXIST! It's not a figment of her imagination. Also she might want to be given information about what happened since she left since she would be a bit confused. Then goals of trying her best to help out.
CR wanted: All the friendships be they old or new. I also would like her to at least crush on someone even if one sided. I am all for awkward one sided stuff, but if it went both ways that's cool too, but friendship is top priority. She deserves all the friends.
Things to avoid: N/A

Character: Allen Walker [CRAU]
About them: A former exorcist turned world traveller who just wants to help everyone and if possible to avoid killing if anything. Has a very tragic backstory but still takes everything with a smile on his face and a ability to keep going forward regardless of what the world throws at him. Prone to stupidity... Alice can attest that.
Plans: I don't have anything really planned for Allen, he seems to be reaching a nice and healthy conclusion overall. He is being much more open about himself and he is definitely a lot more happier because of it.

At best I can think of him maybe putting on a little show because everything happens but unsure. Also still surprised he hasn't died honestly. It's a damn miracle.
CR wanted: He can use more friends or people to call him out. People he can bond with on various levels.

Character: Kairi
About them: Keyblade wielder who is also a Princess of Heart. She is someone who wants to do her best and be able to fight alongside those she loves. In Void she has developed her own skills own way of fighting to achieve just that. Also is able to summon fruit and fruit based desserts.
Plans: Kairi is brining back the Paopu's which is a thing in her world and has to do with bonds and connections forever should two people eat them. She is planning on offering some to people as well as share one with her girlfriend so that no matter if they are together or apart they will always find one another in her mind.
CR wanted: Senpais funnily enough. People to teach her things. Also more friends as always.
Things to avoid: N/A

Character: Yugi Mutou
About them: Kind and compassionate gamer who believes in the heart of the cards and has a major love for all things games. He is willing to do anything to help a friend even if it means he gets hurt instead.
Plans: He doesn't have plans really, for the most part apart from showing off perhaps what skills he has learned over his time in the train and maybe finding out what his purpose is on said train which he has wondered for a while now.
CR wanted: Could always do with more CR honestly, Yugi I seem to struggle with for some reason...
Things to avoid: Romance since he is of course married.

About them: He's an alien with memories of his past lives. He fights for justice in the universe and tries to redeem them and in general is an empathic being trying to help anyone who wants to use him as their therapist.

Character: Seto Kaiba
About them: Former big gaming-tech CEO and angry card game rival turned world-saver. Over the past year on the train, Kaiba's gone from an incredibly bitter and isolated young man, to opening his heart and gaining a family, to losing most of them and becoming bitter again...but he's turning back to optimism. And he's more determined than ever to end this.
Plans: Working at all hours to try to save his still-missing family and friends, a few last-minute inventions, helping Yugi develop a big game project. Maybe sleep and eat sometime.
CR wanted: More allies! I'm going to aim at making sure the new and returning characters get filled in and find their place.
Things to avoid: He's married, so no romance please.

Character: Jake Peralta
About them: A pop-culture obsessed and goofy NYPD detective, his heart's usually in the right place and he has the occasional glimmering nugget of genius. He's largely put his effort toward assisting others with more relevant skills.
Plans: Checking up on people, maybe putting in more hours to learn some skills so he can be more useful in the final battles. Definitely working on first aid response. And maybe he can make some new friends too.
CR wanted: Any/all! Especially anyone who can teach him the ropes of a skill that'll be useful. He wants to learn and help! He's also good at trying to get peoples' spirits up if that's needed.
Things to avoid: Just romance, he's very devoted to Amy and it's too late in the game to start another path.

About them: Whale wizard and returning Voidtrecker. This is the second game I've dropped and re-apped her, so she's starting to develop a complex.
Plans: Catching up on what everyone has learned while she was gone. Also touched that she's remembered enough to get a plaque on the pool car. Also a pool car.
CR wanted: Connections, fellow people to complain about the human-centric design of the train, people trying to include her on things she's not tried.
Things to avoid: She is a whale, which puts romance off the table for most other characters, even if she didn't have a fellow back home.

Character: Zelgadis Greywords
About them: Formerly a chimera, and currently a sorcerer-swordsman who is ready to go home.
Plans: Zelgadis is realizing that he's been metaphorically spinning his wheels because he has No Idea what he wants to do with his life after he leaves the train because he actually accomplished a major goal, and most of the people he considered mentors on the train have left. Also, Rezo asking for how he transformed back is burning a hole in the back of his head, because he needs to figure out if he is willing to trust Rezo, or condemn his alternate-universe counterpart to a fate he avoided.
CR wanted: Someone who can help Zelgadis get a kick in the pants when it comes to character development, rather than stagnate.
Things to avoid: Can't think of anything.

Character: Thomas Price
About them: Raised by a paramilitary organization trying to eradicate all unnatural life. Went rogue, sacrificed his freedom to save his then-future-wife's life, married, had two kids, got teleported across universes to a post-apocalyptic waste where he became a sorcerer warlord out of a pulp novel, and now he's on a train.
Plans: Thomas is focused on what he can do for his people back home, given the technology for Void travel would essentially mean turning people into ghosts (which, ghosts are fine, but it is an irreversible process). At least he'd like to get a message to his original world, in hopes his kids would like to know he's still alive.
CR wanted: More people to nerd it up with. He's also open to taking in any kids who might need An Adult.
Things to avoid: Thomas refuses to date anyone until he's sure his wife is dead.

Character: Haneul Min
About them: Another returnee. Former dance student (and human, albeit a spiritually gifted one) who was kidnapped and used in an illicit experiment that left him permanently fused to a captive spirit and no longer remotely human... and also on the run from his captors. Still adjusting to all of this. He's back on Team Orange.
Plans: He's going to remember being here before, and be very weirded out by that. But hey, there's a dance studio now! He doesn't have to use the training car for that anymore. So he's likely going to be spending the month readjusting, learning what he's missed, and maybe cursing the existence of broccoli.
CR wanted: He'll be glad to see people he recognizes (while also wondering if he should be glad they're still here), but meeting new people is also good.

Character: Ryou Bakura
About them: A TTRPG and occult fan, Ryou used to own the Millennium Ring, a literal Cursed Egyptian Artefact that housed an evil spirit who would possess him off and on. He's free of the Ring (and by extension the spirit of the Ring) now, but the nature of his canon point and how being voidnapped works means he's got no way to return home.
Despite everything, Ryou is an incredibly kind young man who wants the best for his friends, and would do anything for them.
Plans: Ryou really wants to help, but isn't sure how to a lot of the time since he's a normal human, so he'll probably be working on that.
CR wanted: Anyone! He'd be especially delighted to find anyone else who's into TTRPGs, since you need a group for that and he's starting to look at wanting to get back into that. (Likely won't happen before endgame of course, but it is something he's into.)
Things to avoid: N/A

Does Ryou want Yugi to try and come up with ideas for Ryou into how he can help? Yugi has had the same issue previously.

That would be great! He really wants to help, so he's open to suggestions on how.

Character: Masumi Sera
About them: A high school detective, Masumi is the type to care deeply for her friends and family, and will do anything for those she cares about. She's been on this train for a whole IC year now, and while she wants to help the train find the missing crew, she's also missing home dearly.
Plans: Continued efforts to help the train and the crew with the upcoming plot stuff however she can. The pool she threw all her votes into also is finally getting added, so she'll be delighted about that.
CR wanted: Anyone!

Character: Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir (CRAU)
About them: Adrien is a formerly homeschooled rich boy with an extremely overprotective and controlling father, and a disappeared mother. He's also a supermodel and the image of perfection (and of course he's full of Anxiety about it.) He's also Chat Noir, black cat superhero full of puns and also can destroy anything with a touch. He's extremely kind, extremely brave, and here to make friends.

He's also from TheWake (the same place as Spark, Clef, Shadow, and Leia.) He spent three years there along with his father, so he's gone through some development such as realizing his home situation was terrible and also how much responsibility Sucks, but you gotta do it anyway. He's also got Bending because destructo touch wasn't enough of a power for him. (At least he's bad at it.)

Plans: Spark is gonna have his adopted brother, darn it. Otherwise here to help save people and make friends.

CR wanted: Adopt him. I am always down for this boy being adopted, he is always touched when it happens, and also a disaster about it.

Someone he can snark at would just be funny. He never wants to really hurt feelings, but sometimes you want to Sass.

Friendship is always a win for him.
