IC Month

This month is the month of Quicksand. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light."

This means: Any thread where you tag new CR will earn you two bonus points in March and April.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during April AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.

The ingredient of the month is Pineapple. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train

As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!

The following changes have been voted on this month:

~ The cinema now has allows characters to watch documentaries. It is an eclectic mix of subjects from sports to history of random worlds to 'how it works' series.

~ Each new character will now arrive with a basic first aid kit- the contents are adjusted for species. It also includes some basic painkillers suited to the character as well as any medication that character requires. Old characters will also be receiving the same and regular refills will arrive just like with the wash kits.

~ There is now a selection of meat in the stores including venison, chicken, turkey, bacon, turkey bacon and cod. These will be refreshed each month.

All this has been updated on the recipe, cinema and gameplay pages.

Important Dates

This month’s mission will run from the 13th to 26th of March.

The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th March and AC from the 23rd to the 30th March.

Other Info

~ As can probably be guessed, we are at a part in the plot where the stakes are ramping up quite a bit. We are nearing the end of 'chapter four' of the game which will come to a climax in April. We will make sure that there is time after April for characters to catch their breath and recoup but its going to be a bumpy couple of months (for the characters not for you players, hopefully you guys are going to have a blast...)

~ The roster has been updated with points for this month.

~ A reminder about the VOTING POOL. Exactly how it works is explained in detail on that page but it is a way for passengers to band together to buy larger or longer term items, including carriages themselves. Everyone gets 5 votes to start and new characters will be allowed to swap their initial 3 points for a vote if wish in their first month only.

~ From next month the voting pool will close for votes at the same time as AC closes and re-open when the platform post goes up. This is to give the mods some leeway in getting new changes up in time for the info post. So make sure to get those votes in in good time!

~ We have been trying to do EMP regularly- please let us know any cast mates you would like in the thread below!

Allen Walker | D.Gray-Man

Character: Allen Walker [CRAU]
About them: A former exorcist who has been to way to many worlds to count at this point having been to two games (Both of which had more than one setting so he's very much use to the travelling to worlds life). Adaptable but a little bit prone to rather taking care of others than taking care of himself. He is trying to do better in that area though, but this month will be a lot harder.
Plans:
Allen came out of the event in a very much bad place. Probably the worst out of all the characters I play. Reason being quite complicated and connected to his situation that he was in. Mostly involving possession and being told that once one fully takes over you can go bye bye.

Aka Allen thinks that is exactly what has happened and why he couldn't get back to the world he was on. So... bad place and because of it Allen has started to try and wonder just what his purpose will be now. In his mind he can no longer go home because he cannot or may not be able to take back control. So he might be going to be in a more negative state because of it. Questioning things and such.

What makes this worse is Allen's abilities he got from that other world which is Bad Luck. When he is in a mood or not in control of them can affect either himself, objects around him without meaning to or others themselves. Because of the negative mood this is more likely to affect more than himself, so if you want your character to have a case of bad luck even if minor then let me know. It can go as bad as you want it to.
CR wanted: More friends to help him figure out his next steps or try and give him a bit more hope that maybe the thoughts he has might not be the case, but that will take a lot.
Things to avoid: N/A

Esteban would love to help but he is, how to say.... CLUMSY with words and thoughts. He does want to get closer to Allen though; he has lots of fun with him around, but he always feels like he's just kind of prattling way over Allen's head, oops ^__^;;

I'd like to actually plot out something that could maybe work better on Allen's side of things rather than Esteban taking him by the hand and dragging him off to who-knows-where-he-is-going?

To be fair a lot can go over Allen's head easily.

But I am down for any and all kind of plotting.

Hmmmmmm.

From what I gather, Allen is likely to be in the training gym? I'd suggest something to do with video games, but that's probably going to end up with Esteban taking the full space again. Ideally, maybe starting a scene where Allen is focused on something? And then Esteban can get enthusiastic about trying to do the same or trying to help Allen. (Rather than Esteban being the one dragging Allen along with him)

One thing also is that Allen's bad luck can absolutely influence Esteban and he won't mind it; won't even consider it as a bad thing. He does tend to see silver linings on every grey clouds and might say something about him being lucky to have met Allen regardless.

These are very rough drafts, but I think with a bit more refining something could work out? Lemme know~

He spends pretty much most of the time in there (When not in the dining carriage/kitchen because he loves food). Mostly for one of three reasons:

1) General training be it sword or hand to hand
2) Practicing performances (He has some juggling balls so now and again he likes to pratice)
3) Pokemon time. He has like five of them now. They need to train and such to.

The most likely thing that would work is the juggling, Allen can get easily focused and really into it.

Yep! Sounds like juggling is going to be the easiest angle to approach. I should be making a platform TL tomorrow (I wanted to make one today, but my brain has Not Been Cooperating for the last few >__<).

If there's any Bad Luck shenanigans you want to pull off, feel free to do it; short of Esteban dying, I wouldn't mind him having a bit of trouble when around Allen~

Help is useful. Especially from someone who doesn't know. Mostly because seeing things from another perspective might help.

Kairi | Kingdom Hearts

Character: Kairi
About them: A princess of heart and a keyblade wielder who can be determined, kind and passionate with the want to help others and figuring herself out in terms of her own style and what she wants to do.
Plans:
I don't exactly have much in terms of plans for Kairi, she is probably at the best place in her life while she still tries to navigate through things. Sure she never got to go home and do what she needed to, but she knows that she will get there eventually.

But her plans right now are to provide train with fruits that were requested. All of the fruits. Also her trying to think about Paopu Fruit again.
CR wanted: Any and all. Kairi loves to have friends.
Things to avoid: Romance due to the fact Kairi is a very loyal person.

Yugi Mutou | Yu-Gi-Oh!

Character: Yugi Mutou
About them: Former King of Games who sees the good in people and tries to do his best to keep being confident and a good friend to all he befriends. The downside to that means he can be very sacrificial and putting others before himself so very much prone to wanting to focus on others and their problems than actually talking about and dealing with his own.
Plans:
Next to Allen Yugi is the next one who is dealing with things from the event. Mostly discovering what has happened in the nearly one plus years he was gone for and that was not exactly great. So Yugi is dealing with that while also trying to focus on making his game and practicing his creating abilities, which he is slowly getting better at. He can at least create stuff that isn't fully deformed right now.

One step closer towards being able to summon plush Kuribohs as shields.

Overall Yugi is just dealing with things in probably not the best of ways because his focus is more on others than himself. Basically this won't necessarily end well if he keeps it up.
CR wanted: Yugi does need more friends or people who might have an understanding of Yugi's abilities.
Things to avoid: Romance due to the fact he is a married man.

Fai D. Flourite | Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles

Character: Fai D. Flourite
About them: A happy go lucky who has been through some stuff in his canon, but he got better. He's also a vampire thanks to a friend.
Plans:
I don't really have plans for Fai, but I do need to actually do something with him. He would most likely be more of a person whose willing to teach or mother someone.
CR wanted: He needs to actually make friends here. Would be nice.
Things to avoid: N/A
