Lost inside (TW: Confusion, irritability, and other symptoms due to dehydration)
[Sakura came to awareness with a pain-filled groan. She felt like shit. She had cramps all over and felt weak, barely able to move. Closing her eyes in annoyance, she tried to calm her rapid heartbeat and swallowed. Or she tried to.
Her throat felt so dry...Why was it so dry? Letting out a small moan of discomfort, she opened her eyes and slowly turned her head to see where she was.
Expecting the sight of anything familiar, she frowned tiredly at the strange environment she was in. This wasn't Konoha...Or even anywhere outside. Was she inside some building? Looking around for her teammates, she frowned in confusion when she didn't see them.
Where was her team? Kakashi-sensei...Naruto...and Sasuke-kun...Wait! Naruto and Sasuke! Where were they?!
Jolting to attention, she tried pushing herself up to look around in alarm. Shaking, it took her several tries before she could look around, crying weakly for her teammates.]
N-N-Naruto! Sas-Sasu-Sasuke-kun! Where are you?!
[Panic rose like a tidal wave as she looked around desperately for them. Where were they?! They couldn't have left without her! No! Not again! I just got them back!
Standing up on shaking legs, she feverishly searched for her teammates as she shivered intensely. She was so cold! Why? What was going on?! There was something in the back of her mind that was trying to tell her something but she was panicking too much to care.
Staggering around as she looked for them in the cars, she froze when she noticed someone watching her. Turning slowly to meet the others' eyes, she frowned and opened her mouth to ask before her suspicion shook her core. Maybe she was captured by enemies! Maybe the others were captured as well!
Glaring at the strangers, she staggered dangerously towards them, her eyes unfocused yet filled with dark intent.]
Where are my teammates?! Where...WHERE HAVE YOU TAKEN ME?!
Shattered (TW: Memories of deaths, war times, survivor's guilt and self-hate)
[After getting some liquids and rest in her, she was starting to feel better. She was still weak but she could think clearly now. The more her mind cleared, the more her memories returned. Specifically the memories of her death and the events leading to it.
Naruto...Sasuke...they were gone. This time for good. She couldn't free them from that seal even if she wanted to. And that was if they had even survived being sealed with that monster.
Tears started to drip down her face as everything she had been through these last couple of weeks collided with her. All of the death, all the pain...Her hands bloody from all the failed procedures, the screams of the dying, her friend's dads' deaths...What was it all for?
She had lost them again...Naruto and Sasuke. Her dreams of bringing them back home were fading as reality stared her down. She was never going to see them again. Naruto, Sasuke-kun, Kakashi-sensei...her friends, Shizune-senpai, Shishou...Ino.
I'm sorry Ino. ...Looks like I failed again. Still as useless as before it seems...heh. Why...Why did you ever believe in me? Why...Why did they save me?
The memories of her boys' faces as they pushed her away from Kaguya, sad yet determined filled her head. Of their genin times, all the times they had protected her. Their fight when she found out they had joined the Akatsuki...
Kakashi-sensei's warm embrace as he desperately held her after her nearly fatal mission...That same man, prioritizing her survival as they struggled through that desert...His cold hands slack as she desperately tried to wake him.
Her first kiss with Ino...the teasing of their friends as she blushed furiously. Shizune's kindness as she struggled with Tsunade's teachings. Tears ran down her cheeks as she remembered everything. Curling into herself, she stared unseeing at the ceiling of the car as she silently cried for all she has lost.]
Is it too late to apologize?
[A couple days after her arrival, Sakura decided to try out the network. She was quite new with technology like this, having only seen such advanced technology in desperate times. Still, she had some apologies to do...So weird technology it is.
A message for everyone starts with hoarse coughing before a raspy deep breath and quiet, hesitant voice breaks the silence.]
Hello everyone...This is Haruno Sakura. When I arrived a few days ago, I was...out of control and disoriented. I apologize for any discomfort I caused anyone while I was in this state. I am still recovering but I hope to be of help once I recover. I specialize in physical injuries but there may be things I can do with mental health.
If you're wondering why I'm doing this voice call instead of contacting the people I bothered...the details from that time are fuzzy for me. The fever and dehydration did wonders for my awareness. Thank you for your time.
Moondust
[After a couple days of recovering from dehydration, she was feeling better. She felt strong enough to walk around and talk to the others here. There was quite a collection of strange people here. She just hoped they wouldn't turn out like her loved ones.
Interacting with strangers was hard for her to do, still feeling the hole in her heart from the loss of her loved ones. But she had promised those same people to try and live her life. With or without them...
After many hours of social interaction, she had decided to retreat to a secluded area of one of the carriages. She sat there staring at the windows with her knees up to her chest. Her head rested on her knees as she stared at the sights past the glass.
Completely still, she only moves to open her mouth when someone approaches.]
...Do you think we'll see them again? Our loved ones? Or are we destined to never see them again...
