January Information and CR Meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Poi. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your own path".
This means: Any thread where you tag into another character's post or top level in January or February will earn you two bonus points.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.
The ingredient of the month is Corned Beef. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!
Important Dates
This month’s event will be an mission from the 15th to 28th of January.
The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th. AC is between the 23rd and the 30th.

Other Info
~ The roster has been updated with points for this month.
~ When at the shop terminal the Voidtreckers will find a button in the corner that reads 'VOTING'. Selecting this will switch the page over from the shop to VOTING POOL. Exactly how it works is explained in detail on that page but it is a way for passengers to band together to buy larger or longer term items, including carriages themselves.
Every IC month (every two OOC months) characters will earn 5 votes which they can use to vote on additions to the train. If they wish they can spend points on additional votes (one vote is five points.) From February new characters will be allowed to swap their initial 3 points for a vote if wish in their first month only. To keep things fair everyone in game from 1st January and the launch of the voting pool will start with 6 votes.
Characters can also submit things for the voting pool. Everything is subject to mod approval before it is allowed to be voted on. Anything that reaches its vote goal will be fulfilled at the next station stop just like purchases from the shop.

About them: From Hades, Red Team, Death Incarnate who is actually a nice guy (but also tsundere and emotionally confused) but is still learning how to be his own person instead of just his job as God of Gentle Death and more. )
He's been here since the start of Jelly and carries around a plush mouse (Mort) who squeaks and
wants to FITEis now able to move on his own. Than can often be found in the quiet car, giving himself a break from feeling ill and overwhelmed by all the sensations he feels on the surface (vs the Underworld). He'll also be found in the greenhouse car, enjoying the green life there.Plans: He's going to try to keep the people on this train alive and has no problem sending healers after reckless people or those endangering themselves over the whole tether situation. Yes, Death Incarnate wants you to live, damn it! (Maybe also finally smooch his not!boyfriend???)
CR wanted: Open to a lot of CR ideas. He's one of the point people and healers for the Red Team. He also helps out with Red inventory things... maybe he can actually help more now that he's doing well. Thanatos trusts the Ministry because he there is a chance he can help his world, and he's working on giving them info that might help their situation. Things could be done with that.
Things to avoid: Do not try to restrain him, especially by grabbing his wrists or shoving him into a small space. Thanks, Sisyphus. You took a perfectly good death godling, gave him a month shackled in a box, and now he has trauma and a lot of insecurities. (And it's gotten worse since being on the train...)
Other: Than also has a permissions post for characters who have connections to death (though more for potential thread/CR ideas as Than has given up trying to understand this train) and also for Hades game spoilers if that's something you're worried about. He's taken from after the 1st win, all nectar given, favor completed, but no ambrosia. Although, Zagreus has given him 4 ambrosia on the train, so....
