January Information and CR Meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Poi. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your own path".
This means: Any thread where you tag into another character's post or top level in January or February will earn you two bonus points.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.
The ingredient of the month is Corned Beef. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!
Important Dates
This month’s event will be an mission from the 15th to 28th of January.
The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th. AC is between the 23rd and the 30th.

~ The roster has been updated with points for this month.
~ When at the shop terminal the Voidtreckers will find a button in the corner that reads 'VOTING'. Selecting this will switch the page over from the shop to VOTING POOL. Exactly how it works is explained in detail on that page but it is a way for passengers to band together to buy larger or longer term items, including carriages themselves.
Every IC month (every two OOC months) characters will earn 5 votes which they can use to vote on additions to the train. If they wish they can spend points on additional votes (one vote is five points.) From February new characters will be allowed to swap their initial 3 points for a vote if wish in their first month only. To keep things fair everyone in game from 1st January and the launch of the voting pool will start with 6 votes.
Characters can also submit things for the voting pool. Everything is subject to mod approval before it is allowed to be voted on. Anything that reaches its vote goal will be fulfilled at the next station stop just like purchases from the shop.

The Yubsie Bunch

Hera Syndulla
About them: Purple team, sleeper Upper 4D. She's rebel scum taken from about a year before the original trilogy kicks off. She's a talented pilot (not super relevant on a train but hey after Diagad she can fly without a vehicle), a pretty good tactician (actually relevant!) and fiercely protective of anyone she has decided is one of her people. She's Space Mom in a sea of dads on this train. :p
Plans: You know what Hera liked about this train? Thrawn wasn't on it. Too bad that changed. So she's going to be figuring out how to deal with that. SHe does not have time to have an existential crisis because too many of her kids are having one so she needs to deal with that.
CR wanted: Adopting younger characters is in her nature. Fortunately for youthful protagonists her parenting style is "If I bring the impulsive kid WITH me to do the dangerous thing I at least can see them. If I tell them not to do the thing they will do the thing where I can't help them if they get in trouble."
She could also use Grownup Friends.

About them: Sleeper Lower 2-D, Red team. Mordin is the very model of a scientist salarian. He's an old man who has regrets but is somewhat at peace with them because he's done what he can to set the mistakes of the past right. Yes, that's right, that's his canonpoint. He still loves science and wants to make things better, especially if he's the only one he's sure will do it right.

About them: Sleeper Upper 2, Red team. Will probably never do Red's actual mission. Death is a little ray of sunshine who loves you no matter what and will not judge. She's good at drawing people out and loves Disney movies. She doesn't sleep but knows mortals need that...
Plans: Depending on what they can learn about tethers, possibly judging the train a bit... She's a good person to have around in an existential crisis
CR wanted: Give me your difficult people, she'll draw them out. Give me your undead and your dead in canon people.
Things to avoid: ICly she won't like you much if you're a notably powerful being who meddles in mortal affairs but so far the train is the one at greatest risk of Time for Death's Opinion

Character: Molly Hayes
About them: Purple Team, Sleeper U3A. Molly is a twelve year old mutant whose parents turned out to be supervillains. She's generally wary of adults, especially adult authority figures, but she's very friendly with other kids.
Plans: Showing up on the train mostly...
CR wanted: Kids to be friends with her! I do also enjoy adult CR for her and it's always interesting seeing who manages to actually get through to her
Things to avoid: Be forewarned that adults who touch her without permission tend to go through walls. I'd say "Ask Wolverine" but he doesn't want to talk about it.
