We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Poi. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your own path".
This means: Any thread where you tag into another character's post or top level in January or February will earn you two bonus points.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.
The ingredient of the month is Corned Beef. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!
Important Dates
This month’s event will be an mission from the 15th to 28th of January.
The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th. AC is between the 23rd and the 30th.

~ The roster has been updated with points for this month.
~ When at the shop terminal the Voidtreckers will find a button in the corner that reads 'VOTING'. Selecting this will switch the page over from the shop to VOTING POOL. Exactly how it works is explained in detail on that page but it is a way for passengers to band together to buy larger or longer term items, including carriages themselves.
Every IC month (every two OOC months) characters will earn 5 votes which they can use to vote on additions to the train. If they wish they can spend points on additional votes (one vote is five points.) From February new characters will be allowed to swap their initial 3 points for a vote if wish in their first month only. To keep things fair everyone in game from 1st January and the launch of the voting pool will start with 6 votes.
Characters can also submit things for the voting pool. Everything is subject to mod approval before it is allowed to be voted on. Anything that reaches its vote goal will be fulfilled at the next station stop just like purchases from the shop.

Character: Ryo
About them: OC, Orange team, sleeper L2:B. Teenage mage and healer who's had a rough life and has only recently gained some self-esteem and started building that backbone. (His world took a perfectly good healer and gave him a tragic backstory and now he has anxiety.) Compassionate and caring with a buried temper. Good at helping; bad at asking for what he needs in turn. Sassy as hell once he starts getting comfortable around you. Please hug him.
Plans: Despite all the recent revelations, Ryo is actually having an okay time! He's recently discovered that his Diagad powers have changed to something Less Existentially Terrifying, he just came off a vacation, and he wants to bake again. Things aren't perfect, but he's doing okay. He's still planning to learn life magic from Vexen, he's going to do his damndest to help on the upcoming mission, and he's going to bribe people with muffins so they'll vote to have scaffolding in the garden car.
(In terms of the plot revelations, he's just...not thinking about it. He can't change the bigger picture, so he's focusing on what he can do.)
CR wanted: He is (still) in dire need of a parent or mentor figure. He had one, but she left, so he's a bit adrift in that department. Aside from that, just about anything! Be his friend or adoptive sibling, let him help you or heal you, teach him and be taught in turn, the works. He's figured out his Diagad powers, but he's still up for helping others with theirs, especially new healers. A warning, though: if CR starts out negative, it might not recover; he holds a grudge.
Things to avoid: ICly, nothing; OOCly, just don't go linking me pictures of spiders.

....Danny has decided that Ryo is scarier than the enemies he's met on missions, and is absolutely plotting how to avoid healers in future missions.

Ryo is going to start hunting down Danny at the ends of missions for a check-in, and if he can't find him, he's sending Thanatos to find him instead. He cares about Danny, and he's not about to allow him to be hurt for longer than necessary. :|
