January Information and CR Meme!
We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Poi. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your own path".
This means: Any thread where you tag into another character's post or top level in January or February will earn you two bonus points.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during February AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.
The ingredient of the month is Corned Beef. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!
Important Dates
This month’s event will be an mission from the 15th to 28th of January.
The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th. AC is between the 23rd and the 30th.

Other Info
~ The roster has been updated with points for this month.
~ When at the shop terminal the Voidtreckers will find a button in the corner that reads 'VOTING'. Selecting this will switch the page over from the shop to VOTING POOL. Exactly how it works is explained in detail on that page but it is a way for passengers to band together to buy larger or longer term items, including carriages themselves.
Every IC month (every two OOC months) characters will earn 5 votes which they can use to vote on additions to the train. If they wish they can spend points on additional votes (one vote is five points.) From February new characters will be allowed to swap their initial 3 points for a vote if wish in their first month only. To keep things fair everyone in game from 1st January and the launch of the voting pool will start with 6 votes.
Characters can also submit things for the voting pool. Everything is subject to mod approval before it is allowed to be voted on. Anything that reaches its vote goal will be fulfilled at the next station stop just like purchases from the shop.

Character: Bucky Barnes AKA Soldat
About them: Former brainwashed amnesiac assassin for HYDRA, who died after the split-second decision not to actually kill Steve Rogers and then spent a year and a half in a dead world where they slowly learned how to Person again. Soul/life force/whatever is in a lantern that they carry around all the time, which I sometimes forget to mention in narration, but it is Always There. They're on Purple team, but always swap for somebody on the kitchen chores so they can cook instead (hey Yondu, you wanna do laundry this month and let Soldat do your cooking? also taking other offers to swap :B ), and often do missions with Red team.
Plans: Mission month! Soldat is READY. They have been working hard to get their meal stocks back up to snuff to pass out before they all disembark. They're not really upset about the current revelations since they kinda knew a lot of it and don't have a particular attachment to their actual body-- they're dead, after all-- though they're kind of worried now about if Beacon (the setting of their last game) is still around, if their body is just lying there being fussed over. They'd like to get their tether to the train safer, but not at the risk of the train herself or any of the other passengers.
CR wanted: Soldat is good for teaching people self-defense, teaching people cooking, teaching people origami, teaching people dancing, teaching people languages... look, they like teaching things, okay. They need somebody to poke a little at their personhood issues (or I not I suppose, they're pretty comfortable with their "not really a person but that's okay, can still live a fulfilling life and help people" belief) and could always stand a friend.
Things to avoid: If you tell Soldat you have the power to control minds or take away memories and that you're willing and ready to use it, and there hasn't been a solid amount of CR built up first, Soldat will drop you. No questions asked.

But also offering him up for the personhood thing! While Aziraphale has different personal perspectives, being an angel an all, personhood is one of the topics in Good Omens imo, and Aziraphale's got an interesting bit about hopping between being An Angel(tm) or his own person. Plus, he likes Soldat, so he'd easily talk to them about deeper stuff.
