Hendrik wasn't going to let her fall and he let the lady hold onto him for as long as she needed to. The silence told him a lot and he really wished he had some better news. But he'd gone around and had asked several different people, wanting to find the exit to the world in order to get back to his duty to the Luminary as the boy's unfailing sword and shield.

"That is correct." The knight nodded to her question. He felt the weight against him and when she said she needed to sit down, he had to strain to grab one without letting go. Helping her to sit, Hendrik stood to his full height with a shake of his head.

"I must apologize that I am not the bearer of better tidings."
