We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.

IC Month

This month is the month of Nebula. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is "Make new friends, but don’t forget the old, One is silver, the other is gold.".

This means: Threading with the same character twice this month will earn you two bonus points. As a note it is possible to earn this more than once with the same character (if you thread with them four times, you will get the bonus twice) however we still expect people to mix and thread with a variety of people!

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during October AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.

The ingredient of the month is yadon (slowpoke) tail (a strange, tough, gamy meat). Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Purple: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Red: Meal Preparation
Orange: Laundry
Blue: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

Important Dates

This month’s event will run between 13th and the 19th of October. There will be a sign up portion of the event and information about that will go up in the next week.

The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 18th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th, AC is between the 23rd and 30th..

Other Info

~ You may have noticed our game board makeover! If anyone is struggling with any colours or sizing please come let us know. Same thing goes for the events and missions- we’ve been playing with layouts and styles and we know that ongoing initially was a bit hard to parse, apologies for that. We aren’t master html coders so letting us know any issues you have with style will help us get it right!

~ Our Gameplay and Setting pages have been given a revamp!

~ We have reformatted and rewritten the FAQ adding in questions that have been asked during the games run.

About them: From Yu-Gi-Oh. Former tech-head CEO and strategy game expert, he now tends to spend his days...looking after the gaming car, programming new games, repairing odds and ends, and being a grouch.
Plans: Apparently he's marrying Yugi??? He almost toppled over from shock at the proposal, funny story. Firm date will go out later this month. It'll be a small informal ceremony in a mostly out of the way spot, and everyone is welcome if they wish. But it's really, really not a big deal. Any help with some small, quick decorations and wardrobe would be great though.
CR wanted: More friends, as always. Gaming rivals are welcome---any game in the gaming car, take your pick. And he's always looking for mechanics to train, they seriously need more help.
Things to avoid: Nothing of note! He'll be...a little mopey on platform having lost another beloved person he'd hoped to see at his wedding, but he'll recover afterward.

Plans: Not much at the moment. She's still waiting for Kairi to say something about any possible relationship, but she does also want to keep an eye on Purple!Kyoko after that incident last mission.

Pre-train: Former slave to the Kree Empire turned Space Pirate Biker. Misses being a part of a super team and misses his son and happier times.

Current-train: Blue Team Lead along with his roommate. Upset after Purple!Kyoko nearly witched out on the last mission. One of his closest friends is going to go missing (probably actually his closest friend). So he'll be upset over that.
Plans:
-Had some good inspiration from What If? for things that I think make sense between universes.
-He might talk to Eva about getting a pokemon.
-He's fighting against his nightmares recently and having trouble getting around them.
-He's not super following the meta-plot but he still is very interested in learning more about voidcraft.
CR wanted: Talk to him and either it'll click or it won't. I'm also frequently down for comedy threads or funny moments. Ideally, I'd like him to admit to someone that he's scared if Soldat doesn't come back no one will be patient enough to see the real him and actually like what they see, but that'd probably have to be to a very good friend.
Things to avoid: Don't break or try to take over his arrow because that's very bad for him. Extended permissions under his profile.

Pre-Train: The Savior of the Human Race and the Zombie Messiah of his world, jailed for mail fraud and ended up experimented on. He can now mind-control zombies and people that he infects and has some psychic juju. He's also immune to any bacteria or virus he comes across and evolves after expelling it from his system.

Current-Train: Still wandering around, talking shit and looking fabulous. 'Cause that's what a Murphy do. I've been so lax on his roommates I just realized he's not talked to anyone, so he's probably been a dick and just went in, went to bed, and didn't say a word. Sorry for slacking off on that.
Plans:
-More necromancy and cultivation stuff
-Ghost was his best train bud so he's upset over losing him, but in a more dry, Murphy, "Well fuck you too, universe! I only had three friends and he was one of them!" way.
-I'd like for him to get cut at some point and have to do a panicked clean-up to try and get his blood up.
CR wanted: People to flirt with. People to snark at. Maybe one day someone to have a moment of zombie anger at, but that takes a specific sort of provoking.
Things to avoid: He doesn't like seeing people get singled out for being dangerous. Extended permissions here.

I really love Kitty and Yondu's CR! I'd love to do more with them, especially since he'll be upset about Soldat missing. She'll be upset too, but since Yondu was there to help her feel better about Peter, she'll want to be there for him too.

About them: Ancient Lad Trying To Save The World And Going About It Awkwardly. (No seriously, massive spoilers for the current main meta of FFXIV. He is old and powerful. Also an antagonist for the game's story so far.)

Plans: Quietly assessing the train. Is actively aiding fellow passengers and doing his part for missions and team chores/etc as well as offering training and guidance.

CR wanted: Strange awkward possible eventual friendships, negative CR is fine too as long as it makes sense. Pretty much any reasonable CR. If it might need some discussion, I'm always open for conversation! But I definitely like crossover and cast alike.

Things to avoid: Automatic leaps of logic because he's a villain in his canon. Too much force to make things work. Romantic relationships. I mean. You can try and stuff but it is not going to go anywhere.

About them: From Overwatch, Orange team, sleeper U3A. An astrophysicist who had an accidental close encounter with a black hole, gained gravity powers, and lost his mind. He was then picked up by a terrorist organization to be their shield tank, and look, recent life has been tough on gravity grandpa. That said, he's intelligent and kind and perpetually interested in learning and lending a helping hand to other people's projects. He's also protective of his teammates, especially in dangerous situations.

Plans: He still needs to do some work with his Diagad powers (power augmentation), so he'd be up for that. Mostly, it looks like it's going to be a rough platform for a lot of people, so he'll be doing his best to be a steady presence for everyone else. He'll also be attending his son's wedding :D

CR wanted: Anything! Fellow responsible adults, scientists, people to help, people to snark at and be snarked at in turn, the whole nine yards. Variety is the spice of life.

Things to avoid: I'm trying not to break him, because that's no fun for anybody - if a thread starts looking like it's going in that direction, I may ask for a change. Aside from that, nothing!

Character: Ryo
About them: OC, Orange team, sleeper L2B. Teenage mage and healer who's had a rough life and has only recently gained some self-esteem and started building that backbone. (His world took a perfectly good healer and gave him a tragic backstory and now he has anxiety.) Compassionate and caring with a buried temper. Good at helping; bad at asking for what he needs in turn. Please hug him.

Plans: BOY OH BOY did somebody ever get wrecked on this past mission. 8D Ryo has quite a bit of emotional upset he's trying to work through, so he's not going to be as open this time around, and he's going to be absolutely emotionally devastated at platform, so there's That. He's going to do his best to help people, but he definitely won't be up to his usual standard. Only plans right now are to try to get him back on something resembling an even keel. He also still hasn't figured out his Diagad death-powers yet, so if someone death-related wants to clue him in that he even has those, that would be great.

CR wanted: Anything and everything! Parent him, be his friend or adoptive sibling, let him help you or heal you, teach him and be taught in turn, the works. Help him with his weird new powers, and he'll help you with yours. (He'll definitely be keeping an eye out for new healers to help them out.) A warning, though: if CR starts out negative, it might not recover; he holds a grudge.

Things to avoid: ICly, nothing; OOCly, just don't go linking me pictures of spiders.

She's sweet and friendly, and generally out-going (except for this previous month for reasons), but maybe don't make her angry, because she can reach into your body.
Plans: No big plans for her, really. She's getting better from her sad period last month, so probably reconnecting with her friends and looking out for people who might need a friendly ear.

About them: A teen detective with a strong protective streak, would do pretty much anything for those she cares about. (Especially family.) Team Purple.
Plans: Sharon's leaving and Masumi...won't be sad to see her go, to be honest. Besides that, she has yet to discover her Diagad power was kept, so that's just waiting to be discovered. (Her power was the ability to calm others, with the caveat that she has to be calm to use it.)
She's also picked up a long term goal of trying to help the train find her missing original crew, so knowing Masumi, she'll probably have quite a bit of focus on that at any given opportunity to get more info.
CR wanted: Anyone? She's pretty easy to get along with. More specifically, maybe someone she can accidentally use her Diagad power on. (It's still very weak, so it would only be a second of calm.)

About them: Purple team! An Assassin-class Servant from Fate/Grand Order (although he will assert that his class is Manslayer), which means he's made of magic and super effective at murder. He's also known for being one of the Four Hitokiri of the Bakumatsu. He's also a part of the AU where the Detective Conan characters take the place of the main protagonists of FGO, so he is Doing His Best and trying to be helpful to a bunch of kids who are younger than him.

Plans: Thiiings? Like lmao not to be wildly non-specific but also work has eaten my time somewhat unexpectedly and with poor timing for the last couple of months so I'm mostly making up for that now so my plans are just to DO THINGS and also probably continue to put him in situations that will annoy him haha. Fortunately, he is not the type to be super involved or engaged with things without a reason so explaining what he's been up to (or not) for the last couple of events is pretty easy. Having seen his first mission now and the weird train announcement, he is at least a bit more invested in things than he was. But still generally confused about a lot.

He is also probably going to buy some booze on this train finally because he's not used to being sober as long he has been, so that will probably be a little messy?

CR wanted: ALL OF IT? Seriously lmao. As I said, I'm basically at square one with things and wanna do stuff and I'm not picky! Maybe shapeshifter type folks for Diagad power things? He can turn into a dog! He just doesn't know how to turn into a dog. He's not the easiest person to deal with, but it can be done and might involve goofs? I am also totally open to negative CR! If you wanna go that route and feel more comfortable hashing things out OOCly that's cool with me or you can do whatever I can roll with it!

Things to avoid: Izō basically has a trigger and it's feeling mocked/laughed at or generally talked down to. Doing that is an easy way to start off on the negative CR side of things with him. It's possible to turn it around but it's not going to be easy. He has a detailed permissions post here!

About them: Cabin U1A, Red Team (and sort of leader? He promised Lightning he'd take care of the team). A former yakuza enforcer turned city guardian, he's enjoying life on the train and is ijust trying to put together the semblance of a normal life.
Plans: No real plans other than figuring out his power, though he's going to be making the rounds and trying to get some more one on one time with red team members.
CR wanted: Friends! Enemies! Rivals! He's got a decent CR pool but could always use more, especially both people who are building an identity for the first time and people who can help him with that.
Things to avoid: No romance.

About them: Purple team, sleeper Upper 4D. She's rebel scum taken from about a year before the original trilogy kicks off. She's a talented pilot (not super relevant on a train but hey after Diagad she can fly without a vehicle), a pretty good tactician (actually relevant!) and fiercely protective of anyone she has decided is one of her people. She's Space Mom in a sea of dads on this train. :p

Plans: Exploring her slowly emerging flight powers. Teaching people the flight simulator. She'll be adding YT-1300 controls to the flight simulator at Leia's request so if anyone wants to fly th Millenium Falcon... she's going to be pretty sure the VCX is superior though. :P

Also she wants to know what's going on with all this old crew business

CR wanted: Adopting younger characters is in her nature. Fortunately for youthful protagonists her parenting style is "If I bring the impulsive kid WITH me to do the dangerous thing I at least can see them. If I tell them not to do the thing they will do the thing where I can't help them if they get in trouble."
She could also use Grownup Friends.

About them: Catboy from some MMO made by Square Enix who is more or less tasked with saving the world from whatever happens to be threatening it at any given time. Purple and assigned to Upper Cabin B1.
Plans: He's brand-new, so he's going to take a bit to get used to the train in general and meeting the people on it. Will probably stare out at the void at least once.
CR wanted: Friends! Maybe enemies, but it'll be pretty impressive if he manages to get on someone's bad side after just arriving.
Things to avoid: Please don't try to kill him, he has plenty of that back home.

CR wanted: New friends! Concerned adults! People to tell him about their spaceships back home! Training buddies, especially for supernatural stuff.

About them: An absolute nerd from a stupid power creep canon. Okay, but really, he's a dude with a horrible amnesia background that got turned into a spy at a young age and a medical ninja on top of that. Who then worked for a more horrid sciencey dude that encouraged Questionable Ethics Science.

And then Kabuto kind of went nutso after he died, put the remains into his bloodstream (I can't make this up) and started turning all snakey. Also likes corpses. And causing wars.

I don't know.
Plans: Just showing off his natural appearance a little more since dude's tired from the last mission and probably constantly in the medical carriage since he's probably not allowed to do Questionable Science.
CR wanted: Please make friends with him. Or force him to do something else that's not medical. Alternatively if you want sad, ask him about his childhood, I dare you.

Plans: Last month Zelgadis discovered Caleb could cast a spell that could turn Zel human again, something that has literally been a driving goal of his in canon. So Zelgadis is doing what he can for that (and to pay Caleb back in some way). Granted, once it happens... Zelgadis will be both facing a serious loss in powers he'd gotten used to and very much at loose ends, so he'll need to figure that out (and not get seriously injured on the way).
CR wanted: Zelgadis is starting to develop a social network on the train, but more is always appreciated, especially to drag him along on shenanigans.
Things to avoid: I can't really think of anything. He's in a good place, so I don't feel bad for negative CR.

Plans: Working at growing her plants, learning somehow that she has the ability to communicate with animals still, learning to use this new stove/kitchen technology stuff
CR wanted: All the CR. Please come play with Nell. She needs to learn how to be around more people again after five years basically alone and realize she doesn't have to try to be the good little church woman anymore if she doesn't want to be. Anything and everything.
Things to avoid: Nothing I can think of.

About them: Lan Wangji of the Untamed variety, with added spice of being immortal and still waiting for his Wei Wuxian to resurrect. Quiet, but kind and a very good swordsman, he is a teacher by day and a cultivator by night.
Plans: Maybe testing these powers people keep saying they got from a couple missions ago, plucking the stringed musical instruments from the last mission that the Sali gave them. Try not to break the technology.
CR wanted: Any and all, he's an old man but he needs friends. A few out there are great but get him out of his shell a little, please.
