more of a curiousity than anything i imagine will be plot-useful --

when it comes to the forever ones, it seems like there's been discussion of contacting them through some kind of power, be it magic or otherwise, BUT ... what if someone just offers a normal, non-powered prayer to one of the statues? would that Do anything / serve as a means to make contact?
