Welcome to Aquafir Holiday Park. The perfect place to relax, winner of the Void Holiday awards three seasons running. Please read the following information carefully as it should answer any questions you might have regarding your stay. Guests should wear their entrance bands at all times and keep their personal belongings with them.

Manor House

The centerpiece of our resort is our large manor house. From our welcoming reception area, our cafeteria serving hearty food to our spa and relaxation zone and casino. Our friendly staff will assist to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Accomadation

Our beautiful cabins can hold up to six guests though we recommend four for best comfort. Each cabin has a master bedroom with a double bed, a second room with twin beds and a living area with a kitchenette and eating area that can be folded into a second double bed. Each cabin has a bathroom as well as cooking and food storage facilities and a veranda for outside dining or relaxing in the evening.

Our Compound

Aquifir Holiday Park is located on an idyllic world with plenty of open space. Bicycles can be hired from reception for a suncoin per day. The manor house is your arrival point. Not so far away are the cabins, within walking distance of a playground suitable for guests with yellow or green bands, To the north are the additional eateries, shops and our entertainment hub. The swim palace, play hub and dance dungeon are to the south, to the east lies the forest and the west has a large hill that overlooks the site, perfect for picnics and stargazing. There are teleportation circles around the compound for those who prefer getting places quickly.

Forest

Our forests are large with plenty of trails for those that enjoy rambling or cycling. There is an adventure playground suitable for yellow banded guests, a woodland scramble course for our green banded and any adventurous black banded guests as well as our famous Jungle Jog- a real jungle experience in the heart of Aquafir.

For those who are looking for more relaxation there is a small lake, where fishing boats and equipment can be hired for a suncoin. There is also an art tent where lessons in natural art and crafts are held several times a day.

Swim Palace

The jewel of Aquafir, our swim palace has both indoor and outdoor pools and has won multiple Water Lover awards. It is easy to find as it is our largest building and for the moat that surrounds it.

Our outdoor pool is suitable for all with a large five lane slide and central water fountain. Water disco happens twice a day and is fun for all the family.

There are plenty of deck chairs and sun loungers for those who prefer being near rather than in the water and a small splash zone with tipping buckets, ankle depth pools and crazy fountains perfect for our yellow banded guests.

For the more adventurous there are our underwater caverns where guests can don a mask and sink into the depths

The moat leads from our outdoor pool to our main inside pool on the ground floor which hosts inflatables and a wave machine that is used throughout the day.

On the first floor there is our kid zone with a gentler pool with small slides and gentle waves for yellow banded guests and their caretakers. This floor also holds our training pool, a shallower pool for beginner swimmers. It is open to all those who feel less confident in the water.

Our second floor is our black band pool, a laned pool for those who want a serious swim.

The third floor holds our sports pool, please see the schedule for information- our games include water polo, water football, underwater hockey and flash. There are sessions for different bands as well as some mixed sessions for the whole family to enjoy.

Our fourth floor hosts a variety of slides, all land in special landing zones in the basement. Go spin happy or try our terrifying drop slides! With ten slides to choose from this is a firm favourite of adrenaline junkies everywhere

Our final floor is our quiet pool. Guests of all ages are welcome here but those breaking the peace will be asked to move to another floor. This is a tranquil pool surrounded by glass walls and ceilings, this floor remains open after hours for night time swimming under the stars.

Play Hub

Made of four zones. Our Yellow zone is perfect for yellow banded guests with a large soft play area, multiple slides and giant ball pools. Your little ones will get lost for hours in this large indoor playground that encourages risk taking and adventure in a safe, soft environment.

Our green zone also has a ball pit, a couple of death drop slides, an obstacle course over a foam pit, trampolines and a chill out zone with video games.

Our black zone also hosts a ball pit because who doesn't love ball pits? It also has trampolines, an exercise studio and some video game terminals.

Our final zone is our mixed zone which has a vast array of arcade style games for everyone to enjoy.

Dance Dungeon

The ultimate dungeon crawler. Come to our central ballroom where you can learn new dances and get warmed up before grabbing a headset and a team (though the brave can travel solo) and head through our dungeon. Fight monsters, discover secret passageways and disarm traps all through the power of dance! Level up, be ready for new songs to drop and keep on dancing all the way to the final boss. With hundreds of story lines to choose from Dance Dungeon can be played time and time again!

New for this season! Join us in the gladitorial ring where you can go head to head in the ultimae dance battle and be crowned champion!

Cost is a suncoin per dungeon or one for the gladitorial matches or five coins for an entire day unlimited access. It is recommended that yellow banded guests are accompanied by responsible caretakers whilst in dance dungeon.

Shopping

We sell everything you may need for your stay here from swim gear, kites and sunhats to souvenirs to take away with you. Everything costs a suncoin and our open fronted shops aim to give you the best shopping experience.

Spa

When the adventure gets too much feel free to return to the main manor house for some well earned pampering. Massage beds, manicure and pedicure services, facials; mudbaths, saunas, and tanning salons, and even ice and lava baths. Please speak to staff members to tailor a perfect visit- our staff are trained in caring for many species.

A space to be together

Also situated in the manor house are our award winning intimacy rooms, from quiet hubs for families or friends to spend time away from the crowds and bustle to our black-band only hired rooms for more private encounters please enquire at reception about the range of rooms availible.

Evening Entertainment

Main Stage

Once the sun goes down our main stage is where the party is! We kick off with a mini!disco led by our play team before our main entertainment of the night. The night ends with an all-invited disco complete with karaoke. Dance and sing under the stars to your hearts content.

Nightclub

Down the stairs to the left of the main stage takes you to our large underground nightclub. Black band entry only enjoy music and drinks until the early hours.

Green Hub

New this season specially for our green banded guests, a teen nightclub selling soft drinks and manned by our discreet chaperones.

Bingo Hall and Casino
Situated in the west wing of the manor house our casino hall is perfect for guests who would prefer a different kind of entertainment. Open for black banded guests only. A suncoin will get you a bag of chips to play and chips can be traded back for suncoin or an array of prizes. Games include everything from slots machines to eight handed firecard and our hosts are always available to get guests started.

Our bingo hall likewise offers a more sedate experience. A suncoin per ticket there is a vast array of prizes to be won. Open to everyone though we recommend yellow banded guests are supervised by a responsible caretaker.

Food and Drink

Aquifir has plenty of options for those who love their food.

Cafeteria Included in your stay is access to our cafeteria where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served every day. Our menus are carefully chosen to represent the many different worlds and cultures of our guests. There will be four options for each meal and a selection of both hot and cold drinks to chose from.

Self Catering packs For those who prefer to cook there are food packages that can be picked up each day at reception. These have the basics to prepare simple but filling meals for our guests to enjoy.

For those that want more options there is more to be purchased.

Self Catering

Set Meals For the cost of a suncoin there are meal kits for more elaborate evening meals. Must be booked in the morning for use that evening, there are hundreds of meals to choose from and a menu is available at the main reception. Boxes can be booked for one, two, four or six people.

BBQ Boxes

We have many BBQ points around the site and a BBQ box contains everything needed to have the perfect meal. Meat, side dishes and equipment, just take your box to the nearest free BBQ pitch and light up! BBQ boxes can be purchased for two, four, eight or twelve people and cost one suncoin.

Picnic Hamper

Perfect for lunch time, grab one of our picnic hampers and set off into the woods or up on the hill to have a relaxing meal. Filled with goodies and a bottle of wine (black banded guests only) or juice otherwise, picnic hampers can be bought for two, four or six people for one suncoin.

Eateries

Roasting Pit

One for the meat lovers. One suncoin buys you an hour by the fire where you may eat as much meat as you wish, with freshly roasted hogs, birds and twith, you will not walk away hungry. Our large campfire setting makes it a great communal eating experience and good company is almost as guaranteed as good food.

Pizza Palace

Choose your size, choose your sauce and go wild with a buffet of toppings to choose from. Hand it over to be cooked in one of our stone ovens and tuck in! For those with a sweet tooth, be sure to try out our sweet pizza range for dessert. One suncoin per pizza!

Sweet Tavern

The ultimate place for desert! Found in the central courtyard of our Play Hub. From milk shakes to cake to candy floss or sugar icicles. Here is the place where sweet dreams come true. Everything costs one suncoin.

High Dining

The ultimate dining experience. For the cost of a suncoin per person our cable car takes guests on a two hour journey around our whole compound. Guests dine in our glass bubble cars that offer a beautiful view of the surroundings or a majestic view of the night sky.

Choose your menu before you set off in our luxury lounge and then step on board with drinks and take in the sights. The cable car stops for starter, main and desert to be served. Perfect for a romantic evening or just a fun day out with friends.

Stage Bar

Our stage bar is open in the evenings to sell a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. We sell a vast array of cocktails (and mocktails for our yellow and green guests) as well as snacks to keep you well fuelled as you dance the night away.

OOC Notes:

~ Characters will be at Aquafir from the morning of Merriment 22 to the evening of M24 (August 12th- August 17th). An event post will go up on the 12th August. The train will arrive in a docking station and passengers who don't wish to leave the train will not be forced to.

~ The world is warm but pleasantly so.. There are few clouds in the sky and the sun is large and very orange. At night there are three moons and many stars to be seen. The world is pretty small, it's more a large rock in space rather than an entire world and the compound takes up the whole place but it is perfectly safe and for those who remember it will remind them a little of the Winter Faire. Even those who can fly will not be able to leave the compound of Aquafir.

~ They are housed with their train roommates in a cabin. They don't get reset to their beds so sleeping over at each other's cabins is perfectly alright. Their SCA's will allow them into their rooms.

~ The dressing carriage will be open beforehand with suitable outfits and swim wear.

~ Each passenger has 30 suncoins for their duration. You don't have to report how many you have used etc, just keep in mind the limitation!

~ Bands are given out by age on the passenger roster. Only those with black armbands can buy alcohol but there aren't too many checks on who is drinking it. It's possible for those who are actually adults but have age shenanigans happening to drink if they can persuade a friend to buy it for them.

~ Black bands are for characters who are 18+, Green bands are for teens and Yellow bands are for characters aged twelve and under.

~ The resort has many alien species so those voidtreckers who are not human will fit in just fine.

~ Passengers will find that once their arm band is on, it will not come off until they leave Aquafir. They will be asked to keep their SCA's on as well though for those that take it off - nothing untoward will happen to them but they will be approached by staff members who will lecture them on the importance of wearing their SCA at all times when off their voidcraft.

Okay so what, if any, limits exist on flying around? Beyond the fact you can't get "out" of the compound, is there an upper limit/doming effect, or just normal atmosphere isn't contained beyond a certain level so nature takes its course in limiting where you go?

Also, does the lake have any underwater caves or features, or only the outside constructed pool?

Thirdly, are things purchased at the resort able to be brought back on board? Asking at the resort, is there any purpose in not spending all your suncoins. Asking the train, "Hey should be just spend it all, train," staring at the ICP like feedback's going to give an answer, lmf.

- Flying: The dome reaches fairly high, beyond the clouds, so imagine it reaching around the ozone layer.

- Lake: No secret hideaways in the lakes! You might find trash down there though.

- Purchases: Purchases can be made, and we can discuss and bring up a list of items before the log goes up. There isn't any reason not to spend them, as they can't be converted into anything. They're solely for the park.

Jingyi is going to spend a lot of his time flying since this is the most free not-fish laden air he's had where a world is also not collapsing! Meaning he's happy to take along any passengers who want it, or to ferry people around as an excuse to just. Fly more with a "reason" for it. Anyone else who flies is likewise welcome to join him, he's missing having, you know, other dragons around. Quite a lot.

He's also sleeping under the stars and is a ready and willing out in the forest fringes in a ... meadow watching the stars slumber party buddy. He will stay dragon overnight, as it's also his way of watching out for anyone who joins him, and he's... a dumb dragon who will be lonely without under-the-stars sleeping friends who're using him for warmth. Who misses roughing it? No one's supposed to miss roughing it. (He misses roughing it a bit.)

Likewise anyone who knows him, or doesn't know him, but wants a friend along with their antics, he's easy to persuade into trying just about anything once. He's also the guy to shoulder tap for alcohol if you're in a weird age quandary, pending you also don't look under twelve. Then he might deadeye and ask if really? Really.

PLOTTING WITH USAGI!

Typically I restrict plotting to Plurk and the like, but given the set up of this event, we're changing it up for this round!

Largely because Emporio, Potato, and Kiyoiri are ALL Yellow-Band attendees! This means that for certain activities allowed to them, they'll be needing a ~Suitable Guardian~*

*Suitable sadly just means a black band, and has no standing on how mature the band-bearer is, as two of the three will likely find

Kiyoiri in particular will be looking for people to stand in for this quite a lot, as after explaining to Staff the issues with her physical vs chronological age, she'll be offered the chance to list Green activities she'd like to try, and be given a pass to participate in some of them...Provided of course, that she has said guardian with her (which is handily clarified to be 'someone in a black band', which means she can't use Takechirou as a stand in).

While all three will probably have unique prompts for such things, I'm obviously very open to plotting specific scenarios as a result! (Ki-chan in particular could potentially have a bit of a time tiredly explaining her predicament if it comes to it, hah)

Naturally on the 'actual teen' end of things, Jonouchi- a month away from being 18, rotten luck- will be fine enjoying everything the Green Band has to offer.

Even if the Black Band Jungle Jog looks way more fun. He can survive. He can survive.

KIA'S PEOPLE (Siebren and Ryo)

Ryo is going to be doing a Lot of relaxing. This world is meant for relaxing? Everyone's okay? He's not responsible for anything? Great. Spa time, pool time, and definitely doing a lot of walking the forest trails, because it reminds him of home and he misses it. He can also be convinced to do the obstacle course and the jungle jog, because they look fun and why not?

(You know what he's never seen before in his life? Ball pits and waterslides. Someone please introduce him.)

He may also waylay a friend with an arms band (or ask if he can borrow one of the communal ones) because he will definitely be purchasing the meal baskets and squirreling them away. He's going to keep at least one, because he's promised to introduce a few people to cheese and he's going to keep that promise.

Siebren is fully planning on enjoying himself and can be convinced to partake in just about anything. He's definitely planning on the spa and the casino (though he is not above occasionally using his powers of Understanding Math to cheat a bit). The big thing will definitely be the nightly entertainment - namely, the karaoke afterwards. He loves it. He's terrible at it. He's well aware of that fact. It will not stop him. And he will absolutely rope other people into doing it with him.

Matt's Characters

Otoha is going to be acting as Emporio's chaperone when he needs one for some things, as well as checking on his brothers. Once he can be convinced to relax, he's going to hit up the casino and do okay - he knows when to walk away and has an amazing poker face. He'll probably be mostly ambling around so he's easy enough to rope into things.

Ken will take some convincing to relax, but he'll shove Vexen to the ice pool and then probably play a bunch of games. He's going to need to be dragged into doing more kid stuff, since he's stuck in the baby wristband group. He might go swimming and such since he does live on an island.

Casper will need to be dragged into the water for more swimming lessons, but he might also hold his breath and dive down to the caves (or go merman for it). He might also run around in other various forms, especially doggo form to get a good run in. He'll be easy to find.

Caleb is going to need some coaxing and explaining in regards to things. He and Essek are going to have a nighttime date (it's not a date!!!!) and he's going to try to relax. He might have a massage or use the spa in general... if you want your character to explain things to a non-modern character I can throw him at whatever.

Freeza Plotting

Freeza will take the time to "relax" by either doing just that, exploring, finding a quiet corner to train, or oddly? Swimming. He seems very at ease in the water. He will not attend to many social events unless asked but you may see him observing in passing if you'd like to drag his reluctant ass over to participate.

Jiu is gonna enjoy this rest and relaxation time the way it's meant to be enjoyed--lazing around in his room, maybe taking a walk in the forest or relaxing at the quiet pool...while he will explore the rest of the place out of curiosity, and you might even find him participating in things on rare occasions, you're most likely gonna have to drag him if you want him to actually get out and have Real Fun rather than acting like an old man on a retirement cruise.

He's also gonna spend a good few coins on that dessert tavern, don't judge him.

Thanatos

So Than's still kind of out of it, but he will actually be relaxing. In a way. He'll be quiet and still instead of constantly trying to do various tasks. All the life in the forest is helping his mental state even if he doesn't consciously realize it.

Than will be stargazing at night and lingering in the shade of the forest during the day. (Good luck getting him to sleep.) A very enthusiastic NPC in the art tent will notice Thanatos being the weirdo in the woods and make him do an art.

He will also be throwing a few coins in the lake, trying to get Charon's attention because that'll totally work. If a character's broke and willing to get wet, there's a way to get some more coin.
