We hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Merriment. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something".
This means: Any thread where you tag into another character's post or top level will earn you two bonus points during July and August.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during August AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC.
The ingredient of the month is coconut. Recipes are here. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom, refreshed at the platform, and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month’s chore assignments are:
Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train
As a reminder, you can list things that characters have added to the train here. Just comment under the header of the carriage to which you are adding. There is also a handy spreadsheet here!
When passengers return to the train after picking up new arrivals they will find sleeper carriage 5 has been removed- the four passengers from that carriage have been reassigned to different cabins, though no room-mates have been split up.
They is a slight change to the armoury- additional communal lockers- one for each team and a multi team locker. Information about that can be found on the settings page and the list of communal supplies can be found here.
Important Dates
This month’s event will be a train event running between the 12th and 17th of August.
The TDM will be posted on the 17th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and the 29th, and AC will run between the 23rd and 30th.

The shop has been updated with Large Items. Points have been updated on the roster.
Our new players (and old players who want a refresher) might find it useful to read gameplay before the platform. As always the mods are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Seto Kaiba (Orange)
About them: From Yu-Gi-Oh. Former tech CEO and winning-crazed rival, now plays train tech support and puts on a grumpy show about his 'friendships'. Trains a baby apple dragon Pokémon who's as stubborn as he is.
Plans: So at the beginning of the month Kaiba's going to be hurting because a few very close people are departing this platform, and he had an argument with his alternate self during the 4th wall about whether making 'friends' is stupid because they'll just leave you anyway.
But! The same Kaiba also inadvertently revealed to him that a few former passengers have safely landed on another world, and he managed to walk close to that world while anchoring. So he now believes it's definitely possible to reconnect with the people they've lost along the way, and he's going to ask people for help on this the next time they enter the void. Expect a post on this at some point, though he won't mention who he heard about to avoid some sticky situations.
Other than that, he's still working in game development. Still owes Tidus a blitzball game.
CR wanted: More friends, please? He'll play any and every game in the gaming car, either friendlies or someone with a competitive spirit. Yes, even Twister. You can also catch him trying to build self defense tech in the lab, where he might accidentally spit up a lightning spark. Oops.
Things to avoid: Nothing I can think of, he's good.

I'd love to come up with tech things for these guys to collab on if you're interested? They've already got the holo-drones but those are probably good to go at this point...

but seriously...what he wants to work on is deployable plasma shields. Something to provide cover for people doing important tech work.
Also video games, but that's not gonna help them win a mission.

oh hell yeah Dev will help him with those. If nothing else, he can machine the parts per a design, but if they have any kind of existing tech for him to look at he'll be able to assist in reverse-engineering it.
