About you: i'm garbage at introducing myself, but — heyo! i'm mala, she/her, timezone CST but i keep weird and inconsistent hours, so if you wanna drop me a line, feel free to leave it at my doorstep for me to get to later... i might just jump out and say hi anyway! uhhhh. hmm. i predict i'm going to be on the slower side of tagging, and will backtag into oblivion!

Canon: puella magi madoka magica: the different story — this is a canon AU! if you're unfamiliar, PMMM canonically has multiple timelines shenanigans going on, and i'm playing from one of the manga timelines, where mami survives past fighting the witch charlotte because sayaka contracted early (compared to madoka magica, the anime and main timeline)
Cabin and team: sleeper 7, cabin A, purple team!
Little bit about them: kyoko is a rude little tsundere gremlin who is constantly snacking. she's a magical girl, which sounds fun and sparkly, but she isn't the altruistic "save the day!" hero type. also, the contract for becoming a magical girl is full of fine print that you will not be warned about ahead of time, sooooo, as the memes say... being meguca is suffering. but even though kyoko is rough around the edges and her canon and background is full of content warnings (see permissions), she's got a good heart. you just gotta be patient and wait for her to show it

Mami has Feelings, because she's just coming through her identity crisis and just hit on a reminder of that part of her past. The different timeline thing will definitely be a confusion point!

kyoko is also going to have so many feelings, because she's coming from a post-death canon point so she feels like she failed mami by dying... and because she's going to show up with her ribbon back, the one she gave to mami...

and then mami isn't going to "remember" any of it...

kyoko might end up being a bit of a mess, it's going to be so good

hey, madoka will be kyoko's train senpai, at the very least...... but kyoko is Definitely going to want to watch out for mami, so looks like they might split the difference here
