Person-sized whales are just as valid as regular-sized whales. Only Zagreus is still going to ask you a million questions about the ocean. Hope that's cool!

Humans are indeed awesome, and also weird. Zagreus is going to be excited to meet alive ones soon!

Yes, S'reee expects it and more general ocean questions are better than 'so you're a whale, how's that working for you'. Especially if she's aware that Zag doesn't know much about anything on Earth proper.
