no worries, i feel a good number of characters have particularly hideous back stories in one way or another, and thank you for the heads up! there's definitely parts of wei wuxians which are less than pleasant, too, though he's unlikely to think on those things outwardly, yay positive forward focus

That is very very true, but only fair to warn people :D

Yoite's young, only 16, and he's very much still caught up in everything so unfortunately 'the future' is not a thing he has or thinks he has.

kid it sucks right now and it won't necessarily get better anytime soon but you keep going because if you don't then it definitely doesn't change, yeah? yeah!

poor kid though, being Old in comparison, Wei Wuxian would want to keep an eye out for him

Haha, good, that's exactly what he needs in life. People to look out for him. I should also mention he's very nearly completely deaf.

Unfortunately, if you're canon blind, it never gets better he dies very soon after his canon point but. As long as he's in VT he won't die that way so you know, there's some hope here. Fun to be had! Maybe.
