Crisis On... An Aeroplane

The train has a game carriage and the VR video games are always popular. A good way to relive boredom as well as teaching some good skills.

Crisis on...This game can be played with two to four players. It is essentially a crisis simulator mixed with an escape room. You can chose the scenario (the bridge of a space ship, a camp in a jungle, a high rise building, a sailing ship etc) and you are thrown into the middle of a crisis of some kind. Teamwork and a cool head are important as is using the surroundings wisely.

Here you are the crew of a small aeroplane in desperate trouble and attempting to land, the wind is strong, your engines are straining and the visibility is near zero. Can your crew land safely?

Dressing up

The Voidtreckers have a new mission and the dressing carriage is open for their convenience...

The mission is taking them to a circus and the clothes sure reflect that. Clown costumes, glittery leotards, many feathers and an overabundance of sequins.

There is make up and facepaint provided as well, hopefully there are enough voidtreckers with expertise to make it look convincing.

Clowning Around

Strange happenings have been happening in Kilpi, a monster ridden land and joining a performing troupe is the best bet of protection outside of the small settlements. The voidtreckers are masquerading as one such troupe, in order to help out a small settlement that has seen a spate of killings. Voidtreckers must put on the show of their lives, investigate the killings and bring peace back to the town.

Team One

Setting up the stage for the performance is a good time for building bonds with the towns people. Everyone knows something, no matter how small and they are more likely to gossip with stage hands than talk to the town guard.

Gather information, set up a stage and get ready for the show.

Team Two

The killings always happen in the evening or at night, always when people are alone. So making sure people are not alone is the task of team two. The show is ready, it is big, it is loud and hopefully enough to draw in the whole town.

Eat fire, juggle, walk that tightrope. Music plays, sequins glitter. The show is a distraction and their task is to be the best distraction they can be.

Team Three

Whilst team two are distracting it is team threes chance to catch the killer. The streets are deserted, quiet and stealth is necessary to remain undetected.

Most people are at the show, but not everyone. Are they in danger? Or are they potential suspects.

[People are fickle and she knows that, but that doesn't stop the swell of protective feelings toward them. She exists to defend them and if she isn't where she belongs, she can at least watch out for these ones.

She's used to thankless work.]

Good. [They shouldn't be. She's the one who interrupted his life.]

[The life that wouldn't have continued without her intervention.]

I'm... fine. For the most part. ... People are teaching me how to be... human. Sort of. I wasn't really allowed to be during my life.

I think... Eko lost his humanity long ago. And there's room for the yokai there, too... but he turned into something that wasn't either. He... stopped caring about anyone but himself.

I... never got to mourn Reiji. People are helping me with that.

[He runs his fingers through her hair gently, smiling a little bit.]

If all of this hadn't happened... and I hadn't been taken here... I would have just lived and died without really... living.

[She doesn't attempt to stop him as he runs his fingers through her hair. In fact, she doesn't move except to look up into his face and watch the expressions on his face. He's...smiling?]

You aren't human. Not anymore. [Blunt, but true, but she at least tries to temper it a bit.] It's...good for you to remember how to be. [Because she certainly can't help with that.]

You have a purpose. You always did. You simply hadn't found it.

I know I'm not. But... it's difficult to connect to people if you don't know how to be a person.

[He's been thinking about this a lot. He's not human and feels like he never was, so why is it so important to feel human here? He's still not sure he has the answer.]

The yokai I treated... felt closer to them than most humans. There's got to be a solution that's less destructive. ... It's good to practice skills that aren't just killing.

[She is very bad at this, still new at trying to offer comfort. She's always been so focused on her duty and...she'll have to find something else here. She has no duty left.]

You are a protector. You defend your world and ours. [You've earned a break.]

You have your own life. You must find what you wish to do with it.

... Both are my world now. It's just a new balance to walk.

[His own life, huh? ... Well, he's trying.]

I've been trying to learn how to take care of plants better. ... And I'm teaching someone how to defend himself.

There are people who can find things for you, too.You have your own personality. Every city does. You should get to use it some time for your own benefit, while you're able to.

[That is not something she's even thought to consider, let alone actually try. She's not supposed to think of anything but the city. She's not supposed to even be able to. But she's not supposed to leave it either, and look where they are.]

The benefit of the city is my benefit. [What would she even do?]

I know that.

[Is this why his memories had been taken away? To stop any sassing?]

But you as the city personified can't normally act on your own to do things. You can do that here, if only a little.

Why should I want to? [She'd never needed to before. Getting used to this is going to be...interesting.]

[bakegarasu]

Well for one, you're going to get very bored if you don't. For another... think of it as a way to understand how humans and yokai act. It might make it a little easier to understand them if you try to see how they live individually, rather than as part of the city as a whole.

[kabano]

[That is a very different way than she is used to thinking and she's not certain how much she likes it, but she nods regardless. This is something that Otoha definitely knows more about than she does.]

Fine. [It is not fine.] What do I do?

[He just puts a hand on the top of her head, chuckling.]

[She doesn't know, really, but she's half sure that Otoha knows that already.]

What do you like?

... I like training, but I also am enjoying planting things in the greenhouse space I share with Ryo. There's... a few people here I enjoy spending time with, too. And I'm enjoying learning how to cook more than I thought I would.

I... I'm trying a lot of things, too. I didn't have much of a life outside of fighting.

[kabano]

[She almost says that there wasn't much to life but fighting until recently, but is smart enough not to say that out loud. That's the whole point, isn't it? With Eko gone, even if they were in Shinjuku, she'd need to find something to occupy her time.]
