OOC plotting for Capture the Flag
Since it seems there's interest in actually playing a game of Capture the Flag, here is a post we can plot it in. I also have the IC post here! Hopefully we'll have enough people to actually 'play a game'.
This is meant to be just a fun, silly activity to relieve stress and tension. IC and OOCly, I'm going on the rule of "Don't be a jerk" as being the most important.
It'll be played by two teams, Yellow and Green, each with their own flag and colored vests that they can wear to identify who is on which team. There are two ways we can play this.
The simple version is take over the Standard Gym car, put a 'goalpost' at each end to represent the two bases, and play in there.
The more complex version may be played from Training Gym to Standard Gym. Which means, according to the train map, the cars allowed will be Training Gym, Cinema, Greenhouse, Garden, Medical, and Standard Gym
Medical is play in the corridor-only--the rest of it is off-limits.
Greenhouse will operate as a "Floor is Lava" rule for any part of it that isn't a pathway. We don't want to hurt the flowers or damage anyone's plots.
One gym would be Yellow base, and one would be Green Base, with the goal being to capture your team's flag, and take it to your own base.
Rules applicable to both versions include:
If an opposing team-member 'tags' you, you freeze in place for 3-seconds (counted out). A 'tag' is only valid on the arms or shoulder. In the more complicated version, every car will have a referee to ensure safety and fairness.
Here are some of the rules I'm considering:
Everyone have fun and be nice to each other, don't be a jerk. If you are a jerk, the referee reserves the right to remove you from play.
Medical is "corridor" only
Green house car has a "floor is lava" rule unless you're on a pathway.
Zetta has allowed us use of the garden car, provided he be allowed to provide obstacles.
No teleporting or phasing or flying.
No energy blasts or beams or blasts of any kind really.
Someone gets hurt, all play nearby stops to check on that person.
No intentionally tripping or causing someone to fall.
Listen to the referees.
Please feel free to chime in with opinions.
