December Information and CR Meme!

IC Month

This month is the month of Imagination. Days can be found here.

The thought of the month is: "We are made to persist. That's how we find out who we are."

This means: Any thread that reaches 15 comments (total) will earn you two points.

Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during December AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!

Recipes are here. The ingredient of the month is Honey. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.

This month’s chore assignments are:

Blue: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Purple: Meal Preparation
Red: Laundry
Orange: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms

The Train

When characters regroup on the train after the platform they will find a new carriage at the end of the train, beyond the luggage carriage.

Triage

This carriage is a double carriage. At the back of the car is a staircase, but at the front there's a lift connecting the two floors. Both floors have a corridor running down the left hand side.

The bottom floor is one large carriage, though there are curved curtain rails on the ceiling so that thick, grey curtains can be pulled around areas to cut them off. There are four medical beds that can be wheeled around or locked in place, and a handful of chairs. There are cupboards with medical equipment, primarily for first aid.

Upstairs there are two surgical bays. Though the equipment is basic, it is enough that wounds can be sewn and minor procedures undertaken. The ICP in this room has instructions for more complicated medical procedures but also carries warnings that advanced medical training is advised and surgery should only be carried out by senior medics.

This has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!

Important Dates

This month there will be two mini events! One on the 12th December which will be a little more meta-plot orientated and one on 20th which will be seasonal festive fun!

There is also a player-ran train meeting going up on the 5th December. As a reminder we have a player plot calendar for any large train-wide things anyone wishes to organise!

The TDM will be posted on the 16th. Reserves will open on the 19th. Apps are between the 22nd and 29th. AC will run from the 23rd to the 30th of December.

~ The mod team would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Ree (Player of Tidus) for her tremendous help during the boss battle! Team two have her to thank for that epic fight.

~ Talking of that fight and the mission: if any characters died please report their deaths here.

~ We have compiled the story so far for those interested in the slowly unfolding meta-plot!

~ AC this month will be check-in only. As long as you check in on the AC post when it goes up you will pass AC and get the 5 points for doing so. There will still be the opportunity to claim bonus challenge AC. If you are holding a strike from November you will have the option to either clear it in December or take the free check in and carry your strike over into January.

Yoite should absolutely learn. I know Jelle has said Madoka would be interested in learning with him. He is getting by lip reading at the moment so a lot of characters are not yet aware that he can't actually hear them. He's been a bit wary of admitting that, but I imagine soon enough that will come out.

By the way! Tidus spoke to Nerdanel on the mission about making Xingchen a stick from bamboo to help him get around (until he gets his eye sight back, of course)! I'll just ping the player and they can say if it'd be ready by the time they're back on the train or even during the mission. :) The player also spoke of enchanting it so it would be hard to lose.

Dev talks to himself in sign a lot, so we could probably arrange for it to come up via an encounter when he's chattering away with his hands if it doesn't come out some other way first. If you liked, of course!

Character: Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez
About them: Bleach -- he's a hollow, so he tends to be Not Too Pleasant and also his diet (pre-train) was exclusively other souls. He's making do with 'human food' now. (He likes it, but he will not admit it.)
Plans: Still haven't gotten around to having him set off a cero at the engine car, so I need to do that. Some day it will happen!!!

Also he's gonna get high on catnip. So. That will be a thing this month.
CR wanted: Someone is gonna have to explain xmas to him. And maybe help him work out how to use the shop.
Things to avoid: trouble IDK serious bodily injury???

He is kind of a power armor test pilot where he comes from, plus (untrained) assistant to the group's chief engineer.

And a cyborg. (Not a very interesting one, though.)

About them: From The Raven Cycle, he's a 19 year old psychic who tends to be on the quieter side but has no trouble making friends. He's been through Some Shit, so he's used to weird stuff happening.
Plans: I have zero plans, though he will be considerably upset at least part of this month because of Reasons.
CR wanted: Friends! Enemies! Anything in between!
Things to avoid: He's already romantically attached so he won't be getting involved with anyone, but please feel free to flirt with him anyway.

Character: Dyme Graydon
About them: An OC who comes from a futuristic world Not Earth. He's a musician with his own band back home and has a heart of gold. He's also dumb as a sack of rocks most of the time, but he means well.
Plans: Again, I have zero plans. He'll still be a little upset over Bucky leaving, but he's coming to terms with it.
CR wanted: Anything! Good, bad, in between, I'm open to it all!
Things to avoid: Nah

Hey, hi, thank you very much for letting me know! The last world has a lot of bamboo, so I figured he collected a few on board. He doesn't know what the future holds for him, so he'll be using that to get his way around in the meanwhile. I think, he should received it during the mission and used it after.

Xion's been supplying most of it, since she doesn't really spend points on anything else. But Lea'll take care of the next round if he gives some to anyone else. Or he might attempt to make his own, since there are ice cream makers on board.

Glorfindel will assist Alfredo. He's led armies, as well as the forces of Imladris. Small squad fighting is something he's familiar with.

Personally, though, my knowledge of tactics comes from D&D: Have someone distract their heavy fighter, take out the wizards and the clerics, try to do it fast enough that they don't consume your loot. :D

If he needs anything while he is healing, just let WWX know. Even if it is for WWX to go away for a couple of hours ;)

Would you like Glorfindel come and glow during the recovery? It's what he does, it speeds healing. He can also supply pastries.
