Seriously, Khary is just.... there is a reason nearly all his icons are smiling/grinning/smirking. The part of the book he gets his name from he and his friend/brother Aaron just saw a super independent woman basically sign herself up for being fussed at by some of the most overprotective fussy stubborn males they know... without realizing what she was getting herself in for. Aaron asked what they should do, Khary said they should sell tickets and find a safe distance to watch the explosion. Even the rare times he is angry, he finds reasons to smile anyway, uses amusement to dull his own temper to keep it leashed. He is so freaking much fun. And has a few races on his world with pointed ears, so it is Curufin;'s eye colour that will confuse him. (Not the way it confused Kaylin, mind) but he'll find that new and interesting.
