October Information and CR Meme
I hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Horseshoe. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "Friendship is the comfort of knowing that even if you feel alone, you aren’t."
This means: Any thread where you are meeting new CR earns you two team points! The thread must be with someone you have not written with before in game but assumed CR is alright (e.g if they are your roommate, or a castmate).
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during October AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!
Recipes are here. The key ingredient this month is teddy bear luncheon meat (both ham and beef types). All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month's chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train.
As the month moves through the month of Horseshoe the train will stop to pick up new passengers.
When they return to the train they will notice some changes.
Coach L: Armoury
This room is a single carriage, there is a corridor running down the left hand side with three doors leading into the carriage itself.
Around the outer walls and making a solid back to back wall down what would usually be the centre aisle are tall lockers in all four team colours. They have a shelf at the top that can be folded down.
Each locker is open initially and to claim a locker passengers need only insert their ticket into a slot in the door, this registers the locker as theirs as their ticket will be needed to open and use that locker. There is an information plaque on the wall near each entrance explaining this. Each passenger can claim one locker.
This has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!

This month's event will run over the 9th and 10th October. A plotting post will go up on the 7th October
Reserves will open 19th October with a TDM going up on the 17th October. Apps are between 22nd October and 29th October. AC will run 23rd October to 30th October.

The passenger roster has been updated with point counts for the month.
We have a spreadsheet to help with linking character names to names on rosters, as there are quite a few characters for whom this differs. This has been linked both on the Passenger Roster page and on the Sleeper Cabin page for ease of keeping track of who is who!

A reminder that if anyone is doing anything crazy that they think may have consequences please let us know on the character shenanigans page!

Character: Tohru Mutou
About them: Shiki. Orange Team, 6-D. A teenager from rural Japan with not a lot of immediate goals in life. Likes playing video games, watching television, and skipping school to do those things. Kind to a fault and possesses the charisma to make befriend just about anyone regardless of age or personality.
Plans: Make more friends, mostly. I was bad with doing things last month and hope to be better this month.
CR wanted: Friends, enemies, video game buddies...anything really
Things to avoid: I'd rather avoid killing him this soon.
Character: Noctis Lucis Caelum (AU-CRAU)
About them: Final Fantasy XV (up to chapter 9) + Fanfic AU + Drift Fleet/Revival Project CRAU. Purple Team, 1-B. A prince from the world of Eos who went on a roadtrip with some friends that went very, very wrong. Was permanently and completely blinded due to fanfic events and also spent about a year traveling around in space as a spaceship pilot (Drift Fleet augment). He tends not to advertise the first bit, not using his cane as frequently as he should, and mostly to poke his way through crowds.
Currently, he's still essentially blind, but a few IC weeks ago, Kumoko managed to fix his eyes enough that he can see vague blobs of color.
Plans: He's going to attempt to make progress in his new book--braille is harder when it's not single words or short phrases--and he might haunt the kitchen in the hopes he'll absorb some cooking knowledge
CR wanted: Anything! He's not super social by default, so maybe people who friendship anyone?

Lightning still has ten magic flasks from the FF15 world that she needs to just hand to Noctis since he's the only one who can use them. Also, more CR with Tohru and Light? Please befriend her.......

It was ruled that OU!Noctis can draw elemental magic from Lightning, because she's a crystal magic source of similar origin to the crystals of Eos. So the ruling will stick for Noct, and she'll offer. :>
