October Information and CR Meme
I hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Horseshoe. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "Friendship is the comfort of knowing that even if you feel alone, you aren’t."
This means: Any thread where you are meeting new CR earns you two team points! The thread must be with someone you have not written with before in game but assumed CR is alright (e.g if they are your roommate, or a castmate).
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during October AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!
Recipes are here. The key ingredient this month is teddy bear luncheon meat (both ham and beef types). All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month's chore assignments are:
Orange: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Blue: Meal Preparation
Purple: Laundry
Red: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train.
As the month moves through the month of Horseshoe the train will stop to pick up new passengers.
When they return to the train they will notice some changes.
Coach L: Armoury
This room is a single carriage, there is a corridor running down the left hand side with three doors leading into the carriage itself.
Around the outer walls and making a solid back to back wall down what would usually be the centre aisle are tall lockers in all four team colours. They have a shelf at the top that can be folded down.
Each locker is open initially and to claim a locker passengers need only insert their ticket into a slot in the door, this registers the locker as theirs as their ticket will be needed to open and use that locker. There is an information plaque on the wall near each entrance explaining this. Each passenger can claim one locker.
This has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!

This month's event will run over the 9th and 10th October. A plotting post will go up on the 7th October
Reserves will open 19th October with a TDM going up on the 17th October. Apps are between 22nd October and 29th October. AC will run 23rd October to 30th October.

The passenger roster has been updated with point counts for the month.
We have a spreadsheet to help with linking character names to names on rosters, as there are quite a few characters for whom this differs. This has been linked both on the Passenger Roster page and on the Sleeper Cabin page for ease of keeping track of who is who!
I’d also like to thank Perky for the awesome illustrations that can be found on our setting page!
A reminder that if anyone is doing anything crazy that they think may have consequences please let us know on the character shenanigans page!

Contact info: Am still on plurk hiatus (so if you ping me and I don't respond... that's why. I have the site blocked so I stay responsible and everything.) but am also on Discord at Autistic_Ace#5045
Skipping the usual form, here's my planned layout: Nita Callahan will be taking point on the platform, and her toplevel (which I will do my best to limit my tag-brain with) will have three parts (one for ordering things/helping her friends place orders - also reacting to the Weapons option being available; one specific to the platform and targeted towards newbies/people trying to contact the train while they're AT a platform (attn: Xander and Clef! Also Dairine and S'reee if they want a try); one Wildcard for on-the-train things that's open to all). She's a wizard and, to go by what her friends say, a very good one. She's also just plain a good person, or tries to be... even if she has a temper.
She's also a bookaholic, but I also seem to play only bookaholics in this game, so keep that in mind. =P Her permissions are here!
Webmind, meanwhile, is available by request/Discord ping/PM, and will give a slightly more mundane introduction to the multiverse for newbies - and will also be rather wary of the whole armoury thing. He can most easily be found in the library, but I can toss him most anywhere! For an entity that's supposed to be the Internet, he doesn't have nearly as much awareness of what happens on the train as he'd like, so when he's not working on his pet coding project, he tends to wander.
Permissions for him are here, though if your character is an OC/comes from after 2012 they don't really have to apply. ;) If there's anything that's part of your character's home setting you'd like him to know about/have as a common reference frame, though, let me know!
And Alfredo is my only Blue, a preteen who lived (and died) in the mid 1800s. He's a sweetheart, and still new to the train, so he needs more friends to bond with! I'll be tossing him more on non-intro logs this month, but ping me if you'd like him as well!
