Hii! With this proposal, Tidus wants to help people learn some different sports, with people helping to teach each other, finding partners for games, and just generally having a good ol' time bashing around balls.

But I wanted to also make sure if people would be interested in a log...! Characters can try out any ball game, not just the ones Tidus mentioned, and whether they know how to play it or not. It will take over a few days just to give people time to jump in and practice, so there's no rush about anything ICly or OOCly. There's no need to interact with Tidus and people can play with whoever. B)

She would be great at handling sports and if you wanted to do anything with this, I finally put up a log here! I may make note of it on the post for it that Sports Clubs are a thing.

Sure! Did you want to top level per sport? One for volleyball, baseball, etc.

No, it'd be easier just to let people decide which of the sports their character will be doing in their own top-level! :) No need to spread it out.

Not played with a ball, but when he is back, Khary can teach people Cows and Sheep if you want. Maybe on the beach? It's like team tag. with three teams. Back home it is a game usually played with Scelties (small sentient dogs) but it can be played just people also.

Basically There are two areas designated as pens. There are also areas designated as brambles. (I'd have to look at how many there are for brambles, again, if you are interested.) The teams are herders, cows, and sheep. Herders have to get all the cows into one pen and all the sheep into the other, at the same time. When a cow or sheep is herded into a pen they have to stay there a set amount of time. If they can make it to the brambles, they can stay there and rest for up to two minutes.

Extrapolating, to explain why cows and sheep would be different, I'd go so far as to say that maybe sheep stay in the pen a smaller amount of time than the cows, but they can't go in the brambles? I dunno, we see the game played twice and not much is explained, but I can get you the whole passage verbatim if you want.

Hello sorry for the wait, but if you did this on the beach, I would have Tidus get involved! Or maybe we can find a way of simplifying it ICly, to make it work with people.

🤔 I'm imagining that since it would need to be played with people, something like a tag version may work? Hmm. I think it would need to be simplified to work on the train but it'd be a cute exercise I imagine, a lot of running around involved.

The beach would be the best place for it, yes. I would do this only if Titus were already involved though, I'm not sure Khary would think to teach the game unless someone was asking IC about sports. And yes, we can simplify it for sure! Maybe take out either the cows or the sheep and make it just the two teams....
