August Information and CR Meme!
I hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Grasshopper. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is "Find the journey's end in every step."
This means: Any thread that comes to a neat ending during the month of July or August will earn you two team points! Threads can have been started earlier but they need to be neatly wrapped/concluded in those two months.
Threads that fulfil this criteria can be submitted during August AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!
Recipes are here. The key ingredient this month is carrots. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This month's chore assignments are:
Red: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Orange: Meal Preparation
Blue: Laundry
Purple: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train.
As the month moves through the month of Grasshopper the train will stop to pick up new passengers.
When they return to the train they will notice some changes.
Coach A: Quiet Coach
This carriage is a double carriage with a staircase at each end. Both floors have a corridor running down the left hand side. Each floor holds five booths with glass doors (ten altogether). The booths have two comfy benches facing each other. Each bench holds three people easily, or more in a squeeze! The booths lock from the inside and are completely sound-proofed. There is no ICP screen in this carriage and the only announcements to come through the speakers are those from the train driver.
Two of the booths on the bottom floor have been merged together in some horrible demolition work. Inside there are shelves and the table is moved so it is a work space. There are curtains across the glass and a lock on the door.
Coach D: Medical
This carriage is a double carriage At the back of the carriage there is a staircase but at the front there is a lift connecting the two floors. Both floors have a corridor running down the left hand side and on the right there are three compartments.
On the bottom floor two compartments have doors with windows. These are examination room. A simple bed, a chair, scales, simple medical equipment such as a blood pressure monitor and stethoscope. Inside a cupboard there is a medical kit more advanced than those in the corridors of the train. There are also basic medications- painkillers and anti-histamines. There are also a couple of epinephrine autoinjectors (epipens but not branded as such, obviously). The ICP in these compartments have information about a range of illnesses and their treatments.
The third is a surgical bay. Though the equipment is basic it is enough that wounds can be sewn and minor procedures undertaken. The ICP in this room has instructions for more complicated medical procedures but also carries warnings that advanced medical training is advised and surgery should only be carried out by senior medics.
Upstairs there are four compartments. Each has a glass window and door, though there is a curtain to pull across for privacy. These are recovery room each with a medical bed and an accessible toilet/shower. On the ICP in each of these rooms it is possible to register a passenger as recovering here, if so they will not return to their own bed each morning but remain in the recovery bed. However that passengers ticket will not allow them out of the recovery bay until they are ‘discharged’ and only one passenger can be registered there at any one time.
All of this has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!
Important Dates
This month event will run from the 15th to the 20th August. This event will have an opt-in element to it- plotting and sign ups will be posted on the 2nd August.
Reserves will open 18th August with a TDM going up on the 17th August. Apps are between 22nd August and 29th August. AC will run 23rd August to 30th August.
Other Info
The passenger roster has been updated with point counts for the month. Lunch boxes have been added as a souvenir option on the train shop.
I have added a piece about looking into the void and what might happen on the gameplay page.
A reminder that if anyone is doing anything crazy that they think may have consequences please let us know on the character shenanigans page!

My Four.
Contact info:
Gladiolus Amicitia | Final Fantasy XV
About them: Final Fantasy XV: Newest member of the trains council, newest Team Lead for the Blue Team. General good guy who is built like a brick out house and enjoys walking around topless. Because when you have pecs like his, why the hell not? Anyway, other stuff... brought up as a Shield to the King, loves camping, carries a sword that's bigger than he is, has a flower patch in the green house where he grows his namesakes, is teaching a few people how to cook simple foods (he's no Ignis, but he's finding it fun!).
Plans: Current plans are that he will be working on his team and a mission plan for his team. That won't take the whole two weeks so after that, no idea! ^^
CR wanted: ANY! Gladio would be happy to meet new people.
Things to avoid: Nothing!
Duo Maxwell | Gundam Wing
About them: Gundam Wing: The pilot of a big as robot, has a long ass braid, maker of marshmallows!
Plans: Nothing. Literally nothing... >.> Halp?
CR wanted: Friends... Found family types... Romance... Any damn thing to get this boy from stagnating!
Things to avoid: Not much to avoid. He'll tell you!

Sleepy Ash (Maru) | Servamp
About them: Servamp: The Servamp of Sloth, Maru is a vampire like no other, in that sunlight doesn't kill him... it turns him into a cat. He can be found around the train usually as a cat. His hobbies include video games and naps with his chocobo-feather pillow! In human form he generally looks like he hasn't slept in a week, he'll come off as board and disinterested, even if he IS interested... But he's a sweet boy (if a few hundred years old... It's never expressed, but I swear he's from around the 1600s!). His Eve (master) is Madoka, so he'll be found with her a lot, though he does wander off on his own. And he will just wander off at the end of a conversation without saying bye. It's so bothersome saying bye...!
Plans: Nothing currently. Maru does what Maru does!
CR wanted: Much like Duo, friends, if someone wants to try that 'found family' stuff on him, why not! ... Romance would make me laugh like hell. That's way too much energy for Maru!
Things to avoid: Nope!
Gerome | Fire Emblem: Awakening
About them: Fire Emblem: The Awakening: Normally found on the back of a wyvern named Minerva, Gerome is from a medieval time where EVERYTHING on the train is some kind of weird alien thing that baffles him, even the chairs look weird! He wears a mask. He doesn't talk much. His catchphrase is "..." and he uses it often!
Plans: Getting used to train life still!
CR wanted: LOL if anyone can tolerate this guy, I'm down for him making friends... Just know it won't be an easy task. He literally has none. He even struggles to admit Inigo is his friend and he's known him since they were kids!
Things to avoid: Don't take his mask off. This will bother him.
