Below are the floors of the facility that orange team is exploring.

The building itself is made of a stark metal, corridors are wide and many of the inside walls are made of glass. Though there is an outer fence and warning signs to say they are entering a restricted space the gates are not locked, nor is the door. Indeed there don’t seem to be any locks. The floors are connected by a set of elevators (shown as red blocks on the maps).

To explore an area please reply under the comment and give the number of the area on the map you wish to explore.

Each character may request TWO searches per IC day- though they may be in threads with others exploring and searching other places. This is to make sure everyone has a chance to search!

There are a series of comfy chairs small tables. Everything is rather large, made for people who are around seven or eight feet tall.

At one end there is a water dispenser and a machine that makes various hot drinks. Some of them are recognisable and others have strange names.

On one of the tables there is a Terran phone, it has a black screen with green text and works rather like a smart phone. It is showing a reminder for a meeting at Research Facility A63I.

Is the phone locked in any way, or does it lack protection, like the doors?

(Webmind may grab it if he's with Daia, or at least make a note of it to give back to its owner assuming they ever find the scientists!)

If it's not locked, can people trial-and-error their way into finding a contact list - or finding out if it has a video function, much less video stored?

Webmind now has the phone and is looking for whatever information isn't locked away or encrypted.

The screen is black with green text. Webmind will be able to access it as a person (using hands and eyes) but any attempt at interfacing will lead to the same frustrating languages not quite matching as trying to get into the coding of any of the computers.

There is a contact list, a calendar with various meetings scheduled, including the one that the reminder had popped up for. There are a few messages, most seem to be with a person called 'Zal'- they are the usual domestic messages of life, requests to pick up food or essentials, reminders about tasks and apologies for being late or running behind schedule. There is a half written message in drafts. "Status check? Are you safe?" It has not been sent.

There are not any photos or videos.

Webmind is going to attempt calling/t-mailing all those contacts.

Will Orange or Purple team be able to track anyone's location down by the ensuing ringing, or are the phones not present/powered off?

They hear no ringing from inside the building if that is what you mean.

Are they just going down the contact list? What are they saying if anyone actually picks up?

This will take them quite a while.

If people answer, Webmind apologizes for disturbing them and says they are attempting to find the owner of the phone (which is true, fortunately), as well as asking if the replier themselves is okay/away from any collapsing structures.

How many contacts ARE there? =O

122 contacts.

35 of them ring out, or go straight to answering machine.

Of the remaining 87 - 30 seem just confused at the whole situation and why this number is calling them at all (they are mostly all fine and away from falling structures, though six of them are in cut off areas of the city and sound mostly exhausted.

The rest answer with various levels of worry and upset. Some just generally worried, especially when Webmind explains he is trying to find the owner of the phone (who they will learn is called Licxon)

Others answer frantically, relief in their voices which turns quickly into even more worry. There are tears. There is demands to know who this is, what they have done with Licxon.

At least thirteen answer with 'dad?'

It's probably takes a good few hours.

Webmind has practice balancing calls with people experiencing all SORTS of emotions...

This is not how he expected to be calling upon that experience, but. :'D

Webmind makes sure to be as heartfelt in his assurances as possible, promising to contact them all in the future when he does have more information about Licxon. "I do not know what has happened, but we are going to find out," is the theme of the day.

Do the warm drinks cost money, or will it dispense from just selecting the options?

The machine does not appear to require any currency or insert, and will merrily dispense first a disposable conical container, into which it will then pour whatever drink Daia selects.

What are some of the more peculiar options, if you don't mind me asking? Or shall I just be creative here?

He got so far in his investigation!

For the most part you can be creative but for some options:

Ala berry tea This tea is bright purple, but it is very sweet and he will get the feeling it tastes just as good cold as it does hot

Sawn This has a rich earthy taste and will clear his mind somewhat, very refreshing.

Beetlejuice Depending what he knows about Terrans from any communication with Purple team he might not be keen on this one... it's very literal.
