Orange Exploration

Below are the floors of the facility that orange team is exploring.

The building itself is made of a stark metal, corridors are wide and many of the inside walls are made of glass. Though there is an outer fence and warning signs to say they are entering a restricted space the gates are not locked, nor is the door. Indeed there don’t seem to be any locks. The floors are connected by a set of elevators (shown as red blocks on the maps).

To explore an area please reply under the comment and give the number of the area on the map you wish to explore.

Each character may request TWO searches per IC day- though they may be in threads with others exploring and searching other places. This is to make sure everyone has a chance to search!

In the centre of room two is a large silver orb, floating just off the ground. The rest of the room seems to be storage for various scientific equipment.

If someone tried to sense anything telepathically from the orb, would something come up?

What is she trying to sense? Is she just trying to 'feel' it without touching it? Is she trying to sense a mind? Is she trying to get a read on what it is?

I was intending to look for any kind of awareness or sentience in the orb.

Options one and three actually sound like they were better questions, but it'd probably be easiest to stick with the original idea.

She get's no sense of awareness or sentience. Indeed reaching out that way feels... strange, fuzzy, as if her magic can't exactly penetrate it.

And it's okay! If she wants to try those once her first idea gets her no where thats fine!

Can she get any read on what it is?

Again her magic seems to slip around it. She doesn't get any readings on what it might be- but she gets the size (1 meter in diameter), temperature (22-25 degrees Celsius) and speed (basically zero though there's a little variance especially if she has physically touched it in any way)

Webmind (starting at the bottom and working his way up) will access 1 and 3!

(And he will also focus on learning/decoding the languages here, as well as trying to crack any encryption on computer'd notes.)

There's not much to decode in the languages, as the SCA does most the hard work for him. The computer coding language is harder and will take him a good while to learn.

Room One~ Is mostly storage for various scientific equipment. However on one of the tables there is a handheld scanner. It is rather large- made for Terran hands but is a motion detector that will detect any sweeping kinetic moves, such as approaching creatures or vehicles.

Webmind and Elfnein are doing synchronized light-casting on orbs located on different floors.

Will anything happen to either orb?

They get a pretty light show!

The light refracts in a cool way through the orbs. But nothing much of note happens!

Day 2
