Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

What to do on a train.

The problem with trains is you are unable to get off them. Whilst hurtling through an ever changing void that’s probably a good thing all told but it can lead to boredom. Or at least it does if you don’t think creatively enough!

What can you do in a standard coach? Well the obvious, most practical use is a comfy place to sit, in relative solitude as long as no one sits too close. Read a book if you’ve the points to buy one, or write in your journal.

But thinking outside the box a standard coach is also a pretty good climbing course, up and down over the rows of seats, there’s even gaps under the seats if you want to add to the challenge. Or you could just play the floor is lava.

Escorting Dralite

Dralite: Small, bat like creatures. As chicks they are about the size of a beach ball, however it soon becomes apparent that they are predominantly made of wings. Unfurled the creature is tiny with massive wings, spanning a meter long each. It is obvious why they need an escort, they cannot yet fly and their movement is severely hampered by their disproportionate wing size. They will happily cling to any friendly creatures.

Adult dralite are about the size of a sheep with large wings and large claws. They are teritorial but not overtly hostile unless provoked.

Dralite have a screech that will floor most creatures, knocking them down disoriented. As chicks their screech will stun, giving them time to escape from danger.

This world has a sizable colony and a group of humans who preserve and look after the huge dralite nests. However it seems like a group of chicks have gone missing, poachers are suspected, probably planning on selling the chicks off world.

Team One Is to track down the missing dralite. There are clues, footprints, other tracks and rumours of an unauthorised camp of humans in the area. Follow the tracks, check out the camp, see if you can find who took the dralite chicks and where they are being kept.

Team Two Is to rescue the chicks by any means necessary. Be that sneaking in and stealing them back or bursting in to challenge the poachers and put an end to their operation once and for all.

Team Three The remaining chicks still need looked after, especially with many of the volunteers helping hunt down the missing ones. They are needy creatures that cannot mover very far on their own so rely on clinging to other species to get around. You might just find yourself with a new dralite hat or cloak clinging to you, trying to get comfy. They shriek whenever they are afraid or don’t get their way and are likely to wrap their wings around your head if things get too scary. Good luck!

Around the Campfire

Once the chicks are back safe and sound it is time for a celebration. A huge BBQ and campfire is set up for a tasty feast. Just remember to share the meat with your new dralite friends or they will get sad and sulky and that could lead to trouble.

There’s lots of food and afterwards the dralite conservationists will tell stories around the fire, inviting the trekkers to do the same. Wanting to know of the different worlds they have been to, the adventures they’ve been on. Or if real life tale telling is not for you then they will settle for a good ghost story.

What would Yaslana do if he were... Right. One hand still on the cart he vanished what he held in the other, reached back and grabbed Reigen by the back of his clothes, lifting him, using Craft to help take the weight. So that the other male wasn't hurting and Khary wasn't slowed. He could only do this so long, but they were almost back to the others.

"Then you need some lessons, boyo." And he suspected he knew who was going to have to give them, since Sadi and the High Lord weren't here to help.

"Wha-?!" Suddenly being lifted, Reigen let out a surprised yell, flailing his arms in confusion before realizing what was happening and just going with it. He'd accept the break from sprinting.

"Is that your way of offering?" There was a little sarcasm in the question, since honestly he took anyone's advice on his ability to bluff with a grain of salt. Could he have run his own business for four years without being good at acting like he knew what he was talking about? Of course not!

"If we get out of this alive," which he knew they would, "Yeah. I may not be Sadi, but I think I've learned enough to help you up your game. Or at least not get yourself surrounded without an exit strategy."

Yes, he seemed amused, and was grinning as he ran.

"Hey. Who's to say that wasn't my strategy?" Ok, getting knives pointed at him and having to kick a guy was less than ideal, but no one else had to know that. Reigen preferred to focus on the positives.

"Alright, then if I didn't have the power to shield you, how were you planning on getting out of there?" He's listening, amused, ready to laugh.

"Hmm...more or less the same? I happen to be a green belt." Did Khary know what that meant? If not, Reigen would have some explaining to do. "If things got really bad, I might have to rely on my own psychic abilities, but that'd cause way too much collateral damage. Only a last resort." A last resort he didn't actually have, but Reigen did remember stealing some knockout spray from one of those Claw guys (what was his name again? The one with the glasses?). He'd have to double-check if the bottle still had any left from last time he had to use that, assuming it even made it through with him on his travel here.

He knew what a Green Jewel was. But a Belt? Nope. "So you wear the Green then? With proper care the Green shouldn't cause that much collateral damage unless you want it to. I know people who wear the Black and can be devastatingly subtle." He grinned, even though not all the memories were pleasant. But he chose one that was. "You haven't seen careful application of temper until you are sitting on a sofa that suddenly turns into uniform pieces of rubble each the exact size of a grain of rice."

"...what kind of martial arts have you been practicing?" Last he checked it wasn't possible to shred a couch with simple kung-fu. There were psychics who could do that, but...could you even get a black belt in ESP? Now Reigen was the one with a lot of questions. "Ha, I mean...I've seen something like that." Mob had done bigger when he'd gotten serious: the rubble that used to be the cultural tower of Seasoning City and that giant broccoli were proof of that. Man, Reigen thought, next time he saw Mob he'd have to thank him for being a good kid who didn't destroy furniture.

"I think we need to have a long chat and figure things out once we're safe from pursuit."

"Agreed." There was only so much they could talk about while Reigen was essentially cargo.

"Almost there. Missing the Winds like anything though," he said with a bit of a grin. The thought of dragging them all through the Winds made him just as glad there wasn't a thread in reach. So, bright sides!
