Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

What to do on a train.

The problem with trains is you are unable to get off them. Whilst hurtling through an ever changing void that’s probably a good thing all told but it can lead to boredom. Or at least it does if you don’t think creatively enough!

What can you do in a standard coach? Well the obvious, most practical use is a comfy place to sit, in relative solitude as long as no one sits too close. Read a book if you’ve the points to buy one, or write in your journal.

But thinking outside the box a standard coach is also a pretty good climbing course, up and down over the rows of seats, there’s even gaps under the seats if you want to add to the challenge. Or you could just play the floor is lava.

Escorting Dralite

Dralite: Small, bat like creatures. As chicks they are about the size of a beach ball, however it soon becomes apparent that they are predominantly made of wings. Unfurled the creature is tiny with massive wings, spanning a meter long each. It is obvious why they need an escort, they cannot yet fly and their movement is severely hampered by their disproportionate wing size. They will happily cling to any friendly creatures.

Adult dralite are about the size of a sheep with large wings and large claws. They are teritorial but not overtly hostile unless provoked.

Dralite have a screech that will floor most creatures, knocking them down disoriented. As chicks their screech will stun, giving them time to escape from danger.

This world has a sizable colony and a group of humans who preserve and look after the huge dralite nests. However it seems like a group of chicks have gone missing, poachers are suspected, probably planning on selling the chicks off world.

Team One Is to track down the missing dralite. There are clues, footprints, other tracks and rumours of an unauthorised camp of humans in the area. Follow the tracks, check out the camp, see if you can find who took the dralite chicks and where they are being kept.

Team Two Is to rescue the chicks by any means necessary. Be that sneaking in and stealing them back or bursting in to challenge the poachers and put an end to their operation once and for all.

Team Three The remaining chicks still need looked after, especially with many of the volunteers helping hunt down the missing ones. They are needy creatures that cannot mover very far on their own so rely on clinging to other species to get around. You might just find yourself with a new dralite hat or cloak clinging to you, trying to get comfy. They shriek whenever they are afraid or don’t get their way and are likely to wrap their wings around your head if things get too scary. Good luck!

Around the Campfire

Once the chicks are back safe and sound it is time for a celebration. A huge BBQ and campfire is set up for a tasty feast. Just remember to share the meat with your new dralite friends or they will get sad and sulky and that could lead to trouble.

There’s lots of food and afterwards the dralite conservationists will tell stories around the fire, inviting the trekkers to do the same. Wanting to know of the different worlds they have been to, the adventures they’ve been on. Or if real life tale telling is not for you then they will settle for a good ghost story.

"You know, I've seen so much the past month or so that I'm not even surprised by that." Being in a manga character in another universe. Life's weird and sometimes awful, might as roll with it. He watches the magician and his pretty impressive level of parkour before moving over and dropping down on one of the benches nearby.

"Nope! Just my hands." He wiggles his fingers. "Well, I can stick with like... any part if I focus on it-got stuck to my ceiling when I first got my powers. That was rough. Anyway, I'm Peter. Peter Parker. And... also Spider-Man."

Upside-down, Kaito produces a deck of cards from... somewhere and starts shuffling them in increasingly improbable shapes.

"That's very cool." He nods solemly. "Spider-Man? Because you got bit by a spider, and not because you turn into a spider, I assume. I'm just a magician - Kuroba Kaito, Japanese High School Student. No fancy names or powers here!"

Not a Thief. Nope. Not At All on the FBI's Most Wanted list, don't listen to the detective.

Peter watches as Kaito shuffles those cards, it's pretty impressive. Just a magician. Right, and Peter was just a kid.

"Uh, yeah. I mean-the bite did weird things to my DNA and now I'm like part spider." He explains, casually.

"You must be a pretty awesome magician though-that's some impressive shuffling you're doing."

Absolutely Just A Magician. About half the cards turn into ping pong balls.

"Thanks! I've been practising since I was a kid - my dad's the best magician ever, and I hope to follow in his footsteps one day. This stuff is pretty basic sleight of hand. You should see what I can do with all of my proper gear."

"Yeah? I have a friend that can do like... three card tricks. He's pretty proud of himself about it." Peter thinks they're all three pretty cool too. No one else at Midtown Tech seemed to but what did they know?

"Hey, have you ever seen that show with uh... the two really Famous Magicians? From Vegas? ...What's their names..." He trails off a moment. "Penn and Teller! Fool Us. Have you ever seen it? Think you could fool em?" Sorry about his rambling Kaito, Peter is easily excited.

"You watch em too?" Kaito sits up with a grin.

"I love their show. It's great for getting ideas from. And I dunno, I reckon I could though it would take something special."

Peter just shrugs. He's not ride or die for Penn and Teller so he's much more casual about it.

"Sometimes. I mean, it depends on when I get home on Monday and if Aunt May burned dinner too bad or not. I mean-she doesn't mean to, but Uncle Ben used to the be one to cook and I have a pretty hectic life being a superhero so we usually just eat out."

"........." Kaito blinks at him. "A superhero?"

He raises his eyebrow.

"Yeah, like I said-I'm Spider-Man. I'm out of webfluid right now, but I can still stick to things and I'm really strong. So still pretty useful in a tight scrape. Mr Stark still has the whole Iron Man suit though." He pauses a moment, as if trying to remember something.

"Nice to meet you, by the way."

"Yeah but like. You mean you're like a comic character fighting evil by moonlight or something?"

Kaito asks curiously. "Web...fluid? What do you spit it or something?"

"Uh no. I'm not Sailor Moon. My Curfew's ten thirty on a school night, eleven on the weekends." Peter admits. "I was late once ooh boy. Aunt May was furious." He shakes the thought out of his head.

"Webfluid-I make it-well Mr Stark's helping me with a new version-but it goes in my web shooters." He holds up his wrists and pulls the sleeve of his hoodie down to show off his webshooter. "I'm on empty right now though-used the last of it up a few weeks ago."

He smirks. "More Kamen Yaiba than Magical Girl, huh? But seriously, you have a curfew? You've gotta be around my age, surely."

He eyes it curiously. "Looks neat. You built that yourself?"

"Uh... I guess?" He doesn't really know what Kamen Yaiba is-or he doesn't know if he does or not. "But at the same time, I don't think there's a fictional character like me-I don't just fight crime-I help everyone that needs it." This includes getting cats out trees, giving people directions and maybe even carrying some groceries.

"No-I mean, I made the first version-but Mr Stark-uh my Mentor-made this version. It's got like five hundred seventy six different web shooter combinations 'cause Mr Stark is the king of extra."

"Helping people is good." But aw man, this guy sounds like a goody-two shoes. Hopefully he'll be closer to the chibi tantei than to stick-up-his-ass Hakuba.

"That sounds..." cool "Excessive? Are you honestly going to need em all?"

"Yeah, Ben-uh My Uncle, used to always think that you should always help someone in need 'cause you might be the only one that does." Peter says, his voice suddenly changing to something more nervous as starts to fidget tapping his fingers together.

"Probably not." He admits, glad to focus on a different subject. "I mean-I haven't even used half of them. And yeah-like I said, he's the king of extra. But like... in a super good way."

"Your uncle sounds like a pretty good guy."

He eyes the webshooters interestedly.

"Well, I suppose that way your backups will have backups, I guess. As a magician, I can respect that - goodness knows it helps to always have a backup plan!"

"Yeah." Peter agrees with a nod and maybe a small sniffle. Maybe. "He was."

He pushes the thought of Uncle Ben aside for now. That's a little too deep for new friends. Kaito doesn't need to know about his often times depressing life.

"Anyways, it's really cool that you're a magician. If you can come up with some tricks, you could probably do a whole show for the train-it gets really boring on here and everyone would probably really appreciate the entertainment."

Kaito notes the sniffle, but leaves it alone. None of his business, after all.

"It'd be pretty awesome, but I'm lacking most of my gear." He sighs. "I don't even have my smoke bombs!"
