Mod Announcement.
Greetings all!
You may have noticed the ICP thread here (cw: mentions of torture, violence and a link to a thread that contains a murder).
The message was broadcast to most of the train. If you are happy with your character seeing/reacting to this post then please continue and have fun!
For those who are not wishing their characters to witness this there are some options:
First off if you wish them to have seen the announcement but not the subsequent murder- the illusion image of the murder is silent and so if your character turned away, left the screen, closed their eyes, etc they can have missed that part.
If you do not wish your character to have seen this announcement at all. There are a few options.
~ There is no ICP in the quiet coaches.
~ If they are watching a film in the cinema the ICP will not interrupt it.
~ Though it shows in the common area it will not show in all the individual cabins (bedrooms) (note: if you have had your character react from a cabin don't worry too much about it, but this option gives as many characters who wish to a chance to opt out of seeing the announcement and subsequent video.)
Remember the ICP saves no videos or voice posts and so there is no way for any character to see it 'after the fact' as it were.
I would like to take this time to remind all players of the importance of using content warnings for darker themes, NSFW posts and graphic violence.
Though darker themes are allowed in Voidtrecker and there will be darker themes in missions and in the meta plot it is important we all make sure there is always an option for other players to opt out of violent or graphic plots they may not feel comfortable with or opt out certain characters with who they don't want to explore such themes with.
I am always happy to help in plotting to make sure plots and ideas can be run whilst ensuring everyone is able to play within their comfort levels.
