Backdated organised efforts during language disarray!

Hello, everyone! So during the language (intentional!?) malfunction, Tidus approached Gyousou ([personal profile] eyeslikeblood) and Taiki ([personal profile] longforgottenpromise) to attempt help people find those of a similar language to one another, noting down their known languages and also potentially sorting out activities so that there was a distracting during the latter day and people didn't feel so lonely/stressed.

Since the event is already over and I'm sure many of us have had our fill our language shenanigans, I wanted to put together a handwaved collection of character languages but also, for those who would have helped out -- if they're a cheat who can speak all languages and could have helped speak to people, or they knew some of the more popular languages (Japanese, English?) and would have been able to help organise any activities, it could be fun just to note here! o7

So if your character would have shared their name and their known languages, you can jot that down here. While it may not be too useful now for CR opportunities, maybe you can handwave having being around those who comment in here?

As for activities, if anyone would have stepped up and gotten people involved in any less talk necessary activities (or perhaps with the more popular languages, a game of twenty questions, anyone?), some of the easier to follow sports games, baking, etc. etc. Even simple card games!

And of course, if anyone had any abilities they believed may have helped during the fiasco and may have been able to make their lives easier, please feel free to share! o7
Shared IC Languages:
    Taiki (12 Kingdoms) - Translate-all
    Saku Gyousou (12 Kingdoms) - Translate-all
Nita (Young Wizards) - English, the Speech (translate-all)
Tidus (FFX) - Canon specific (Spiran, Al Bhed)
Inigo (Fire Emblem) - Canon specific
Xion (Kingdom Hearts) - Canon specific
    Najaran (Culdcept) - Canon specific
Khary (Black Jewels) - Canon specific, Eyrian, the old tongue; mental communication
Webmind (WWW) - Planet Earth languages
Spark (Dominic Deegan) - English, French, a little Mandarin, a little Japanese, some Orcish
Conan (Detective Conan) - English, Japanese
Danny (Danny Phantom) - English, Esperanto, Purpleback Gorilla and maybe some high school Spanish
    Madoka (Magic Puella) - Japanese
    Fëanor (The Silmarillion) - Quenya
    Nerdanel (The Silmarillion) - Quenya
    Curufin (The Silmarillion) - Quenya
    Fingon (The Silmarillion) - Quenya
    Glorfindel (The Silmarillion) - Quenya

Nita would have shared her primary languages (English, the Speech), as well as that she knows a bit of Spanish.

And, of course, helped translate a bunch! As would Webmind, who knows more-or-less all Earth-based languages (inasmuch as they exist on OUR Earth - which means a handful of languages that only exist in fiction and have fandoms studying them, natch).

Yes!

And also yes; the train managed to compact all of a world's Internet into one robot!

Conan would have offered to translate between English and Japanese.

Danny... unfortunately his languages are English, Esperanto, Purpleback Gorilla and maybe some high school Spanish. He'd offer to translate, but pretty sure he was the only Esperanto speaker on the train.

Madoka would have shared that she knows Japanese, and Inigo would have shared that he knows.. whatever language they speak over in his world I'M NOT MAKING THE EXECUTIVE DECISION ON WHAT IT'S CALLED, OKAY.

Alice wouldn't have shared unless someone she likes encourages her to do so because she's Edgy I guess.

Clearly it is Inigolian

My characters if approached in person would have shared information as best they could. The problem is that for many of them their primary languages is never named. How would you like me to handle that?

Xion would only have answered if sought out. For my others -

Naja - canon specific. (Same for Goligan and all her summons.)

Khary - Canon specific, Eyrian, The old tounge. (Also if you are noting it, he can communicate mentally with humans, demi-humans and any animal who can communicate mentally intrinsically.

Spark - canon specific, English, French, a little Mandarin, a little Japanese, some Orcish. I.... think that is it for him.... Edit: Oh, probably a small amount of infernal. He keeps living with geeks who learn EVERYTHING okay?

Canon is unclear, but since he can use it to speak with horses and dogs and wolves and cats and unicorns, going to go with yes.

Here's the list that Quinn made and several people edited (not me, I don't take credit for this masterpiece, I just dragged it here from VT discord).

Having said that... Fëanor wants that list Tidus! For no sinister aims, only research purposes.

And yes, languages, he speaks Quenya.

Good point!

Then Fëanor would definitely share who speaks his language on the train (that would be all the Middle-Earth elves: Fëanor, Nerdanel, Curufin, Fingon, Glorfindel). And most likely direct Tidus to Curufin and Glorfindel, both of whom know a few more languages.

Awesome idea! Council and Team leaders. It would be really helpful next time something breaks.

Late AF, but I have it that Cassie speaks English, Cantonese, Japanese, and Mandarin, listed in order of fluency. Nothing in canon exactly confirms this, but multilingualism is a requirement for the Special Forces in real life, and I can't imagine her not learning these considering she has to work with ninjas, Shaolin monks, and the like.
