Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!

Training Gym

Fight club have finally gotten a gym to train in. Train carriages make strange gyms, long narrow spaces. But this has mats, balance beams, climbing apparatus. Pads and training dummies for punching. It also has large blocks that look a little like what you might find in a children's play centre but can be used to make obstacle courses or provide cover in training exercises.

Set up a course, practice fighting or try and learn how to throw a punch! There are plenty who will help, people who take training super seriously and let's face it, people who want to ambush others from behind oversized foam blocks.

Games

For those for whom fighting is not an idea of fun, or those wanting more relaxation, the games carriage has a whole collection of different games. Board games, card games, dice games. There are many games about trains but they aren't the only type.

There are low tables in the carriage to set a game up on and plenty of beanbags and cushions to sit on. Grab a game, grab a friend or a complete stranger and get playing!

Water Maze

The latest mission has taken the voidtreckers to an underwater maze. They have been given wet suits, helmets and breathing apparatus- lightweight boxes that strap to their back, connect to their helmet and filter air from the water. A powerful and dangerous artifact has been stolen and the race is on to get it back before it is used for ill.

Team One

Plenty of monsters and foes have been sent to try and retrieve the item. Giant crabs, strange eels. Even people with fish tails and the ability to breathe underwater. All are dangerous foes and fighting underwater is difficult.

But team one are the vanguard, keeping the monster levels low to allow team two to push on through the maze.

Team Two

Hopefully team one will deal with the monsters, but the odd one might sneak through. Team two's main job is to solve the maze, because the thief is in the centre in order to perform his ritual.

It's a race against time, the maze is made of coral and walls of seaweed that are impossible to cut through. Solving it requires a quick mind and some determined swimming.

Team Three

For those not wishing to brave the water, or those whose skills lie more in helping others. The island where the artefact was stolen from needs help. The temple was ransacked and some of the islanders were injured. Help them fix their homes, put the temple back to rights, tend to the injured.

Cleaning the temple is a big job, but hopefully by the time the artefact has been retrieved it will be able to be restored to it's rightful place.

"Plenty of different types of heroes here. A few would be villians too. But all the teams have different jobs. So why would they all train the same? I'm sure someone would help you with some archery things if you asked."

She swings her bag over her shoulder.

"But don't worry about me. I'm perfectly fine not being the punch and kick type."

everyone else has picked games but it's JUST SO CUTE so I'm doing it too

[ Wen Ning has been slowly acclimating himself to the train. It helps that he has friends and family here to help him adjust, help him learn the ins and outs of all the train has to offer.

One of the first things he tried were the odd looking sack chairs in the games room. He found them unsettling, and uncomfortable. Too soft, like it was sucking him down and he would never be able to break free.

So of course, when he passes the games room and sees someone else struggling with one, he can't help but want to lend a hand. ]

Oh, uh, excuse me... Are you stuck?

Villains? Daine didn't like the sound of that. She'd had her fill of villains and if she could avoid them she would be more than happy.

"By that same token, why would they train only a few?" She asked and made a brief gesture toward the training area. "I can't see that place being for everyone." She gave a little huff and turned away from it, annoyed. "I'm perfectly fine that way myself. But it looks like that's all there is here."

"Well most people with magic of some sort either don't feel the need to practice or they do it elsewhere. But I don't really know what else you need beyond some archery targets? I think there's knives somewhere in here."

That's all Artemis needs and she's a star archer. But maybe there's something she's not seeing here. Mortals tend to need more things.

"If you need a bow, I can try to get a few trees going for you."

She sighs, unable to really argue. "Yeah," she agrees.

[ Why is he not surprised? He's violently jerked as this eel resists death as dramatically as possible, sputtering as he tries to hold on. ]

It shouldn't take much longer before it dies.

Nyh-

[He's got the sneaking suspicion he could have handled that better.

...a lot better, if the sad pony sound and the following sound of it trotting after her instead of sticking behind means anything.] Awww geeze-

Oi! Oi, oi- [he calls, chasing after as well.] I jus'-

I couldn't help but ask I mean...tha' bit wasn' scary or anythin', jus'...

[He's digging a hole, but the hole keeps going unfortunately.] ...ghosts scare th' shit outta me alrigh', I... ...jus' had t' ask...

[The blond looks away, and to the ground, face heating with shame. Kaseri at least, is probably a more welcome distraction- hey! Come back nice lady! :[]

No, 'Koach'! [He shouts back, a very faint difference of inflection on the air. The blond climbs up a bit on the face, slowly getting himself in range of the thing's eye.

It doesn't appreciate this, especially now that it knows something is wrong.]

HAH-!

[Punching it in the eye probably doesn't help, but it's at least stunned for a second and stunned means not moving.]

Right. Big difference, I'm sure.

[ But they have bigger things to worry about, so he wrenches the sword out, drags it through again, and stabs a few times just for good measure. He's breathing hard as he bats the chunks away...yeah, underwater this isn't pleasant. ]

[ She pauses a moment when she hears the little pony following behind her, though hesitates a bit as he follows. His explanation does actually help a bit, though. ]

...It's okay. I should remember that not everyone has experience with that kind of thing.

[ Kneeling down, she starts petting Kaseri again. ]

But to answer your question, no, I'm not a ghost. I can just phase through things.

[jou voice] `as long as there are no angry screams and tearing me to shreds-`

[Immediately, his head snaps toward Kitty.] Oh tha's it?

[This is probably not the reaction expected.] I mean, tha's pretty cool actually!

...

I jus' have bad 'xperiences w' ghosts, [he mutters, looking down again.] Er... ....Sorry 'bout tha' though. Doesn' really. Make the freakin' out feel great, I guess...

Are you thinking of apping?

Zuko huffs. He'll make sure she has earth, if he has to firebend people away from the greenhouse. Obviously, he doesn't care if they're put out by her needing time in there, just so she can see. People will just have to get over it, or they can talk to him. While he can't 'bend much, he doesn't need to to kick someone's butt.

He glances over his shoulder at her, and gently nudges her in the right direction when she almost runs into something. Nothing he wouldn't do for anybody else, obviously.

He slides open the door to the greenhouse car and looks around. No one. Good. He's not in the mood to deal with people being cranky about what he feels is right. He finds a place to sit and leans his head back against one of the flower boxes. "My 'bending doesn't work on this train." He admits. "It's not as bad as an eclipse, but it might as well be."

There is..! [He insists.] 'Koach' means-

[He trails off, looking down at the eel a moment- and then back to Kaiba as he nods.] Er...Y...yeah, yeah I figure so...

[He punches the eye again for good measure.] ...Kinda feels like y' did all th' heavy liftin here 'f I'm honest...

"When we were in Ba Sing Se, a large city, Uncle started his own tea shop." He says, finding a place to sit near her. "It.. was a place of peace. I enjoyed it there." He admits, softly. He'd enjoyed it, right until Jet and then Azula had ruined everything. He sighs, watching the water steep. "I miss it sometimes."

You caught its attention and stunned it. If I'd come alone, it would've taken at least a chunk out of me.

[ He takes a breath. ]

Now we have to stop the thief. A much tougher task. And one you're probably better suited for than me, given your experience.

[ It really isn't the reaction she's expecting, but it's a far more pleasant one nonetheless. ]

Uh...thanks. And that's okay. It's not...the worst reaction.

[ She might need to warn Danny about this guy, though. ]

[That...is a good point, maybe, yes, probably.

...Oh and the eel's stopped moving so that's helpful. He kicks off the thing, floating around it and nodding.]

An' th' thief at least 's probably human! [he says with a grin.

With his luck they're super not.]

He pauses, and thinks back to the infamous 'zombie night' at the University.] ...Huh, yeah, guess it wouldn' be... [Sorry about the teeth Prof...]

Mannn now that I know it ain' somethin' like that though, that's really cool tho'! Like a super hero power or somethin'!

[His thing doesn't count, because his thing is entirely uncontrollable and also gets him hurt thanks.]

[ She laughs a bit sheepishly. ] Something like that, I guess?

[ People keep calling it that, but she's still getting used to the idea of it.

Not wanting to be rude, but also not wanting to stop petting Kaseri, she scoops up the tiny horse in her arms again before getting back to her feet. ] My name's Kitty.

[luckydragonsfoot]

[Kaseri definitely doesn't mind.]

Jonouchi! [he answers automatically, before blinking.] ....wai' tha' was yer firs' name wasn'...

[BAHHHHH Whatever.] Eh, Jonouchi's still good.

[That was probably his last name then, evidently.]

[ She's learned a bit of Japanese from some of the other residents on the train, so she realizes that he does mean his last name. ]

It's nice to meet you, Jonouchi.

[ Then she holds up Kaseri, because of course she hasn't forgotten about her. ]

[And now for the best introduction-] Thaaaa's Kaseri!

[At the over-emotive intro, she gives a Very happy cry, mane glowing.]

She's a ponyta. ...Er. G'laran, [he adds with a shrug.] Apparen'ly there's a differen' version tha's on fire 'r somethin'.

Kaseri's jus' psychic tho', heals things 'n stuff.

He gave a small laugh at the kid and his pride. Pride was all well and good so long as you didn't let it overshadow common sense. "Never turn your nose up at learning all the different ways to protect yourself and those you serve just because you think that you have one better. There is no reason to limit your own effectiveness," he said, clearly quoting a lesson, but one he believed in. He was also smirking. "I don't mind restricting magic to only shields, however, and go without weapons. It is unrealistic, but if you feel the need to be put in the dirt that way," he shrugged, hands in his pockets, "I can accept that. Just won't be as much of a workout."

He caught the grimace and grinned as if it had been applause. He even offered some underwater bowing, before following the other.

"Hey, we make a good team!" he said, coming close. "And we match!" he said happily pointing to the odd patches around his own eye. "Um,. normally there would be fire, but this ocean thing is kind of a wet blanket..."

Bonus pun for Quilt, the person whose form he had copied. He missed Quilt. A lot.

"Ah well," he said. "I have been told that there is someone here who makes weapons, but I have yet to find who that is. I do have some Eyrian fighting sticks, however, if you would care to learn a new form until we can regain our bows."
