June Information and CR Meme
I hope everyone had a fun month! Some information for your ongoing journey.
IC Month
This month is the month of Fiddlesticks. Days can be found here.
The thought of the month is “A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.”
This means: Every thread in May or June where your character learns, or is learning something new will be worth 2 team points. This might be learning something new about a friend, learning a new skill or learning something about the train or a world.
Threads that fulfill this criterial can be submitted during June AC. You may find it easier to keep a tracking list of threads for easy compiling of bonus AC!
Recipes are here. The key ingredient this month is bacon. All the ingredients can be found in the storeroom and characters are welcome to make other food with them.
This months chore assignments are:
Purple: Cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas
Red: Meal Preparation
Orange: Laundry
Blue: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms
The Train.
As the month moves through the month of Fiddlesticks the train will stop to pick up new passengers. When everyone rejoins the train they will find a new gym!
This carriage is very similar to carriage C. A long narrow space walled off from the corridor. The cupboard however is not filled with balls. Instead it has mats, soft hand held pads for training with, training dummies and even some balancing beams. It also has large blocks that look a little like what you might find in a children's play centre but can be used to make obstacle courses or provide cover in training exercises. There are two climbing apparatus next to the wall that can be swung out to create a climbing frame.
All of this has been updated on the setting. Remember to let me know if your character does anything to alter the setting!
Important Dates
This month event will be an on train event From the 12th to the 13th June. A plotting post will go up on 10th June.
Reserves will open 18th June with a TDM going up on the 15th June. Apps are between 22nd June and 29th June. AC will run 22nd June to 29th June.
Other Info
~ We now have a character initiative page. This is for any character or player driven things, such as new organisations, new IC publications and other services that are player/character driven.
~ We now have two types of network.
The ICPs are on the train, there is one in every carriage and one in each cabin. Characters can communicate with voice or video to either the whole train or to one carriage. There is no back catalogue of posts and no text option (there is one in the works and only those characters who can interface with the ICPs have access so far- their text posts can be seen by all but only replied to in video or voice). At its heart it is a slightly fancy tannoy system.voidtreckernet is the place for network posts on the train.
The SCAs on missions now have voice communications enabled. These are active from when the voidtreckers first get their mission briefs to when they return to the void at the end of the mission. They can speak to all, to team or to individual. Please see here for more information. Those with phones or other devices that can connect can assume that they have linked up by next mission. Even with these devices they can only access this feature on missions. Each mission will have a comms post for interactions over the SCAs.
Both of these are big open communication systems and it is fair to say conversations are not very private. Some such as the 'speak to all' on the SCA should be a free for all radio style format. But for conversation between two people on the ICP (even if it can be heard by all) please check oocly with participants before threadjacking.

Character: Aziraphale
About them: Aziraphale is an angel, formerly the Guardian of the Eastern Gate for the Garden of Eden, and may or may not be responsible for them actually leaving the Garden. Possibly. He's been on Earth since it's creation 6000 years ago, on a mission to foment good and lead souls into salvation. Thing is, humans kind of do their own thing, and he also kind of does his own thing, and so for all of this time, he's been sort of making sure his superiors don't know he's halfassing his mostly needless job and hanging out with his opposing agent from Hell. And then the world was almost ended and lots of nasty things went down, but it turned out okay, because humans are great.
Before the train, he was in another game/world - Life Aftr, where he spent 7 miserable months nearly powerless, almost dying at one point, having to use a sword again, and
adoptingbeing followed by a strange little animal (which accompanied him to this world too), THAT world was set to end. But he popped out before that happened. Now he's here.Plans: He's going to be settling into train life first! He's got precedent to know there's people from a billion different universes, so he's okay on that front. He's certainly going to be eating and haunting the library and such. Once he knows he can just GET books, he's gonna do his darnest to get points to buy them. Also at some point he's going to try to cook, so you may find him in the kitchen.
He also doesn't sleep, so, safe for having to wake up in his bed in the morning, he'll just be wandering about most of the time.
Also, he apologizes for Ferdinand the wobbledog. It's a thing. He's going to be around and probably around Aziraphale and/or Crowley most of the time, but it's also going to just be set loose on the train because Aziraphale is a terrible pet owner.
CR wanted: ALL OF IT. Roommates specially, but I want all of the shenanigans!

If he ever wonders why there are so many mystery novels in the train library, this not-kid is to blame. He keeps spending all of his points on them. (Conan also has complaints re: the train shop because it randomly refuses to bring a specific title and substitutes it with something similar.)
