To be honest, I always just run with it since Disney version runs so close to the book. So he's welcome to know her on the spot and if he calls her princess she'll just get blushy as hell and think he's being nice.

He probably wouldn't know her on the spot; I don't think he's ever really seen what any of the Princesses- aside from Kairi- look like. If/when she mentions Wonderland though, he'll almost certainly make the connection.
