Crisis On… A Ship!

The train has a game carriage and the VR video games are always popular. A good way to relive boredom as well as teaching some good skills.

Crisis on...This game can be played with two to four players. It is essentially a crisis simulator mixed with an escape room. You can chose the scenario (the bridge of a space ship, a camp in a jungle, a high rise building, a sailing ship etc) and you are thrown into the middle of a crisis of some kind. Teamwork and a cool head are important as is using the surroundings wisely.

Ahoy there! You and your small crew are on board a sailing ship in the middle of an ocean. But you are being chased by an enemy ship and there’s a storm brewing! There are many roles for you to chose from and different puzzles and problems to be solved. Batten down the hatches, flee the enemy ships and if necessary man the canons! Bring yourselves and your crew to harbour safely.

Dressing up

The upcoming mission is one in space and the void treckers have been told to blend in. The dressing room has been opened and what awaits them looks like it walked out of a old science fiction film. Shoulder pads, metalic colours. Everything over the top, ridiculous and not practical at all.

Yet the mission brief said to fit in. So swallow your pride and try and find outfits that aren’t too ridiculous. Or go all out and make the most of it, it’s not every day you can wear elaborate outfits after all.

Space Battle

As perhaps the outfits had suggested this world is an odd one, the outfits given to the voidtreckers make them some of the most subtle dressed people in the space city. Big, bold and loud. But the crisis is clear, an enemy force attacking this city filled with non combatants and children.

Team One

Space fighting time! The space ships are designed for two so voidtreckers will need a partner. There’s not much time to train so it will be mostly learning on the job, but it’s fine. The voidtreckers job is mostly to make up numbers, to split the enemy’s focus whilst those that know how to pilot go in to defeat the enemy.

Team Two

The problem with space battles is, there are a lot of injuries and a lot of damaged space ships. The space city is not one that has a large military so damaged ships need to be fixed as quickly as possible.

Help out the engineers. It might be the voidtreckers know a little about repairing ships themselves but even if they don’t, extra pairs of hands are always useful.

Team Three

This city is loud, bustling and full of life. But with the battle raging outside everyone needs to stay safe. Help people get to shelters. Clear the streets and begin the evacuation, though hopefully a full evacuation won’t be needed.

Space Disco

Enemies vanquished, this city does what it apparantly does best. That is, party. The music is way too loud, different songs out of each building, people dance in the streets, lights flash far too fast. There is strange street food to try, new dances to learn and a victory to celebrate.

That took all the wind out of his sails, and he let out a long sigh, sizing Nico up for a few long seconds. "Idiot," he said softly, shaking his arm out of Nico's grip, so he could grab his hand instead. "You already understand me," he pulls the hand up, kissing Nico's fingers since his knuckles were still covered. "But we're gonna have to sort some shit out, because I do not remember punching you there," he places a palm gently over a bruise. "Not recently enough for it to still be this dark, anyway."

"Do I?" he said softly, some of the tension draining from his shoulders. He felt like he was still missing something, a puzzle piece that would make everything clear. But maybe he already had all of the pieces and he just couldn't figure out where they went.

"I don't know why you don't remember," he said, tipping his face gently into Blaine's hand. "And we're going to have to talk about the whole beating each other up, thing."

He sighs heavily, leaning in to kiss Nico gently. "How about we just stop doing that," he suggests. "I only did it to keep up appearances once I knew it was you. Otherwise it would've been a dead giveaway. Vicious vigilante beats everyone up except that one guy. If that doesn't scream gay, I don't know what does," he snorts.

Nico's heart fluttered, despite the fact that they'd just been arguing, and what Nico had recently found out. "Yeah, that's what I was going to suggest. I don't think I could...keep doing this if we kept fighting." Physically, at least. He could handle the verbal fighting a lot better, though he hoped that lessened, too.

"I did try to ease up after I figured out it was you," he replies softly, headbutting Nico gently. "But if you're looking for a workout, I bet I can still beat you in a spar," and now he was grinning.

His smile was a little watery, and after a moment he wrapped his arms around Blaine, tucking his face against his shoulder. Was it really this easy? Could they just...go back to normal after everything that had happened? He wasn't sure they'd had a proper talk about it, but...what else was there to say? "Are we...are we okay?" he asked quietly.

Blaine's arms curled around him naturally, pressing his cheek to Nico's hair. "Yeah," he replies quietly. "At least until we run into someone worth fighting." There wasn't likely to be someone like that on the train, anyway, so it was probably going to be a while before they needed to have that sorted out, anyway.

Nico took a deep breath, pressing a gentle kiss to Blaine's shoulder. "Maybe we can...reach a compromise," he suggested. There had to be middle ground they could agree on, couldn't there? If he could persuade Blaine that not every criminal or 'terrible' person needed to die, then that alone would be progress. As for being convinced that sometimes murder was the right option...well, they could cross that hurdle when they came to it.

That got a snort. "I'm pretty sure 'never kill again' isn't really a compromise," he replies, but he's not outright rejecting it, so maybe it's a step in the right direction. "Besides, we don't even know what kind of things this place is going to ask of us. Maybe I won't need to." Or maybe they'll be in situations where it's socially acceptable. Like war.

"I wasn't going to suggest that," he said. As much as he'd like to. He didn't know how Blaine could do what he did, how all of the blood on his hands didn't weigh on his conscience, but he also knew better than to ask, because those kinds of questions came with some serious implications.

"I was thinking more like 'only killing when we have no other choice' or something." But Blaine was right. Maybe he wouldn't have to kill in this place. That was a nice thought.

"I know you," he reminds, shaking his head a little and letting Nico free of the hug finally. "If you could get me to give up the mask right now, you'd do it... and I'd do the same, honestly, but I know you can't do it," the urge to protect was too strong in both of them, even if their methods differed considerably.

Smiling sadly, Nico brushed Blaine's hair away from his face to kiss his forehead. "I wouldn't make you give up the mask," he said softly. "I just wish we could work together." Agreeing on things, doing things the same way, but he knew that was a little unlikely. And maybe, just maybe, there was a tiny part of him that wished Blaine would give up the mask, if only so he'd be safer, but. Nico knew it was as important to Blaine as it was to him.

"Well, we're making a start, aren't we? Now that we both know... the only thing I've ever been afraid of has happened, and you're still here with me, so what else is there, but finding a way to keep you with me?" He shook his head a little, his curls bouncing around his temples. "If that means working with you, following your rules, I can at least try." A little bit.

It was progress, yeah. Smiling still, Nico looked down for a moment. "I'd never leave you over something like this." Maybe if he hadn't had his own secret too, things would have been a lot different. But he was able to understand where Blaine was coming from, why he did the things he did. "I mean, finding out we're both out there, fighting crime." The other part, the part where Blaine killed people... that was going to take some getting used to, still.

"It'd mean a lot to me though, if could try doing things my way." Like Blaine had just said.

"I will, I will," he insists with a sigh. "Besides, we don't even know if we're going to be doing that sort of thing any time soon... though I won't be inclined to show much mercy if we get our hands on whoever's responsible. I'm not a fan of being kidnapped, even if I have you for company."

"Thank you." He couldn't force Blaine; the most he could do was argue and suggest and persuade, but it was better if Blaine tried on his own, willingly.

"We also don't know their reasons for kidnapping us," he added. "Or what or who we're dealing with." Maybe they were really confused about the concept of consent and not kidnapping people, or...maybe they were a horrible person, but that wouldn't really make sense when they were here to 'help' people. "But, I mean. I don't like being kidnapped either."

Blaine hummed in agreement. "Yeah, this definitely seems more like something I'd pull than an idea you'd cook up," in fact, it was starting to give him ideas for when they returned home. "I can't complain too much, if we're together."

"That's kinda the opposite of what I'd been implying, but." He shrugged a shoulder. Ideas were sometimes not good, especially if they were Blaine's ideas. "Yeah, I'd be a lot more upset if I was here alone." But this way he had Blaine with him, and he didn't have to worry about things like missing him.

"I'm not saying I've kidnapped people or anything," he replies with a shake of his head. "And if you think you're ever going to shake me again, you've got another thing coming," he flashed a grin.

"I didn't think that you had! I just meant...we could be dealing with someone who has everyone's best interests in mind, or...something." He didn't know how that meshed with kidnapping people, but he also wasn't ready to immediately brand their kidnapper as a terrible person. "Besides that, I don't want to shake you, so." Except literally, sometimes, when Blaine frustrated him.
