Test Drive Meme 011
1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!
2. Assume they have been around long enough for threads to jump right into the action!
3. Have much fun!
Happy testing!
Crisis On… A Ship!
The train has a game carriage and the VR video games are always popular. A good way to relive boredom as well as teaching some good skills.
Crisis on...This game can be played with two to four players. It is essentially a crisis simulator mixed with an escape room. You can chose the scenario (the bridge of a space ship, a camp in a jungle, a high rise building, a sailing ship etc) and you are thrown into the middle of a crisis of some kind. Teamwork and a cool head are important as is using the surroundings wisely.
Ahoy there! You and your small crew are on board a sailing ship in the middle of an ocean. But you are being chased by an enemy ship and there’s a storm brewing! There are many roles for you to chose from and different puzzles and problems to be solved. Batten down the hatches, flee the enemy ships and if necessary man the canons! Bring yourselves and your crew to harbour safely.
Dressing up
The upcoming mission is one in space and the void treckers have been told to blend in. The dressing room has been opened and what awaits them looks like it walked out of a old science fiction film. Shoulder pads, metalic colours. Everything over the top, ridiculous and not practical at all.
Yet the mission brief said to fit in. So swallow your pride and try and find outfits that aren’t too ridiculous. Or go all out and make the most of it, it’s not every day you can wear elaborate outfits after all.
Space Battle
As perhaps the outfits had suggested this world is an odd one, the outfits given to the voidtreckers make them some of the most subtle dressed people in the space city. Big, bold and loud. But the crisis is clear, an enemy force attacking this city filled with non combatants and children.
Team One
Space fighting time! The space ships are designed for two so voidtreckers will need a partner. There’s not much time to train so it will be mostly learning on the job, but it’s fine. The voidtreckers job is mostly to make up numbers, to split the enemy’s focus whilst those that know how to pilot go in to defeat the enemy.
Team Two
The problem with space battles is, there are a lot of injuries and a lot of damaged space ships. The space city is not one that has a large military so damaged ships need to be fixed as quickly as possible.
Help out the engineers. It might be the voidtreckers know a little about repairing ships themselves but even if they don’t, extra pairs of hands are always useful.
Team Three
This city is loud, bustling and full of life. But with the battle raging outside everyone needs to stay safe. Help people get to shelters. Clear the streets and begin the evacuation, though hopefully a full evacuation won’t be needed.
Space Disco
Enemies vanquished, this city does what it apparantly does best. That is, party. The music is way too loud, different songs out of each building, people dance in the streets, lights flash far too fast. There is strange street food to try, new dances to learn and a victory to celebrate.
Sleepy Ash | Servamp
[Maru stood staring at the clothes within the dressing room. A brief moment of panic crossed his features before they closed off.]
.... Nope.
[He turned around, fully intending to go back to bed. Why had he been bothered and made to come and look at clothes that he wouldn't wear in a hundred million years? It was such a pain...]
Space Battle: Team Three -
[Space... Cats didn't belong in space. They didn't belong in space ships or fixing space ships and they definitely didn't belong in crowded cities full of people who should have been indoors or running for the hills, instead they were milling about like nothing was happening.
Maru might have gotten annoyed at this, had he been someone else.
As it was he was huddled close by where they had been dropped off, a small, black cat trying not to be noticed.
And doing a damn fine job of it all things considered!]
Space Disco:
[How they'd won, Maru had no idea. But somehow they had (no thanks to him, probably) and now things were back to normal.
Or as normal as a weird alien planet could get.
It was loud.
The people were weird.
The food was okay though.
Maru sat away from most of the party, as far away from the noise as he could get but still able to find food if and when he needed it.
He sat cross legged on a table munching on something that looked like a bread roll but kind of tasted like chocolate. It was nice.]
[ooc: "Maru" is the new name of Sleepy Ash (Kuro) from the manga/anime Servamp.]
Space Battle
But for the moment she stepped off, eyes looking around and simply checking where one should first start off.
Once she had her eye on an area she was about to head off she couldn't help but notice something or someone that stood out just a tiny bit. Soon she walked over and knelt down.]
Are you lost?
no subject
Maru opened his eyes a little to peer up at the... did she have wings?
He blinked. Then realised he was probably supposed to answer. Was he lost? Not really... He knew where he was. He just didn't want to be there.]
No... Not exactly...
[A kitty who could speak? Or not a kitty at all.]
no subject
Not exactly lost, but you need to be somewhere, right? We can take you to the shelter and make sure you are safe.
no subject
... But Madoka would pout at him.
The mission was important. For some reason.]
I'm waiting... But I want to be back inside... But I can't.
There is a mission.
no subject
[It was like working together, right? Once she managed to find a few more people at least.]
no subject
He supposed he could... if he didn't go too far...
He looked around to see if he could spot Madoka, but she must have still been with her dads.]
I suppose... for a little while.
But then I have to come back.
Madoka will be upset.
no subject
[Two birds with one stone and all that. But with the other kneeling down she held her arms out. if the other wanted to be picked up she was more than willing to carry him for the time being.]
Now let's get moving, or do you want to walk?
dressing up
[ Unfortunately escape doesn't seem to be quite as easy for him today.. Since the moment he's turning around and trying to walk back out of the room happens to be the exact same moment Madoka is walking into the room. And of course she's immediately moving to scoop the cat up into her arms. Usually she'd be a little more shy about it, but.. well, this is her kitty. If she doesn't have scooping rights, then who does? ]
We should look at the clothes, you know. We don't know for sure if you'll have to be in human form at some point for some reason, so it's better to be prepared. [ Aka yes, he's going to have to try on the ridiculous clothes too. ]
no subject
Damn.
He was picked up and didn't struggle. Why would he? Being picked up meant he didn't have to use his own legs and that was always a plus.
Maru gave a noncommittal sound and looked up at Madoka with a slightly pleading look in his big, sorrowful/sleepy eyes]
Bed would be better... Maybe we could have a nap? Wouldn't that be better?
[Maybe there was more than a little hope in his voice. The thought of dressing up in silly clothes was such a pain...]
no subject
Honestly, if it was up to Madoka she would most definitely just bring him back to bed and tuck him in and let him nap as much as he'd want. But this isn't up to Madoka. There's a mission to be done, and she knows that if they don't take their chance to prepare now, they won't be able to prepare at all. And she really doesn't want to put either of them in unnecessary danger. ]
We really have to do this though..
[ At least she doesn't sound forceful about it. This is Madoka, after all. It sounds more like she's pleading with Maru in turn. (Which would probably look so weird to anyone else walking in, since she's literally pleading to a cat here..) ]
Ah.. What about this? You know, the more quickly we're done here, the longer you can nap before the mission begins!
no subject
He felt a little bad knowing Madoka would have to say no to him. So he rolled in his hands a little and started to purr, soothing her by being the cutest damn kitty he could be]
... Just till the mission is over. Then things can go back to normal?
[Normal being napping, eating and following after Madoka to keep her safe of course. She was his Eve after all.]
no subject
Of course. [ It's not like she's ever going to stop him from napping as much as he wants as long as there's time for it. Especially if he's worked to earn it. ] And until then..
[ She holds him a bit further away from her again, if not just so she can properly look him in his adorable sleepy kitty eyes. ]
.. you know I'm really grateful to you for helping me out with this, right?
no subject
So you better believe he was purring!
And still purring when she moved him away and he was able to look at her, head tilted a bit he gave her thumb a bit of a nuzzle, because why not? Being a cute kitty came with cute kitty perks and he knew it made Madoka smile.
But when she said things like that... it made it really hard to be lazy...]
I know... Which is why I don't really mind helping you... Since it's you.
no subject
Still, she meant it. She really is grateful he manages to slip out of laziness just long enough to be able to actually do stuff on these missions. ]
Well.. I'll try to do my best to be worth that help.
[ Not that Maru technically has much of a choice since he has to do what she says, but Madoka is very much not the commanding type. This is a cooperation kind of deal! ]
Here, I'll put you down so you can change forms, okay? It's going to be hard to fit anything like this, after all.. [ He's too small!
And true to her word, she does put him down a moment later - although Madoka's making sure to do it as close to the clothes as possible. So he doesn't have to walk. She's considerate. ]
no subject
Not that he would have. No, he chose Madoka.
And he chose to do as she said. It was easier that way, to let someone else make the decisions for him.
Luckily Madoka didn't seem to mind all that much.
When he was set down on the ground he looked up at her for a moment, and then in a poof of blue smoke the kitten vanished and in it's place was a lanky teen with light blue hair, deep red eyes with heavy, sleepy lids.]
... Do I really have to wear these things? They're so... bright.
no subject
But maybe it's something about his constant low energy that makes Madoka want to overcompensate by presenting everything they're about to do as Fun. No matter how weird the outfits are. ]
They're not all bad, right..?
[ She looks through the racks, pulling out an outfit with way oversized shoulderpads. Would someone even fit through a doorway wearing that? ]
Don't you like this one? It'll make you look like a real space hero..!
no subject
[Maru turned from where he had been looking to see what Madoka had picked for him. And all he could see where shoulderpads. He blinked. Then another slow blink and he looked at Madoka to see if she was joking or not.]
... You expect me to be able to fight? In that?
Maybe without those... [He nodded to the shoulderpads]
no subject
.. ah. Right, it might be a problem in battle, huh..
[ She frowns in thought, putting the outfit back on the rack before looking through more of them. ]
So many of them seem to have those though! I don't think any of these look good for battle. They're all so big..
no subject
[That's what he'd been told after all. He'd rather not. He didn't much like it, but these missions were important to protect people.
Like a hero, Madoka had said.
And he thought maybe, maybe he could be a hero for Madoka.]
... Hmm... I could just be a cat? No one would notice?
[But then he noticed a blue jacket. Not quite like the one he was used to, it was light blue at the top and faded to dark at the bottom, but he pulled it out to look it over.}
I like this...

"... this is so bothersome I could die..." He muttered under his breath and made a slow turn back to follow where the orange cat was going. Why was everyone against him going back to bed?
no subject
no subject
"Ehh..." He didn't care one way or the other about pirates. Why was this guy talking about pirates anyway? Wasn't this space aliens?
no subject
Well fine then. Spark found another thing to use as an eye patch and carried it back in his mouth and then started putting it on the other cat. He will dress the other cat as a pirate if not stopped.
