Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

Greenhouse

The newest carriage is a greenhouse.

The ceiling is a dome shape, a single metal beam runs from one end to another, mounted on this beam are large bright lights.

The aisle of grass runs down the middle, from one door to the next. Stone paths branch off around raised beds of soil. Nothing is growing yet but there are crates in which passengers can find a whole host of seeds and bulbs for various flowers.

Plenty for passengers with green fingers to do! Plant some seeds, tend to those they have planted already. Chase away people who have no idea what they are doing! Remind them they have to take the seeds out of the packet first!

If planting is a new thing then the ICP has some handy gardening tips or they can always ask their fellow Voidtreckers!

Sports Balls

For those who prefer their hobbies much more energetic then the gym's cupboard is full of balls. Balls for every sport they can imagine! The space is long and narrow which means a little bit of adapting but there is plenty of fun to be had. Start a game of football, or basket ball.

Make some new friends and get some friendly rivalry going!

Monkey Madness!

It's a strange mission to be sure but the Voidtreckers have been called to help a huge zoo tackle a problem. Every monkey enclosure has been broken open and the creatures have gotten out and into the city, where they are causing mayhem.

Team One

Though the monkeys don't pose much threat to human life they cause quite a big of damage. Team one is to try and get as many businesses and homes safe as possible. Bring things indoors, reinforce doors and windows. Warn those in the city of the incoming horde!

Team Two

Round up the monkeys! The aim is to do this without harming and luckily they have some capture devices, that can be thrown to spring straps around a creature. Bribing them is also encouraged. The city has prepared vans for the creatures to be lured or taken to. Careful though, these monkeys are cunning and mischievous and clever enough to steal the capture devices and throw them back at the Voidtreckers! Who is catching who?

Team Three

Back in the zoo there is plenty to do. First and foremost the enclosures need fixing and reinforced. Also an investigation is underway to figure out what happened and who is responsible. If DIY or investigating work is not in a passengers skill set then there are still many other animals that need fed and cleaned!

Reward time!

Soon all the monkeys are back in their proper homes and the city put back to rights! As a thank you the zoo is handing out free ice cream and a free pass to enjoy the zoo for the day.

[Prim and vain as he is, Dorian is not above getting his hands, or feet, dirty. When he heard there was a place to see animals he'd never experienced before he was more there than, well, no, the library was far more important, but still.

He smiles at her enthusiasm as he passes by. Ah, another person so loved knowledge as much as he did. Marvelous.]

I believe it's some sort of monkey. Surely there's some bit of information nearby?

[And he begins looks around.]

I see! That's one of the animals that was causing so much trouble... it's hard to imagine! It's such a tiny thing!

[ Bryn, who is 5'2'' and the type of person who causes trouble by sitting still and doing nothing, says this without any apparent self-awareness whatsoever. ]

Are there signs somewhere, perhaps? Or an attendant who might be able to tell us what we're looking to know!

[A brief search brings Dorian to a free-standing plaque near the monkey's inclosure and he reads it quickly, smiling.]

Ah ha! Here we are. What we have here is the leontopithecus rosalia, or the Golden Lion Tamarin. They spend all of their lives in the trees, it seems, and if one is ever found on the ground, it is because some other creature, usually a human, put them there. [And he smiles at the brilliantly golden monkey peering at them curiously from its tree.] My but they are adorable, aren't they?

I see! [ She's evidently pleased to have her curiosity sated, going by the big smile on her face as she peers in at the monkeys. ] They're surprisingly fluffy! You'd think they'd want less padding if they live at such high elevation all the time.

[ Don't question the leap of logic, there. You'll just get a headache. ]

For such a little thing, it seems to be quite mischievous! It just has the sort of face that makes you certain it's cooking up trouble.

And why less? [He smiles.] Perhaps they live in colder climates...

[Maker knows he'd want for more padding if he were in a similar situation.]

All monkeys are mischievous. They steal fruit, shiny jewelry. They're adorable until they make off with something you'd rather keep.

Oh, of course! They must, they must. Why else would they grow such a thick coat?

[ She nods to herself like she really nailed it. Elementary. ]

I've never seen anything quite like them where I'm from... but it's a good thing, I suppose! If they're as sticky-fingered as you say, they'd get along quite terribly with the pecula.

There are a few smaller varieties of monkeys in my homeland. [He smiles, and it's a slightly wistful thing. He hasn't been home in a long time, and possibly ever again.]

The bane of all shopkeepers, they are.

Ah, so you're quite knowledgeable already! How lucky for us to have you on our side when we needed to herd them back to safety.

[ Safety for the monkeys or for everyone else? You decide! ]
