I got no problem with spiders. Samata might mistake him for one of the wild monsters that patrol the outlands and murder anyone who tries to step out of their designated homeland. Honestly...she might come to the same conclusion about Piccolo. So that won't be a great first impression.

BUT she needs silver if she wants to make magic items, so I'm sure she'll be able to get over her initial distrust!

...oops. lol. Well, Garrett is used to negative CR by this point. I mean, he is a monster. He did not ask to be a monster. He is horrified of himself tbh. He'll explain if they get past initial bouts of mistrust and horror. And he'll still offer to grab things for people on the train.

Piccolo on the other hand...is not as used to that reaction these days. But it'll be reminiscent of his Demon King days so he'll get over it rather quickly and explain he's actually just an alien species with nothing special or particularly frightening about him. (Except his power levels but shhhh. He just wants to protect people these days.)
