Passenger IC Questionnaire

[ooc: This is a questionnaire that Tony is handing out to everyone on the train both now and in the future. Please answer them IC. Also, thanks to Kinzie for doing the html.]

Congratulations! You’re now on the Void Train and no, that’s not a band name. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

I did. [ He shrugs and grins ]

I used elastic bands first. You can actually throw them with enough velocity if you know what you're doing - I'm not as accurate throwing as I am with the gun though. I've modified it over the years, it's now basically an air gun.

[ He brightens ]

Ooh excellent. Hattori-kun and I have been experimenting but no joy yet.

[Wait, Kaito was still talking and not fetching. He picked up a spoon and tossed it at the boy.]

[He snatches the gun from Kaito's hand but otherwise holds it very respectfully. Examining the gun, he nods in approval.]

Can it do anything else?

Not the gun, no. [ He grins, hands in his pockets ]

I modify my cards, instead. Don't have any of those here, sadly. But I have gas pellets attached to some, so that when the hit something they release smoke. Others are metal edged to give em a bit of a boost. I was working on a 'flash' card too.

What were flash cards going to do?

[He pulled one of the cards out to look at it. It was disappointing to find just a regular card as far as he could tell. Hmm.. how would he help Kaito make cool ammo?]

"Oh, like a flash bomb! Not as bright, obviously, since I wouldn't be able to pack a big charge. Can't quite work out how to do it without unbalancing the card, sadly."

"What if you put chemicals on the cards? You could do it in set of twos so when they collided, they'd create a flash effect." He'd have to think a little more on precisely how that would work, but he'd be willing to give it a try.

"Hm, that could work. But I'm not always going to be able to put two cards in the same place like that. It'd be better if it's impact triggered..."

"You'd have to be careful to make sure those flash cards were striking something hard enough. Are you always able to do that instead of some kind of softer material like carpet?"

He makes a face.

"Maybe? No way to guarantee it though."

"Alright well this is going to take more thought than I have time for right now," he admitted with a sigh. Why did he have so much responsibility on this train? (Oh right, he gave it to himself). "If you get any good ideas though, pass them my way. We'll test any theory we can till we find one that works."

"'s alright." Kaito grins at him. "I've been working on it for a while myself, obviously. Two heads are bettern' one, after all!"
