Passenger IC Questionnaire

[ooc: This is a questionnaire that Tony is handing out to everyone on the train both now and in the future. Please answer them IC. Also, thanks to Kinzie for doing the html.]

Congratulations! You’re now on the Void Train and no, that’s not a band name. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

Hey-yo! Too much info on what you were doing before being taken.

[Tony gives her an amused grin. He points at her age.]

My wife would've given the same answer.

[ Telli directs a perfectly innocent look towards Tony as she responds: ]

What? It’s perfectly natural.

[ Before her face settles into a look of confusion: ]

Was your wife the blond you were embracing on the platform? I will admit I initially believed them male even though I know better than to assume.

[He laughs and nods.]

That it is. I'll have to give him an 'attaboy' later when I see him.

[The next remark has him visibly taken back. All the humor from a moment ago falters as he scrambles to recover and find an answer he was willing to give.]

That was Ignis. He's.. male.

[He glances down at his wedding ring.]

My situation is complicated.

[shockinglycaffeinated]

[ She files away the name but doesn't say anything until Tony's done speaking ]

Complicated? So he's not your wife?

[This was awkward. He'd normally tell her to butt out, but she did just complete his nosy questionnaire so... *sigh*.]

He's my boyfriend. My wife is still in my home world and whether I'm here or there, I'm never seeing her or my daughter again. By the timeline I've determined and an account from someone who is from my world but a later time, I die within minutes of when I was brought here.

So.. complicated.

[He smirks.]

But he is pretty like a woman.

[shockinglycaffeinated]

[ Telli nods as she listens to Tony speak, filing away the information in case it becomes useful or relevant later.

When he's done speaking she reaches a hand out, lightly laying it on Tony's arm. ]

I'm sorry for your loss. It is not easy, knowing you cannot go back to the life you knew. And I will not make it worse by prying more; but so you know, I will not judge you for your relationship here. This is not the most [ She pauses for a second ] unusual relationship I've seen.

[ She pats Tony's arm and leans in a little, like she's about to tell a secret ]

But since you shared with me, I'll share with you. [ She taps a nail next to the paper where she'd written 'sleeping with Luke' ]

Luke does not know this because I'm from his future, but we were actually just sleeping. A mission required us to take on a [ she pauses again as she finds the words to describe it ] certain persona, and sharing a bed was a part of it. We are nothing more than friends, but I plan to allow him to draw his own misconceptions for a while.

[ She pats Tony's arm before releasing him and moving out of his space ]

[Tony gave Telli a small but grateful smile at her accepting his relationship with Ignis without judgment. He thought about it sometimes and wondered what Pepper would think if she knew about that and about Tony's fate. Would she forgive him? Would she hate him for it? He had no idea despite what he told Ignis and others- even himself at times.

Fortunately he didn't have too long to dwell on that as she shared her secret with him. As soon as she explained, he tilted back in his chair and laughed heartily. He pointed a finger at her.]

You're going to get me in trouble, Telli. I just know it. Till then, you and I are going to get along just fine.

[shockinglycaffeinated]

[ She adopts a slightly scandalized expression, but allows a bit of her true, mischievous nature to show through. ]

I resent the implication that I'm ever trouble.

[He held his hand out to her with an amused smirk.]

Welcome to the train, Telli.

[shockinglycaffeinated]

[ Telli placed her hand in his but not in a position to be shaken, obviously she expects a more courtly gesture. ]

I would say it's good to be here, but I try to never lie.

[Tony looked at their hands awkwardly for a moment. He then gives her a smirk.]

I don't kiss hands, but it's nothing against you. And you might be surprised about this place. It's better than it seems at first.

[shockinglycaffeinated]

[ She stares at him for a moment before patting his hand and letting go. ]

Well, as long as there aren't Hutts I suppose this can't be the worst place I've been.

[He turned back to his papers before recalling on last thing to tell her.]
