Congratulations! You’re now on the Void Train and no, that’s not a band name. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

What’s your birthday/ years you’ve been alive? I'm 19, I think? Maths isn't my best subject. Birthday's October 12th.
How many years is the average lifespan of your particular species? I don't know, depends on how badly you piss people off. Old, unless you die first, or unless they bring you back after you die for kicks.
Year you’re from: 2019
How many months in your world’s calendar? Twelve.
How many days in the months? The normal amount?
How many hours? Minutes? Seconds? What kind of survey is this? Hours in a month? Again, not good at maths.
What was happening when you were taken from your time and woke up on the train platform? Big party after the barrier came down. Why?
What were some of the recent big events that have occurred before you woke? You ask a lot of questions. One of the Good Girls tried to take over the world, we stopped her because the VKs asked us to help. Pushed us into it, really. She almost died, Hades brought her back, the future king and queen of everything good decided the barrier was a crap idea and brought it down finally. So we had a party.
If you had not been taken at that point in time, would you still be alive? Yes? Unless something extremely shitty happened.

Technology:

What is the most advanced technological device in your world? We've got magic so... Plus most of the good stuff doesn't work on the Isle unless you rig it, so why bother.
Is this train something new or are there trains like this in your world? We've got trains. The ones on the Isle don't usually work great, but we've got them.
Do you have trains, but not ones that go through the Void? What's the Void?
What is a common piece of technology you use regularly? What kind of question is that? Most reliable tends to be the basic stuff.

Does your world use magic? Do you use magic? Is your magic based on a device/ talisman/ lineage/ race? Of course we do. I don't, not my thing even if I could, but considering we've got a bunch of resurrected villains on an island separated from the mainland by a magical barrier, yeah. We've got magic. All kinds, pick your poison. Not that anybody can actually use it on the Isle because, you know. "Villains", so it's outlawed, barrier prevents it and everything.

Thank you Harry. You may not have noticed, but there are people here from all sort of worlds. They have different levels of technology. So what you think is 'normal' might be very different to someone else. That's the point of these questions, not to find out anything about your stupid underoos.

Not that I'll wear them anyway. Different levels of technology I understand, even Auradon's got better stuff than the Isle does, but days and hours seems pointless.

I’ve known Harry nearly...all my life? No, that’s not true. I was castle schooled and hadn’t seen him for about a decade after my sixth birthday, and then we went to rival villain academy’s. What I do know of Harry is threatening him will not help you out any. It just exacerbates the situation and makes getting him to cooperate near impossible.

I do know that positivity and kindness and genuinely meant compliments throw him.

If that’s your take-away from what I said, I apologize. But I think you’re the opposite of a pathetic idiot. I think you’re quite smart and far from pathetic.

Pirate or not, Harry, we are all stuck on this train with no idea how to leave. It would probably be beneficial not just to yourself but to everyone here, including myself, if you were a little more cautious with how you act. I’m not saying go full bore Auradon boy. But you’re capable of finding a workable middle ground. You did when Audrey sent the suits of armor after us.

[ His first answer is a frustrated shout through clenched teeth and a raised and clenched fist, fingers flexing like he wants to punch something. There's truth in her words, sure, but that doesn't make them sit well, and it doesn't mean he necessarily agrees with all of it. He hasn't had the better part of two years off the Isle, hasn't had the benefit of trying to integrate before getting thrown here. This is all brand new, and she's asking him to do what feels impossible. ]

That was a fight. Easy to co-operate, and it was Uma your girl won over.

[ If he's expecting a reaction from Evie for his outburst, he's probably going to be disappointed. Evie crosses her arms over her chest, listens to his reasoning and shrugs. ]

You jumped through the barrier after we got the Ember from Hades, but it wasn't for a 'wee visit' like you said. You can't convince me you don't want better than what the Isle had to offer for yourself or your sisters or your crew, otherwise you wouldn't have pulled that kind of escape.

This isn't Auradon. This is the middle ground between the Isle and there. You can adapt. You're a pirate. It's what pirates do. They adapt and find ways to survive. I've never met a pirate who wasn't up to that kind of challenge, and you're one of the smartest, most adaptable ones I know.

Uh oh.. you complimented him. Is he going to combust now?

[ It's difficult to point at different people on different screens, but he tries anyway. ]

I jumped through to look for Uma. Waited two bleeding years for it too. Sure, Mal's promise was a nice way to sweeten the pot but she never meant it at the start and don't all the Isle kids want to get out? Isn't exactly paradise.

[ He grumbles and snarls, and Tony poking at things doesn't help, at all, but he finally sighs, and relents. Sort of. Because she's right. Mal's lie hurt exactly because he'd wanted to try out something better. She'd made the promise and it was a chance, then yanked away and given back, and...okay, so he's got it again here, maybe, but it takes some getting used to. Old habits die hard. So he's still thorny as hell, but the words at least are helpful. -Ish. ]

But fine. I'll adapt.

[ Mr Stark, at most, gets an expression of exasperation at what he'd said. It was unnecessary and ill timed and it could have gone so much worse for everyone involved. The reminder of Mal's lie gets a small frown of understanding from Evie. She's still hurt that Mal had been dishonest. It was a hell of a lie to tell people to get them to help. But Harry's going to try to adapt, and him saying that? That gets a small, proud smile from Evie. ]

Whatever. We done?

[ Isle tactics. It doesn't feel like a win, so he retreats. Easier that way, he can play it cool. Pretend he doesn't care. Get some distance and time to rework things, figure out what comes next. ]
