Passenger IC Questionnaire

[ooc: This is a questionnaire that Tony is handing out to everyone on the train both now and in the future. Please answer them IC. Also, thanks to Kinzie for doing the html.]

Congratulations! You’re now on the Void Train and no, that’s not a band name. This is, for better or worse, a new world for all of us and we’re stuck here. In order to detect patterns in these abductions, I’m conducting a survey. Please answer everything to the best of your ability. If you have any questions about the form please consult whoever is standing next to you other than me, because you should be intelligent enough to answer these very straight forward questions.

[Tony gave her a polite smile and nod when she comes into his lab to hand in the paper. Giving it a quick scan, he looks up at her curiously.]

You're a Senator of your planet or what kind of government?

[democratically]

[Many people had spoken of 'Tony', which is why she does regard him with a keen interest as she pauses, thinking a moment, before replies.]

My particular planet is an elected monarchy, but we are part of the Galactic Republic as well.

[His eyebrows rise. That for once, sounded promising.]

Does this universe you're from have other universes within it too or is it different planets or galaxies? We were searched not that long about by inspectors claiming there was a multi-verse kind of government system they were apart of. Would you know anything about this?

Different planets, although the Republic is made of various star systems, sectors and member worlds of our known galaxy.

[Her brow furrows slightly, before giving a small shake of her head.]

I do not believe that would have had anything to do with the Republic.

[It had been worth asking even if it turned out the two things weren't connected.]

Who are the others who are from your galaxy?

Mm. There is a girl called Misa and there's a man called Luke.

[And possibly one called Cal, although she hadn't confirmed that yet.]

Ah, I wondered if you were part of Luke's world- er- galaxy.. whatever.

[He folded his arms across his chest.]

Are you a friend of his?

[He watched her carefully, looking for any negative reaction that might indicate the opposite was true.]

[Is she a friend? She has just met him, although he seems like a nice enough person, even if there is something that she can't quite place.]

From what he has said, he is from the future- or I am from the past.

[Depending which way you looked at it.]

An acquaintance, perhaps? Although I would have no qualms about getting to know more about him.

[He could handle neutral acquaintances. There wasn't much of a reason to be overly protective of Luke if that was all she was. He nodded, understanding what she was meaning.]

That's fair enough. He's had some.. I'm just looking out for him. He's a good kid. Do you have any questions for me about this place?

[democratically]

[Had some...? Troubles, perhaps, given how his sentence trails off. She nods, offering a smile, not pressing. If anything, it would be Luke's story to tell.]

I understand. I've no quarrel with him. He seems a pleasant individual.

[And despite the... nervousness, perhaps, although she wasn't entirely certain that was the proper word for it, he had been welcoming, helping her.]

Luke did mention that you would be able to offer more insight about this place.

[It is less daunting than the senate in some ways, although less so in others, as she had chosen the senate and that duty.]

You've been here a while?

[He gave her a grateful smile for not making him elaborate more and reassuring him that the young man was safe. He might be an incredible swordsman and perfectly capable, but he was young and Tony cared about him.

The next topic is way more comfortable.]

Ah, yes. I was among the first group who boarded the train. That's been three and half months ago. We all found ourselves on a platform like you just did with very little information about how we got here or why.

And there was no one else on the train when you boarded, no sign of anyone previously being there?

[She does wonder why it started then, or if it had. It may well have been going on for longer, despite not liking that idea. Had there been previous heroes, or had the need for heroes just surfaced?]

No, there were about twelve of us and we were the only ones here. Everything on the train was brand new. We've since learned that there are other 'voidtreckers' out there- trains that go between worlds to help when worlds are dying or in great danger. As far as I can tell, that's the main purpose of why we've been brought here.
