Welcome to our Test Drive Meme! Here is the place to see how your character might fit the setting, grab some samples and start having fun!

1. Post with your character. I’ve written out some prompts but feel free to make up your own, you have a whole train to play with!

Dining Car

Situated above the kitchen the dining car has a large wooden table stretching the length of the carriage. Two long wooden benches run either side of it. At meal times it is inevitably crowded, chaotic and noisy without a doubt.

Try not to jostle your fellow diners as you navigate inter-universe table manners. Or is waiting better? Eating before or after everyone else so that you can eat in relative peace an entire table length from the next nearest person.

Or are you the rebel who starts a food fight?

Chores

Chores are part of life on board the Voidtrecker Express. Each team is assigned a task each month: Cleaning kitchen and bathrooms, cleaning bedrooms and passenger areas, laundry and cooking.

Obviously the only thing enforcing these chores in a passengers own conscience and their fellow travellers.

Are you diligent or do you shirk? Do you try swapping your tasks with someone else? Or just outright bribing someone to do your work for you? Work together to get the task done or try and persuade a lazy team member to pull their weight.

Snow Way!

In a small village a copy-cat of the supervillain Professor Chill has struck! She has no weather machine but holds the same ability to control snow- and seems to be using natural winter to attack the village.

Team One

The village is being attacked by snowmen and ice golems. Magically animated ice creatures that attack with sticks and claws. Protect the village by fighting off the snow creatures!

Team Two

Many of the village have tried to escape through a mountain pass. Go and help them evacuate. Fend off monsters, carry children or luggage. Help the villagers through the snowdrifts.

Team Three

Our villain seems as fond of puns as her predecessor and finding her is made either easier or harder by the trail of clues left by her. Clues consist of puns, ice riddles and snow facts. Solve the clues and track her down to bring her to justice.

Snowball fight!

Of course once the monsters and villain have been defeated there is some time to have fun in the snow. If anyone can stand the sight of it any more. Snowballs, snow angels and snowmen (the non animated kind) are yours for the making.

Dining Car

Steve's tastes are simple: a ham sandwich and a bowl of chicken noodle soup is good enough for him. Honestly, it feels good to do something as mundane as sit down and eat a filling dinner. Or lunch. Whatever it is. The only thing that would make this better is if he had some company, but beggars can't be choosers.

Chores

Here's a guy who's no stranger to hard work. The way Steve sees it, it passes the time and it cleans up the place. It's definitely a win/win in his book, so he's gotten himself a broom and dustpan and he's sweeping around the dining car. He's so engrossed in his work that at first, he doesn't even notice when someone walks in.

When he does, he's quick to sweep up the dust pile and look up at the newcomer with a sheepish grin. "Sorry, I'm just about done, so help yourself." He doesn't want to be the one to stop someone from grabbing a bite to eat.

Snow Way: Team One

Steve's not quite sure how he got swept up in this, but when push comes to shove, there's nothing for him to do but try and fight off the monsters with the others. It feels beyond strange to go after ice creatures with a gun and his fists, but that's all he's got going for him right now.

He's about to go in for another hit when he spots someone who looks like they're getting in the worst part of harm's way. "Hey, watch out behind you!"

Company comes in the form of a particularly tired looking Spider-Kid. His hair is sticking out in places and he looks a lot like he might have just rolled out of bed. Please ignore that it's probably after mid-day. He's fine. He doesn't need anyone else getting on his case about bad sleeping habits.

He lets out a powerful yawn and slips into a seat before just staring blankly at the table as he does every morning. He's got a can of Monster in one hand and takes a long drink. Give him a few seconds, he'll wake up more soon.

Hey, it's a familiar face, and that makes Peter a welcome sight in Steve's book. Plus, if he joins him, it gives him the chance to figure out why he looks so tired. Sorry, Peter, but he might possibly get on your case just a little bit.

Steve takes a bite of his sandwich and swallows it before addressing Peter. "Hey, rough night?"

Peter's just taking a moment to enjoy delicious taste of sugar coated caffeine no one else seems to like him drinking-but oh well.

"Hm?" Peter feigns ignorance as he tries to think about how best to answer. It really depends on what Cap would think of as rough night. Tossing and turning? Nightmares? PTSD flash backs? Not sleeping at all? Can't have nightmares if you don't sleep.

"Nah, I was just up late playing the Space Racer game." He states. Technically, it's the truth-he just doesn't mention the fact it was entirely because he couldn't sleep. "What time is it, anyway?" He makes a poor attempt to shift the subject.

Well, perhaps luck is on Peter's side, because he may very well be talking to the one person who doesn't know the ins and outs of energy drinks.

And for what it's worth, if Steve knew that any of that was happening to Peter, he'd try to figure out some way to help, including backing off if that's what he wanted. Still, Peter's too young to have to go through that alone.

"Space Racer, huh? Sounds like it could be fun." Steve gives Peter a smile then, because hey, if he wants to steer the conversation elsewhere, he'll just follow his lead. "It's afternoon, I think." His grin turns sheepish, because maybe the time is something he should know. "I just felt hungry, so I guess that makes sense."

Luck is never on Peter's side. Sometimes, it'll try and make him think it's on his side only to yank the blanket out from underneath him just to remind him that the universe-or multiverse (as the case may be) hates him.

"It is! It's kinda like Mario Kart, but like and alien au version." He explains, starting to look a little more awake. "They even have what's basically the blue shell-except it's a fish? I think? It's hard to tell." He represses another yawn and just takes a drink again. "Which is great 'cause before there was like nothing to do and every time I told Mr Stark I was bored he kept giving me chores."

Honestly, is luck with any of them anymore? Sometimes Steve doubts that. He's right there with Peter on the whole blanket-yanking thing.

"Well, maybe one of these days, you'll show me. If you want to, of course." He's not big on forcing people into anything, and it's not like he knows Peter very well. Just because it seems to him that now might be as good a time as any to change that doesn't mean he feels the same way. Steve chuckles at that last part, though. "That does sound like Tony. Hopefully he didn't give you too many."

It's been a pretty constant thing in Peter's life so he really should just always be on guard for the other shoe to drop but that's a rough way to live life so he does his best to shrug it off and joke about the constant suffering that is his life.

"Seriously? I'd love to." He shrugs his shoulders as the excitement builds. "I mean-I'm always looking for more people to play against-Wade-he uh left-but he used to play it with me at night since I don't sleep-and sometimes Kaito's up so he'll play but yeah-totally. It's a blast." He jabbers with all the excitement of a teenage kid. Also, along with the having absolutely no luck, Peter is also bound to tell on himself eventually.

"..Uh... not too many, I mean I usually only do one or two 'cause he comes up with like a whole list of things I should be doing and I don't know if he's noticed but I have a kind short-ish attention span."

The warning comes a little too late as the ice monster's fist connects with the helpless human's head... and goes right through as the "human" dissolves. A moment later a bolt of green light hits the monster in the chest and it explodes.

Loki appears next to Steve and smirks. "Thank you for the sentiment, but I have matters well in hand."
